sunshine
| 65 |
I sit against the brick wall,
Rain falling like buckets from heaven
I look at the people passing by
All of them bored, down, never filled with hope.
None of them have their umbrellas
It's like the rain owns them.
Like they've been hit by thunder,
And are just playing alive.
My mom always told me I was different,
A sweet little angel filled with sunshine
If only the town was like that description
There are never any smiles, never any light.
It's raining, pouring every day
Oh, where are you sun?
I look around again, searching,
But all I see of it is bits and crumbs.
Oh, where are you sun?
It talks to me for help.
Oh, where are you sun?
I scream, I shout, and I yell.
Looking for the sun, I fly;
Everyone stares, but now the
rain says goodbye.
