An Empty Room

Sometimes I dunno where I get my ideas but I hope y'all enjoy! I went with a more royal family in the early 19th century. It turned out way better than I hoped!

A/N 1: oh my goodness, this was way longer than I expected 😂😂

Of all the things that had to happen to me today this has got to be the most awful! Pacifica groaned inaudibly.

She sat on the tiled floor with her head laid on her arms, so it was covering her face.

"Miss Southeast, are you feeling alright?" A voice of uncertainty swept into the room.

Pacifica didn't dare look up. She knew exactly who the voice belonged to.

She and Dipper Gleeful had been locked in a room at Gleeful Manor while a ghost wrecked havoc. Not one of their best exorcisms.

Pacifica was trying to keep calm, but her breathing was rigid and uneven. Why me?

Many minutes had passed since they were locked in the room and many more since she had spoken. It doesn't help that he's in the room with me. She thought bitterly.

Only several moments later Dipper had joined her in the sitting position on the tiled floor. He was almost exactly mirroring her position, all except the head in hands.

Instead, his gaze was focused on the wall across from them. His family portrait was hung on the wall. Back from when the Gleeful family was actually happy.

Dipper heaved a sigh, clearly realizing that he wasn't going to get any reply from the blonde girl sitting near him. "I'm only asking because of what you were put through tonight. . .by me."

Pacifica still didn't respond to him.

"That roller coaster of emotions my family, myself included, was only a glimpse of hell." Dipper continued. "But, I had been meaning to talk to you for awhile."

Pacifica froze up. He wanted to talk to her? What more could he have to say? Everything he said in front of his parents seemed like enough!

"About what?" She asked, slowly raising her head.

Dipper eyed her, his own eyes filled with completely sincere intentions. "About, well, us. Are we. . .are we still together?"

Pacifica snorted. "Well, clearly your parents don't approve and you yourself had said that we were not so at this point I have no idea."

A light laugh erupted from Dipper's lips. "Really? Well, seeing as you have no idea, I'm at a loss as well."

Pacifica winced, and kept her voice barely above as whisper when she said, "I didn't necessarily. . .mind it."

Dipper gave her a look. Not frowning upon her, neither scorn-filled. Just. . .curious. "I beg your pardon? Say it again, clearer too."

Pacifica groaned. "I. Didn't. Mind. It." She spoke articulating her words.

"That's what I thought you said." Dipper nodded slowly. "But, what is 'it' exactly?"

"You know perfectly well what I mean, Mr. Gleeful." Pacifica shook her head.

"I have my suspicions." Dipper mused, "but I'd prefer if you'd confirm them."

Pacifica was know completely aware of the position they were in. Both sitting, backs pressed against the wall, shoulders touching. She could feel his hot breath tickling her ear.

His whispers sent shivers up and down her spine and she could only imagine why.

Heaving a sigh, she decided to give in. "I didn't mind you trying to make me your lover by kissing me."

Dipper grinned a triumphant grin. "I thought as much."

Pacifica didn't grace him with a response.

"Might I be so bold as to attempt a second try?" Dipper asked when she went silent. But it wasn't just a question, it was layered with seduction.

Pacifica now gazed back at him. His blue eyes were hungry and staring at her like she were something to be devoured.

What do I say to that? I can't deny how much I do want him to kiss me. . . She thought.

But before she could even utter a word, Dipper had swiftly tilted her chin upward and zeroed in on her lips. His intentions entirely clear.

The feeling of her soft lips on his was something Dipper had been dreaming about since they first spoke.

The strands of her blonde hair that had fallen out of her bun and onto her face were now brushing against Dipper's face, tickling him.

There is just too much desirable chemistry between us, I can't resist. Dipper thought.

Dipper started to gently move his lips in a slow motion, trying his best to prize Pacifica's own lips apart.

However, Pacifica remained stunned, and failed to move her lips at all.

Dipper was all the way certain that this was what she wanted. She'd hardly protested. His emotions got the better of him.

He ran a hand through her hair, trying to satisfy his desires all while not trying to startle her. He ran his tongue over her lips once again trying to prize them apart.

Pacifica only shuddered in response, and Dipper used his free arm to draw the girl in, embracing her.

He drew back, regretting the action effective immediately. "Cold, Pacifica?"

Pacifica's face was flushed a deep scarlet. "No. Boiling alive, actually." She winced with embarrassment.

Dipper licked his lower lip and began tracing the girl's cheekbone with his lips, stopping once near her ear to whisper, "nothing wrong with losing a few layers, right?"

He could tell that her breath hitched. He could feel her heartbeat going wild, her pupils dilated. Slowly, she removed the shawl that covered her snow-white shoulders.

She gently tossed it away from them and gave Dipper a sideways glance.

His eyes had trained themselves on her. The sleeveless dress that was chosen for her only accented her beautiful features.

The sea foam color brought out the flecks of light green in her otherwise dark eyes. The dangly-diamond earrings seemed to glow in the darkness.

All that was missing was the necklace he had presented to her. She had tossed it over the balcony during their fight.

Dipper himself had decided to take off a layer of his; his suit jacket. Leaving him in a crisp white shirt. He lost the tie as well.

He then went back to tracing her chin with his lips, then slowly moving down to her neck, kissing it possessively.

I need every part of her, terribly. Dipper could hardly restrain himself, but he reminded that he needn't scare her.

"Nng," Pacifica winced at the sudden contact. "I dunno what you expect to gain from this, Dipper."

Her voice had raised a few pitches and her body was trembling. Dipper exhaled roughly, his warm breath hitting her exposed neck.

"I want you, Pacifica." He didn't dare beat around the bush in a moment like that. "I know everything that just transpired earlier tonight would prove me wrong but I can say that I regret my words. They were spoken too harshly and too rashly in front of an audience that expected me to say them. I cannot say that I am without blame, in truth it is all my fault. But is it too much for you to believe, my love?"

Pacifica sucked in a breath. "It truly is a lot to take in." Her voice was hoarse and trembling nearly as much as her body was.

Dipper sighed for the umpteenth time that evening. He released her from his grip, still regretfully, and let her have space for a moment.

Pacifica instinctively raised her hand to touch her neck, tracing with her fingertips the places that Dipper had kissed ever so softly. Her cheeks remained flush even in the semi-darkness, and her hair slightly messy. What would everyone think of her?

"What proof do I need to give you, Pacifica, to prove that I am in love with you?" Dipper pressed. He didn't know what else he could give her to prove that he was truly, sincerely and undoubtedly, in love with only her.

He gently grabbed her hand and placed it on his chest, above his ever-pounding heart. "Look into my eyes," he pleaded, "feel my heart beating for you and you alone."

She did stare into his eyes, her mouth remained closed as if she couldn't bare to say a single word to him.

Dipper looked down, slightly hurt. "I can understand your apprehensiveness, I wouldn't trust me either."

Pacifica raised a brow at him. "You, Mr. Gleeful, are a prime example of someone who cannot be trusted." She allowed a small smile to creep onto her lips.

"That is the most kind thing you've said to me all evening, my love."

Pacifica jolted back, and the blush returned to her features. However, the poor girl couldn't articulate a well-structured comeback.

Dipper allowed himself a wicked grin, but he continued to give Pacifica the space she clearly liked. He let go of her hand and moved slightly away from her.

"To think it took me this long to find someone like you." He finally said, hoping he hadn't gone too far. "And even longer for me to realize my true feelings for you." He sighed, his eyebrows furrowing.

He turned to face Pacifica completely. His eyes drank in her hungrily and his hands clasped around hers, forcing their eyes to meet once more.

Pacifica kept her gasp in this time, but allowed herself to shiver for a split second. This man. . .he means to devour me. . .not that I mind at all. . .

"Pacifica Southeast, I love you and only you. There is no one else in the world who will ever receive my love and affection as long as you are by my side." Dipper stated.

Dipper gently took Pacifica's chin again, and tilted it up. He firmly pushed his body against her's to reach her lips, to lean in and plant a kiss on her, once-again, trembling lips again.

"Ah—"

"Shh." Dipper's finger traced her lips in order to silence her weakened protests. It seemed to calm her, because Pacifica's eyes shut and her breathing slowed in a single exhale.

"I. . .I feel at ease, Mr. Gleeful." She stuttered. "I cannot entirely explain it, but I feel. . .calm."

Dipper leaned closer to her ear, whispering in it once more. "Please, refrain from formalities, at least for tonight, my love."

Pacifica took a deep breath but before she could even exhale properly, Dipper began nibbling on her neck possessively.

Pacifica squirmed in response, allowing a small moan to escape her parted lips. "Dipper, stop," she whispered, although she didn't really want him to stop his actions.

She let out a breathless breath. "You're making me feel like prey." She whispered, exhaling sharply as the nibbling became a full-scale teething attack.

Her skin crawled as Dipper continued to make his mark on her, all the while grinning. He suddenly stopped to reply to his love's weak protest. "But you are my prey, my love."

Pacifica gave a slight roll of her eyes. "Oh. . .I see."

"Pacifica," he surprised her once more by using her name. "I would love to start our courtship over. We can be happy together with nothing or anybody in our way. No pride shall interfere with our love. I want there to be no doubts about our feelings for each other."

Pacifica winced as his eyes glanced up to meet hers. True, she wasn't the best at giving out affection, it was the way her parents raised her. And she never expected to be loved.

"Yes." Was all that she was able to say. It didn't amount to much, but she hoped that Dipper would understand all the emotions behind that single word.

Dipper exhaled sharply and roughly pulled Pacifica into another firm embrace. She shuddered in reply, still stunned by his proclamation of love. Her skin danced with flickers of flames, pleasantly warm, not boiling.

Her vision swayed, and her heart rate was going off the charts and Dipper gently moved his hand to caress her back, slowly in circles.

It hardly seemed fair. Pacifica realized this. Dipper was giving her all this love and affection and she was returning him with nothing. How could she be so cruel?

She peeled herself from Dipper's embrace and rose from her sitting position, her knees feeling momentarily weak.

I need to prove that I am just as much in love with him as he is with me. She vowed.

Pacifica looked down at Dipper. He looked truly heartbroken by the sudden detachment. But he followed suit, pouting only slightly.

"Aw, it was really only beginning to get interesting." Dipper mocked with a smirk. "I was getting ready to make you mine."

Pacifica bit her lip. I feel mortified doing this, but if it really is the only way to show him. . .

"Any reason as to why were st—oof" his question was cut short.

Pacifica had gripped his shirt collar in her small hands and she'd pushed him against the wall they were previously leaning against.

Dipper continued to gaze at her, wondering, and his brow was furrowed in confusion. Had he offended her in some way?

This isn't working. She groaned in her head. Her face turned a bright red, even redder than before if it were possible. "D-Dipper. . .I. . .I."

It suddenly dawned on Dipper what Pacifica was doing. "Oh, you're trying to seduce me. Alright, Miss Southeast, do what you whatever you please to me. I'm waiting." His lips had curved into a mocking smirk, but his eyes remained deadly serious.

What I want to him? That's quite vague. Pacifica thought glumly. Truly she had no idea what she could possibly do to him.

"What would a lover do to her man if she could do absolutely anything?" Dipper mused aloud. "Do entertain me, Pacifica, I'm dying to see what you come up with."

The challenge from Dipper seemed to motivate Pacifica further than anything else. He had made her feel like prey prior, what say she returned the favor?

She didn't let go of his collar as she leaned in close to his face, exhaling onto him. Not saying a word, she moved past his lips and began to spread a series of kisses along his neck.

She felt when his breath hitched and every time he exhaled sharply. It meant what she was doing was working.

"P. . .Pacifica." He murmured, not taking his eyes off her for a second.

Going slightly further, she gave him a quick nip at the base of his neck, eliciting a light but sharp noise from the man.

Their eyes met in the semi-darkness once again. Dipper's eyes were full of love and desire for her. Pacifica's eyes were filled with love, affection and as much desire as he had for her.

They were both so enamored and infatuated with each other that they didn't notice the door being unlocked.

Dipper had pressed his lips to Pacifica's bending her back slightly as she clutched onto his collar.

"DIPPER GLEEFUL!"

Dipper and Pacifica broke apart and turned toward the open door. In the new candlelight that streamed in, they could make out two figures.

One was certainly a woman and the other was a shorter man.

"This isn't what it looks like." Dipper promised, leaping forward to protect his love's honor.

Dipper's twin sister glared at the two of them, while Pacifica's cousin watched them with wide eyes.

"It's best that you know," Mabel stalked toward them, "Gideon and I handled the ghost. He won't be bothering us ever more."

Both Dipper and Pacifica nodded. "That is all well and good." He replied.

"What did you two get up to in this room?" Gideon asked raising a brow at the two that were still embraced in each other's arms.

"Absolutely nothing!" Both Pacifica and Dipper exclaimed, blushing.

"I see." Mabel murmured. "Well, I'm sure you two enjoyed yourselves in here, but there is still a party out there."

Gideon and Mabel walked out of the room with both Dipper and Pacifica following slowly behind, only slightly mortified.

Regardless, they were still holding each other's hand.
