Intro:

Ethereal Reverie was written by janefanfics. It won third place in the "Best Presentation" category in my Padauk Awards. "Best Presentation" judges the title, blurb, cover, and any additional aesthetics within the book, which is what I'll be talking about today in this review. Let's get right into it!

Short Feedback

The title is really nicely done with two words that don't overstay their welcome but also aren't too short that I don't have any idea what I'm reading after looking at it. The two words chosen inspire questions in the audience and make us want to click the "see more" option to read the blurb and see the cover in a bigger picture. So, overall, the title does a good job hooking us in.

I don't think I need to tell you that the cover is cool. But either way, I'll tell you: the cover is cool. The colors being like police sirens showing two sides is really, really cool. I love the way the two are looking at each other from different perspectives: one is normal, the other is upside-down, and of course that one is the one with the darker red, hinting that something ominous might be coming. Everything is visually cohesive and attracts the reader to the book!

The last thing I'd like to go over is the inside aesthetics and graphics! The banners are super calming and fit in perfectly with the narrative. The aesthetics of the chapter titles and the dividers are also handled well—I don't think I mentioned that in my initial review, but I figured I'd mention it here since that's another part I liked about the presentation. All the chapters felt really pretty to look at, as did the dividers, and I appreciated that!

All in all, I didn't have much in the way of criticisms for this presentation because I thought it was pretty nicely done and visually attractive to the reader. Everything feels like it flows well and connects, and I overall enjoyed the presentation very much, with the cover being my personal favorite part. Overall, great job with this!

Ethereal Reverie has fantastic presentation that's going to catch the reader's attention from the cover and title, and then keep you around after seeing the blurb and all the pretty graphics inside. If you're someone who enjoys pretty graphics and an interesting story, then this is the perfect book for you!
