Chapter 5

*LOUIS'S POV*

 I kissed her.

 I kissed her for the first time in months and it made me realize how much I crave the feeling of being with her. How much I need it. How much I need her.

 I was sitting on the small couch on our bus, headed towards Houston, when my phone let out a quiet ring. I checked the name on the screen and saw it was Morgann. I pressed the answer button and waited for her to say something.

 "I know what happened."

 "I know. I thought Chloe might tell you." I sighed.

 "It wasn't Chloe who told me...it was Kenny." She replied.

 "So what do you want to do?" I asked, resuming my sitting position.

 "Louis, I can't keep pretending to date you just so you can make Chloe jealous. I was mad at her when you made that plan, but I want her to forgive me and she won't unless I really tell her what's going on." She told me.

 "Wanting to make her jealous and trying to get closer to her isn't a crime." I protested.

 "That doesn't mean she's going to take it well. She already hates me enough, but to move past everything I have to clear my conscious."

 "What's the big deal anyway? We can just keep pretending until we 'break up'." I said, knowing that that wouldn't work for either of us.

 "Because I like somebody else, and it isn't fair to him for me to hide the truth and push him away." Morgann answered, letting out a long sigh.

 "Who is it?" I asked quietly, trying to keep my voice down.

 "It's Kenny, and I think he might like me too, so, as of now, we are done. I can tell Chloe what happened with or without you present. Your choice." She said, before hanging up.

 I tossed my phone down on the cushion beside me and rubbed my hands over my face. I've been so stressed out the past couple of weeks, and Morgann is right. Clearing my conscious would help a great deal, but if Chloe knew that I was only doing everything to get in her head she would probably freak out.

 "Hey. Chloe just texted me and said she would be at the Houston show. She's bringing a few guys she wants us to meet." Niall told me, falling onto the couch beside me.

 "It better not be like Emblem3. I was so thankful after they broke the contract. I seriously could not stand that obnoxious one...Walker?" I asked, trying to make Niall think I forgot Wesley's name.

 "Oh come on. I know you're talking about Wes and I know you remember him." Niall laughed, changing the channel.

 I stood up and stretched my hands above my head, grabbing my phone and redialing Morgann's number to let her know that I would explain everything to Chloe. If I was going to do this, I was going to do it on my own.

 *CHLOE'S POV*

 "No way!" I giggled, covering my mouth with my hands.

 "I swear." Luke said, crossing his heart for extra effect.

 "Well I wish I had been there to see it." I sighed, dabbing the corners of my eyes with a napkin.

 Luke Hemmings and I had been friends for a few months now, after we met at one of Little Mix's concerts. I knew Michael, Calum and Ashton too, but they couldn't make it until tomorrow at One Direction's show. Luke would be bringing his girlfriend along too and I was super excited to meet her.

 "So, what's your girlfriend's name again?" I asked, taking a small sip of Coke and throwing my hair back behind my shoulders.

 "Her name is Kalie and she's just so amazing. She's been here for me through everything and I'm glad I finally got up the courage to ask her out." He replied.

 Whenever Luke mentioned his girlfriend, his eyes lit up and he smiled like crazy. Seeing him react like that made me wonder if Louis ever looked like that when somebody talked about me.

 "Did she play hard to get or were you just nervous?" I asked, trying desperately to focus on our conversation.

 "No. We were really good friends and I didn't want to run the risk of ruining our friendship. We took it slow, and I'm glad we've been dating for almost a year now. She's my girlfriend and my best friend." Luke answered, taking out his phone and typing something.

 Luke and Kalie sound like Louis and me, accept for the fact that Luke never did anything to ruin their relationship. I need to stop myself from traveling to the dark place of my mind that holds all of my thoughts about Louis. It's like everywhere I look, something holds symbolism to our relationship and I can't do it anymore. I can't keep going in circles.

 "I have to go, but I'll see you tomorrow." Luke said, leaning over to give me a hug.

 I really needed to get out of this small pizza parlour and go back to the bus. If distracting myself is what it takes, then it's what I have to do.

~~~
 "Come on, Chlo. It's time to get up." Jade said, pulling off my blanket and opening my blinds.
 I groaned and tried to go back to sleep but I knew it would be no use. Once I was up, I was up. I lazily climbed down the ladder and landed with a light thud on the ground. I rubbed my eyes and journeyed into the kitchen, where the smell of delicious food was leaking.
 "Perrie, what the hell is that?" I asked, my eyes now wide as I watched her mess with something in a pan.
 "Just an omelet. I can make you one if you want." She laughed, her hair and make-up already perfectly done.
 "Yes please." I smiled, walking off to get ready.
 I slipped on a pair of black, high-waisted shorts and a white tank top and tried to wedge my way into the bathroom. One good thing about living with the guys was that I was the only one who needed the bathroom in the morning, but now that I live with four other girls it's hell.
 I grabbed my things and retreated back to my bed where I had a small mirror stashed. The lighting from the window was better anyway.
 After about fifteen minutes, I had finished with my makeup and pulled my hair up. I put on my white converse and skipped into the kitchen, grabbing my plate with the omelet.
 "Somebody's happy." Leigh-Anne remarked, a small smile playing on her lips.
 "Just excited to see the guys." I shrugged, forking the egg into my mouth.
 "Are you and Louis back together?" Perrie asked, sitting down beside me.
 "No, not really." I mumbled, my mouth full.
 "What do you mean 'not really'?" She replied.
 "Well, he's still dating Morgann, but he kissed me the other day, so I don't know what to think." I sighed, easily feeding myself more food.
 "I thought they broke up? I saw Morgann kissing Kenny just yesterday." Leigh-Anne said.
 "Well then, we all must have a lot to discuss." I answered, finishing my food and placing my plate in the sink.
~~~

 "Can we talk?" I asked Louis, pulling on his sleeve.

 "Yeah, I was just about to come and find you." He replied, following me over into a different room.

 "Do you know where Morgann is?" I asked, looking around the back for any sight of her.

 "I don't think she's here." Louis said, closing the door behind us.

 "Well, I heard some things about her I thought you should know." I mumbled, playing with the ends of my hair.

 Louis didn't say anything, just took a deep breath and sat down on the small couch. A part of me wondered if he already knew and another part wondered if he had something even more important to tell me. I wasn't even sure if I wanted to hear what he had to say. Even though we kissed the other day, I'm still so confused with his previous actions towards me.

 "What did you hear?" He finally asked, staring at me with guarded eyes.

 "I don't know how to put it." I admitted, watching him shift on the couch.

 "Whatever it is, just tell me, and I swear I won't be mad." Louis replied.

 "I heard she kissed Kenny the other day." I sighed.

 "Is that all?" He answered, his eyes lighting up.

 "Louis, your girlfriend, she cheated on you."

 "I thought it might be something else." He said.

 "Like what?" I asked, sitting next to him.

 "Something I want you to hear from me." Louis told me.

 My mind started racing at all the possible things he could say. What if he wanted to drop out of the band? What if he didn't want to talk to me at all anymore? Did I do anything wrong?

 "You didn't do anything wrong." Louis said, answering my thoughts.

 "Then who did?" I asked, looking at him.

 "Me. I did something wrong."

 Another wave of worry washed over me as I watched his expression change. I don't know how much more of these little secrets and messed up stories I can take.

 "What did you do?" I whispered, covering my face with my hands.

 "Well, after we broke up, I was angry. I was so mad that I would do anything to get back at you for leaving. I told Morgann how I was feeling and she felt the same way, so we devised a plan to get back at you. It started out as a way to hurt you, but then we both wanted you back in our lives. I'm sorry if I hurt you in the process, but now we can be together without anything getting in the way." He told me, prying my hands away from my face.

 "No, Louis I can't." I protested, standing up and breaking free of his grip.

 "What do you mean?" He asked, and I could see the tears in his eyes.

 "I mean, if we are meant to be again, then we'll find our back to each other, but that's not what is planned for us now. I have to go." I mumbled, turning around and walking away.

~~~
 So yeah, since I haven't updated in FOREVER I made the chapter almost twice as long.
 You're welcome *wink wink*
