INEVITABLE || AVENGERS by @exposedwords

Title

The title for this book is nothing too special; just by reading the title, I figured out it's obviously related to the Avengers. The first thing that came to my mind is that this some kind of fanfic.

Cover

The cover is very simple: an image with the title. However, the image used is related to the book because, obviously, Thanos wiped out half of the population and the image shows the hand holding the earth like a ball on fire. The colours used on the cover go very well together, you've got the black background and then bright colours in the centre.

Blurb

I was severely confused by the blurb and had no idea what was going on. I mean, one minute, we have Doctor strange being mentioned and the next, a sentence beginning with she. The problem is, I don't have a clue as to who the 'she' is. That is, unless you've decided to create Doctor Strange as a female character in your book. I would say that you need to reconsider your blurb and make some vital changes.

First Chapter

The first chapter was constructed very well due to your descriptive writing, and it was also interesting to read a book related to Thanos. At first, I was definitely hesitant about reading it because I was thinking, "This is going to be another fanfic." However, I quite liked the chapter at the end and was kind of wanting to read more because I had gotten into it.

Plot / Theme

I like the plot so far even though it's only two chapters. You've included the idea of Thanos having another child whom he took from someone who he killed and raises her as a fighter. In the prologue, we have the baby being introduced to Grimmora and some information about her, and in the first chapter, we have Leena who is now grown up and is doing what her father wants her to do. There isn't exactly a specific theme or themes which I'm grasping from reading the book though.

Writing

Your writing is very descriptive and informative at times. As a reader, there are times where I'd like to figure out the information for myself or think about it instead of just being told it all. An example would be figuring out where Leena came from instead of being told in the prologue that Thanos snatched her from her mum who he killed.

Characters

I wouldn't say there's any specific characters who are my favourite as there are only two chapters so it is difficult to judge upon them. However, the main character Leena does show development throughout the first chapter as she begins to feel bad for hurting people, and it's like she knows she shouldn't be doing what she does, but she has no choice because she has Thanos for her father.

Overall Impression

The book is okay I guess. I mean, it's too early for me to say whether it's a great book or not as it only has two chapters. Your writing and descriptions did make it slightly enjoyable for me to be able to read the book and not get bored of it. Some feedback would be to try and develop the plot further and think about your characters, their personalities and emotions. Overall, I think once you write a few more chapters then maybe it would attract people to read it as it is very much in early days.
