Pidge started at Allura, gaping openly as Allura looked ashamed. Lance was to her right and Hunk to her left. Both boys had looks of terror. Shiro has frozen. Keith was pale, his hands were shaking.

"Since they required more... developed females we have made estrogen to boost your levels and grant you full puberty within the course of a few seconds." Allura explained. Her hands cling onto the small vial. Her tears stinging the back of her eyes.

"B-But. What if they-"

"They won't." Keith's voice broke Pidge's speech. Keith's jaw was set, his hands turning to fists.

"Katie won't be going." He restated.

Allura looked shocked, then angry. "We don't have any other options!" She said to him. Her voice harsh with hurt.

"I can't go in because they required one of the Paladins. They'll know I'm not one of you as soon as I step in the room. The only other female is Pidge. We have to do this, as much as I hate it." Allura explained. Coran avoiding everyone's stares.

Shiro gasped.

"Keith, don't."

His voice was firm. His eyes widening as Keith shook his head. His eyes were glassy. A shaky smile began to form on his face.

"I have to Shiro. I won't let Pidge go through what I did." Shiro winced. "But there's no-"

Keith let out a small chuckle.

"I know. And, if it means Pidge is kept safe and happy, I'm okay."

Allura looked confused. Lance was about to ask a question, then was cut off by his yelp of surprise as Keith took the vial from Allura.

"Bottoms up?"

"Keith what the hell are you doing!?" Pidge shouted.

Shiro moves to Keith, squeezing his hand. "Are you sure?" Keith nodded.

"It'll just be like before. Before the binders and before the T shots. I've done it before." Keith explained to him. Shiro frowned. "Will you be okay mentally?"

Keith shook his head.

"But I can't do anything about it now. Especially when Pidge is involved." He decided, opening the vials cap.

Shiro winced at the pop let loose as the vial's rubber top fell to the floor. Keith's hands were shaking.

Pidge was confused.

"Keith, what're you doing?! What do you mean "like before"?" Pidge's voice wavered. Her eyes wide as the brightly colored serum drained into Keith's throat. He gagged, "Ew, it tastes gross." He murmured before swallowing.

"Dude! That'll mess up you're system, you don't have estrogen!" Lance screeched. Keith blinked tiredly. A small smile graced his lips.

"I'm trans, Lance."

Shiro was there to catch him as he passed out and fell to the floor.
