Chapter 35
*LOUIS'S POV*
"Hey. Where have you been?" I asked Chloe, as she walked in.
"I was with Perrie." She told me, setting her stuff on the table.
"Is everything okay?" I replied, watching as she poured herself a glass of juice.
It was so hard to watch all the little things she does. The little things are the reasons I'm falling, slowly and painfully falling, in love with her.
"Well...yeah. But there's going to be a meeting with Simon and all of you guys tonight so you should probably get ready." Chloe smiled, looking at my choice of clothes.
Her smile was another reason why she was absolutely perfect to me, but it reminded me that I only have a numbered amount of days with her. I know I'm going to have to cherish every second I have left with her. Eventually, she's going to get tired of all the stuff I do and leave. She's not going to stick around forever.
"Okay." I laughed, walking towards the stairs.
"Louis?" She called.
"Yeah?"
"Thank you. For letting my stay here, and not asking every detail of what happened." Chloe said, and I could tell she was nervously twirling her hair around one finger, waiting for my response.
"I'll always be here." I replied, going upstairs to change.
~~~
"What?!" Simon demanded, throwing the papers across the table.
"I'm sorry. I know it's short notice but I need this." Chloe insisted.
I think we were all a little shocked that Chloe was going to be touring with Little Mix instead of us but Simon was furious.
"Chloe, I took a chance on you. A chance that, I'll admit, payed off, but I can't sit here while you change your mind again and again." He growled, rubbing his hands over his face.
"Look, I really need a break from all of this drama and quite frankly, I need a change of scenery."
"I thought bringing Emblem3 in was a change of scenery." Niall mumbled, causing Chloe to send a glare his way.
"Niall's absolutely right, but I'm the only girl and it's only fair for me to have some time to think." Chloe told us.
Even though I would miss her like crazy, I supported her choice. She's been through nothing but hell the last month and if touring with Little Mix will give her the break she needs then she needs to do it.
"Chloe, if you walk out of this door now, you will never tour with One Direction again." Simon warned, causing everyone in the room to look at Chloe with wide eyes.
I couldn't believe the choice Simon was making right now. Chloe was phenomenal and she was exactly what One Direction needed to help change their image into a more mature one. Despite what she thought, the fans love her and they'll be crushed when they find out she's leaving.
"Fine." Chloe replied, standing up and walking out of the conference room.
*CHLOE'S POV*
"Chloe wait!" Niall called, running after me.
"What Niall?" I asked.
I know it was rude to talk to him like that but I was so frustrated with Simon. Touring with One Direction had helped to get my name out there and here he was ruining that for me.
"Please stay." He begged, grabbing my arm.
"I can't Niall. I need this!" I replied, ripping out of his grip and going back towards me car.
"When are you leaving?" He asked, still keeping a close distance behind me.
"Two days." I told him, getting in my car.
"At least give me a hug goodbye." He mumbled, opening my door so I could get out.
"As you wish." I laughed, wrapping my arms around his neck and resting my head on his shoulder.
"Have fun okay?" Niall asked.
"Of course." I answered, releasing his neck and getting in the car again. This time for good.
~~~
"I don't want to see you go but I understand why you need to." Louis said, passing me the last of my bags.
I put them on the bus beside my bunk and looked at Louis: dressed casually in a plaid shirt and black jeans he looked amazing. I wish he would've treated me a little better so we could still be together.
"I have to do this but Perrie will be meeting with Zayn a few times so maybe you and Niall could tag along." I replied.
Louis shrugged and I could tell he was uncomfortable with the mention of Niall. I don't think it's a surprise to anyone that Niall still liked me but it still made Louis jittery.
"You almost ready, Chlo? I want to introduce you to the rest of the girls." Perrie smiled, sticking her head out of the door.
"Yeah just saying my last goodbye." I said, as Perrie nodded and went back inside the bus.
"I don't want to say goodbye." Louis whispered, giving me a hug.
"I really hate to say goodbye like this." I told him, snuggling into his shirt.
"Then let's not say goodbye like this." He replied, pulling away and holding my face in his hands.
"What do you mean?" I asked, searching his blue eyes for an answer.
Louis didn't say anything as he bent down and pressed his lips to mine. He had never kissed me like this; with so much sincerity and lust. I didn't want to let go so I placed my hands on his face.
They say that with every step into your future, you leave a step behind in you past. I'm not sure if I actually believe this or not because while stepping on the tour bus, every memory I've had with Louis rushed back to me. It felt like I was going in...reverse.
Everything, the good, the bad, it all came back. It was too much and I couldn't believe that for the first time it felt like I was really leaving him.
I was letting go and I had nothing but my memories of us together. I guess this is what it feel like to be going in Reverse.
~~~
I'm not sure if this is how the first book should end but I'm feeling it.
So the second book will be out soon :)
