Full Of Colors

Pacifica sat in her seat and waited patiently for the orchestra to begin playing. She had made Gideon come along to see, what Pacifica called 'classic arts'. Gideon huffed the entire drive, but it didn't bother Pacifica one bit. She was just too excited.

"This is going to be boring, Paz." Gideon said as they pulled into the parking lot. "I'm going to be bored out of my mind!"

"Then sleep, and only listen to the music, it'll help." Pacifica rolled her eyes at her cousin who kept complaining.

Gideon frowned and sunk lower in his seat. Pacifica stared at the stage excitedly and hit her cousin's arm when the lights dim. "It's starting!" She whispered in an excited tone.

Gideon rolled his eyes but eyed the stage warily.

"Welcome one and all to the Reverse Falls Academy of the Arts!" A lady with too much make up said from the stage. "Tonight we will have performers playing and we'll figure out as an audience which one was the best."

"This is what you wanna see?" Gideon hissed. "God I'm going to die of boredom!"

Pacifica hit his arm and turned her gaze back to the stage. The lady walked off the stage and the first contestant came onto the stage. It was a girl with fiery red hair and a pale face. She had a cello with her and Pacifica waited for her to begin playing.

"Was she good or what?" Pacifica asked her cousin once the redhead finished her piece.

Gideon only shrugged. "She was fine."

The lady with too much makeup arrived on the stage again and gave the crowd a fake smile. "Our next contestant will be arriving shortly." She walked off the stage and Pacifica couldn't help but frown. The lady with too much makeup seemed like a huge phony.

Gideon sighed and looked at the clock on the wall. "How much longer till we can leave?" He asked.

Pacifica rolled her eyes, "we'll go after this performer." She whispered and turned her attention back to the stage.

The next contestant appeared on the stage, violin in hand, and Pacifica couldn't help but feel drawn towards his eyes. They were an icy blue color, like they were frozen. He waited a minute before raising his violin to neck before he began to play.

Pacifica felt just as drawn to the music as she was to his eyes. It made her world. . .colorful, instead of bleak. She leaned forward in her seat and watched the colors fill her head with thoughts. She wondered how she had never heard this man play before, she was positive that she had heard every violinist ever.

When he finished his piece, the crowd stood up and applauded so loud that Gideon covered his ears. "Can we go now?" He asked loudly over the music.

Pacifica nodded but she was focused on the spot where the man had been. "But I need to do something first."

"Pacifica, isn't this illegal?!" Gideon hissed as the two of them made their way backstage. "We could go to jail for this! And then my father will kill me!"

"Not if we don't get caught," Pacifica whispered back. "Come on, I need to meet this guy in person!"

They made their way toward the rooms and Pacifica felt her heart swell when she saw the violinist go into a room. She walked over, but right before she could knock on the door, or get close to the door, a brunette beauty walked past her and Pacifica could recognize her anywhere; it was Mabel Gleeful.

"That was a complete success!" Mabel exclaimed as she sat down next to the violinist. "You were wonderful." She leaned forward and kissed both of his cheeks.

Pacifica sighed and headed back towards Gideon. He noticed her expression and eyed her curiously. "What happened?"

"Another girl was with him," Pacifica replied solemnly. "Let's just go, Gids." She walked past him and out of the stupid building.

Pacifica walked through the halls of her college and hoped that she'd get to the music room before she would get stopped by Mabel Gleeful. Pacifica dodged her friend's questions and avoided Cody as she made her way. She smiled slightly when she saw her favorite instrument in the whole world; the piano.

She sat in front of the keys and clicked them just to get the feel for it again. Then, she went into her masterpiece.

It was music that brightened Pacifica's day. All the colors she saw while playing was amazing to her, and she never wanted to let that feeling go.

"So, you play?"

Pacifica jumped in surprise when she turned to see a male student leaning against the door frame with his shoulder. Pacifica couldn't help but feel like this guy was familiar. "Yes," she replied in a small voice.

"Well, I need to ask a favor of you," he walked towards Pacifica. "My accompanist canceled on me last minute and I have a show tonight, could you be my accompanist?"

Pacifica was flattered that some completely random student had asked her to play his piece. Then she noticed he was wearing a uniform. "I'll take it that you don't go to RFC?"

He chuckled, a deep sound, but it sounded musical. "Not at all, I go to the Reverse Falls Academy of the Arts." He smiled slightly at her. "I'll pick you up?" Although when he said it, it sounded more like a demand than a question.

"Six thirty?" Pacifica asked.

"Not a minute later." He promised before walking out of the room.

Later when Pacifica arrived home, she was concerned about what she would wear. Gideon was puzzled by his cousin's attitude. "What's going on?" He asked while she rushed around her room, figuring out what to wear.

"Someone needs me to be their accompanist," Pacifica explained briefly. "I needed to help him."

"Him?!" Gideon echoed as Pacifica pulled a pale pink spaghetti strap dress from the closet.

"Go, I need to change." She pushed him from the room and proceeded to get dressed.

At six thirty, she waited patiently in the living room, waiting for the guy to show up. A car pulled up in the driveway and she leapt from her seat. "I'll be back later, uncle Bud!" She called. He only replied with a grunt so she left.

"My my, you look stunning." The man said he grabbed Pacifica's hand lightly and kissed it. Pacifica blushed furiously, for she was not used to this kind of attention. "We need to get there before seven thirty, let's go." He opened the passenger door, which Pacifica slid into gratefully. He closed it and walked over to the drivers side.

Once the two of them arrived, the man immediately disappeared into a dressing room and left Pacifica stranded in the middle of a crowded room. Suddenly, Pacifica spotted Mabel a few paces away. When Mabel saw Pacifica, she glared daggers at her before disappearing amount the crowd.

Pacifica felt an arm snake around her waist and she looked up to see the student who needed her help, she was still surprised that she didn't know his name. Although his attire was completely different; he was wearing a black suit and a black tie, his hair still messy, but his eyes so intense, so icy-

"We need to go, we're up next." He whispered in her ear and Pacifica only nodded. It couldn't have been the same violinist from the night prior, could it?

* * *

The two of them made it to the stage and Pacifica took her seat on the piano bench and waited for him to give her the signal to start playing.

He raised his bow, and Pacifica struck the first note, and suddenly their music was just flowing together, it sounded too pure, too beautiful, and Pacifica couldn't actually believe that she was playing alongside this violinist that struck her right in the heart with his music.

When they finished their piece, the crowd went legit wild. Pacifica noticed that the guy had walked over to her, his icy eyes shinning with light, "we did it!" He said, a smile on his face. Pacifica nodded and the two of them walked off stage.

When they were alone, he wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tightly. "Thank you," he whispered. "Couldn't have done with without you."

"I. . .I know who you are." Pacifica finally choked out. "I saw you perform yesterday! You're that guy!" She breathed fast, still in shock.

"Oh, so you know me?" He arched a brow. "Well my name is-"

"You!"

Pacifica winced and saw Mabel Gleeful heading this way. The guy muttered an 'oh shit' before he turned to face his girlfriend. "Hey. . ." He said, "I was looking for you-"

"You're a terrible liar." Mabel frowned. "Why is she here?"

"You know her?" He asked at the same time Pacifica asked "you know him?"

The man laughed, "sorry, my sister's a real bitch."

Pacifica's eyes popped out of her head. "Sister?"

"This is my twin sister Mabel, Mabel, this my accompanist." He explained. "I never introduced myself, I'm Dipper Gleeful."

"I know who you are," Pacifica smiled. "I still can't believe I played a piece with you!" She was ecstatic. "Ever since I saw you perform yesterday, I knew I wanted to perform with you."

"Oh really?" Mabel frowned. "Are we just going to talk about fucking music all night?" She stormed off and Dipper gave Pacifica a sheepish grin.

"She didn't get the music talent in my family," Dipper whispered to Pacifica. "I did."

Pacifica laughed, "I can tell."

"So, can I take my accompanist out for a drink? Or is that considered inappropriate?" Dipper asked, with a smirk on his face.

Pacifica turned to look at him, with shock written over her face, before she smiled at him. "No, a drink will do."
