Babysitting
No one asked for this, but I thought this would be cute. Also, I'm running out of chapters for this book. Wattpad only allows books to go to 200 parts max, so. I've been thinking, maybe I make another book? Kinda like a volume 2. Anyways, let me know!
"I never agreed to this." Dipper groaned, getting out of his car.
Pacifica got out of the passenger side. "You did, Dipper, remember? Anyways, I promised my neighbors I would watch their kids while they went out on New Years Eve."
"And I wanted to spend time with you on New Years Eve instead of going to Mabel's big party." Dipper replied.
"Well? Seems like you got what you wanted." Pacifica rolled her eyes and slung her bag over her shoulder.
"No, what I want to do is. . .more private, Pazzie." He winked at her, hoping it would change her mind about how she wanted to spend her night.
Unfortunately, it did not. "Ha ha, Dipper." She shook her head. "No, come on, do this for me?"
Sadly for Dipper, he couldn't hold his ground long enough when Pacifica asked him to do something that he didn't necessarily want to. He wouldn't let her know that, though. "Alright," he caved.
"Thank you!" She hugged him and placed a small kiss on his cheek. "Let's go."
As soon as the two walked up to the door, before even knocking or ringing the doorbell, it swung open to reveal two people that Dipper could only assume were his beloved's neighbors.
"Oh thank you, Pacifica." she hugged Pacifica. "It's been forever since we went out and--oh, who's this?"
Pacifica remembered that Dipper was standing next to her. "Oh, this is my. . .friend Dipper."
"Pleasure to meet you," Dipper said, and then thought, wait, friend?!
"oh, a gentleman."
"The very same." Dipper replied, grinning.
"Alright, you know their bedtimes right?" Pacifica's neighbor said as she led them into the house. "I say that they can stay up until midnight but then it's straight for bed. A dinner you can make?"
"Yeah." Pacifica nodded, causing Dipper to snort.
"Alright, we'll see you tomorrow." Each neighbor hugged Pacifica before they were out the door and soon gone from sight.
"Friend?" Dipper questioned again. "I'm reduced to a friend?!"
"I didn't want to tell them that you were my boyfriend because I didn't want it to seem like. . .well, you know." She stammered, flustered.
"I see." He murmured. "Alright, where are these supposed crazy kids?"
"The girl's name is Alice," Pacifica explained. "She looks almost exactly like me, and she's nine."
"Any more I have to worry about?" Dipper looked around the house.
"And her brother Jason who is twelve." Pacifica finished. "He's a handful, they both are especially."
"Wonderful." Dipper rolled his eyes. "Now, where are they?"
"I'll go find them, then I'll introduce them to you." Pacifica pointed at a chair near a counter in the kitchen. "You can sit and wait there."
"Yes, ma'am," he saluted her and went to sit down.
Once he did so, Pacifica walked up the stairs which led to their rooms. "Hey guys?" She called as she neared the top of the stairs.
A little blonde girl's eyes widened when she saw Pacifica. "Paz!" She squealed and ran at her at full force.
Pacifica leaned down and scooped her into her arms. "hey Alice,"
"Yay!" She cheered. "Paz's here!"
"Okay, let's head downstairs, there's someone I want you to meet, okay?" Pacifica carried Alice downstairs, and Jason followed them down as well.
Dipper, being obedient for once, stayed sitting at the counter, looking slightly bored. But when Pacifica returned, he straightened himself up and raised a brow at the girl in his girlfriend's arms, as well as the little boy clinging to her leg.
Pacifica set Alice down and then stood between the children and Dipper. "This is my good friend Dipper, he's going to stay here with us tonight. Is that okay with you two?"
Dipper really hoped it wasn't a serious question. He didn't want to be dateless on New Years Eve.
Alice looked at Dipper before a huge smile broke out onto her face. She then looked at Pacifica and whispered, but Dipper heard it regardless, "is he your boyfriend?"
Pacifica blushed red immediately. "N-no. Dipper's not my boyfriend."
Dipper shook his head. Wow, lying to a child, Pazzie. Tsk Tsk.
Jason looked skeptically at Dipper. "I've never seen you before." He said, looking Dipper up and down.
"That's because I don't live around here." Dipper replied. "I live a bit farther away."
"How far away?" Alice asked, moving away from Pacifica to stand by Dipper.
"A little town called Reverse Falls. In Oregon." Dipper informed them.
"That's pretty far." Jason commented.
"Did you walk all the way here?" Alice looked up at him. "Just to hang out with us?"
Dipper looked at Pacifica, who gave him a look of encouragement. He sighed and looked back down at Alice. "Yeah, I did. Pacifica was telling me all about you. She says you're funny and sweet."
Alice looked down at her feet, blushing at the comment.
Jason turned to Pacifica. "Is he staying the entire time?"
"Yes." She replied.
"I'm hungry." Alice interrupted.
"I can cook something if you want." Pacifica offered, walking over to the fridge.
Dipper took his chance and looked down at the younger kids. "Don't let Pazzie cook anything for you, she can't cook for the life of her."
"Hey!" Pacifica yelled.
"Whereas I can help you with that." He hopped off his stool and walked over to the fridge, Jason and Alice following him like little ducklings. "Alright, what do you two want?"
"Pizza!"
"Hot dogs!"
Dipper looked at the two of them, "maybe we could do pizzas."
"Really?" Alice's eyes widened like saucers.
"I make a nice pizza." Dipper commented, "home-made too."
"Really?" Alice repeated, still happy and excited. "How'd you learn?"
"I spent a couple months in Italy a few years back." Dipper explained. "Family connections."
"Whoa!" Alice's eyes, if it were possible, widened more. "I wanna go to Italy."
"Yeah?" Dipper asked, closing the fridge. "Alright, if we're going to make pizzas, we need to buy the supplies from the store. Who wants to go with me?"
"Me!" Both kids shouted in unison.
Dipper grabbed his car keys in one hand, "would you like to go as well, Pazzie?" He asked his girlfriend, who was shaking her head.
"yeah, why not." She shrugged and began herding the two kids to the car. She then looked at Dipper and whispered, "what the hell, how are you so good with kids?"
Dipper shrugged back at her, "dunno, Pazzie. I dunno." When he knew no kid was looking, he swiftly kissed her lips briefly and gave her his signature smirk.
