What I Had

"I can't."

Gideon groaned. "Paz, you're gonna have to face him sooner or later, so this would be like the perfect time to go."

Pacifica shook her head. "I don't think I can do this."

"Scaredy cat." Gideon mumbled. "He's gonna be mad if you don't explain why."

".......but Gideon-!"

"No 'buts' except yours out the damn door now woman up, and go to him!" Gideon exclaimed, making jump a little as his voice reached the level of shouting.

"........but I-" Pacifica started to whisper but her voice shook giving way to her fear for him. "Gideon you know what he's like...."

"He's deranged, yeah I know." Gideon shook his head and stood by his cousin. "But I've never seen him look at anyone like the way he looked at you." Gideon forced himself to smile. He never liked the idea of Pacifica dating Dipper, but he knew it made both of them happy, and he also started to ship them.

"Never?" Pacifica asked, feeling something wet stain her face. Tears, she thought.

"Never ever, because he never felt anything for anyone! He didn't even feel pity for his sister when I broke up with her." Gideon explained. "The point being, go to him!"

"O-okay!" Pacifica said, her newfound confidence getting the best of her. "I'll go!" She shouted as she bolted for the door, hoping what Gideon said was true.

"Paz!" Gideon shouted from the doorway as she ran. "You damn idiot! Take the car!" He tossed her the keys and she gratefully caught them and sprinted to the car.

Here goes nothing, Pacifica heaved a sigh and rang the bell for Gleeful Manor. Fingers crossed behind her back, the door opened to reveal a very perturbed looking Mabel Gleeful. "What do you want, Southeast?" She asked, her hands on her hips. "Just because my brother likes you doesn't mean I have to-oh wait," she paused and put a cruel smirk on her face, "you broke his heart, how could he love you?"

"Mabel, I know you hate me, but I honestly can take your crap any other day but now really isn't the time." Pacifica stared into Mabel's electric blue eyes. "I need to speak to Dipper."

"Hmm," Mabel tapped her chin with her finger to indicate that she was really thinking over this decision. "No."

"No?" Pacifica echoed in confusion.

"No. N. O, spells no." Mabel explained. "I would hope that you understand what no means."

"I do." Pacifica replied through gritted teeth. "Now why won't you let me speak with him?"

"Hmm, let me think,"she started, "you accused him of hurting Gideon when all he was really doing, was beating him up because he broke up with me."

Huh.......well then. "But nonetheless, he still hurt my cousin."

"On my orders." Mabel explained.

"So that automatically makes it not his fault?" Pacifica asked, curiosity building.

"Of course not." Mabel shook her brunette head. "Now give Southeast." She slammed the door in Pacifica's face and Pacifica heard the door lock.

She sighed and looked towards the ground, feeling terrible for breaking up with him. "I'm sorry Dipper." She whispered as if he could possibly hear her.

The door opened again and Pacifica expected it to be Dipper, but it was still Mabel. "Besides, you couldn't talk to him now, he's already left."

"L-left?" Pacifica asked, her eyes widening. "W-when?! W-where?"

"He left a few minutes ago." Mabel said, a smirk creeping onto her face.

"Where?!" Pacifica exclaimed, starting to freak out.

"To uh....where'd he go..." Mabel asked, pretending to think so she would be able to stall Pacifica for a little bit longer.

"Where?" Pacifica sighed, and rubbed her eyes to hide the tears forming in her eyes.

"I think he went to.......Wisconsin." Mabel smirked as she said it, knowing that Pacifica would be either mad or upset.

"Why?!" Pacifica asked, hoping that Mabel was actually lying.

"Uh, college? Remember? He's quite the smart one." Mabel said, biting back a smart remark.

"I didn't think he'd be leaving this soon." Pacifica mumbled. "So he's not here?"

Mabel shook her head.

"Then why did you stall me and keep me here?!" Pacifica exclaimed, "now I see why Gideon strongly disliked you!"

"I stalled you because Dipper had a feeling that you'd show up and try to make him stay, so he made me stall you until he left. Which," Mabel checked her fancy watch, "was fifteen minutes ago."

"I'm sorry Mabel but I've got to go!" Pacifica ran from the door and back to her car.

"He's not going to be happy!" Mabel shouted to Pacifica. "Don't blame me if he hates you!"

"I won't." Pacifica murmured. "I won't."

His car! Pacifica sighed in relief when she saw his car still parked in the parking lot. She parked her car and looked around for a certain Dipper Gleeful. When she finally spotted him, she smiled a little. He hadn't changed a bit. She bit her lip and walked over to where he was.

"..........Dipper?" Pacifica asked, catching the brunette male completely off guard, making him drop his suitcase.

"Oh great, what do you want?" He asked, his question seemed to be friendly, but his eyes were predatorial and ready to attack.

"Dipper I-"

"I'm going to stop you right there," he said, picking up his suitcase. "I don't care for your apologies, so stop wasting your breath."

"But Dipper! I want to apologize!" Pacifica exclaimed, stamping her foot. "I'm sorry for leaving you...I really am sorry!"

"Sorry doesn't cut it." He replied, grabbing his suitcase handle. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be on my way." He started to meander over to the taxi.

"Dipper, wait!" Pacifica exclaimed running over to him. "Please, just tell me that you forgive me!"

"But I-"

"Please!" Pacifica begged. "Just say-!"

"Alright, I forgive you!" He held up his hands, like he was surrendering. "Just....stop."

"Dipper I...."

"You what?" He asked, looking at the blonde curiously.

"I love you." She whispered.

"And I loved you." He said, with a sad smile on his face.

"L-loved?" She asked, her voice betraying her.

"Of course I loved you, but I don't anymore." He said, a cruel and cold smile appearing on his face. "I'd like to say I'm sorry, but that would be called lying."

Pacifica froze and wiped the tears off her face. She wrapped her arms around him and held him close to her. As much as Dipper wanted to push her off of him, he had to admit he missed this. He kissed the top of her head and then moved away from her. "Alright, I'll admit, I still love you."

"Are you staying in Reverse Falls?" She asked, hopefully.

Dipper stared at her, his eyes softening in an instant when he saw the pain in her eyes. He tussled her hair, making her look up at him. He opened his mouth to speak and Pacifica knew that she had convinced him to stay in Reverse Falls with her. "No."
