Within 24 to 48 hours....

Avneet looked at him with confusion,
if what you call that emotion. She felt
betrayed that Siddharth was siding his father....

Avneet:stay away Sid.....he is a murderer......she said calmly, trying hard not to lash on the innocent boy. But Sid wasn't ready to get that. He shook his head and stay rooted on the floor on his knees.

Sid: N..no....please....H...he is my father..... Please.....

Avneet frowned the way he was pleading.

Avneet: He is a killer....not even a human....she said with gritted teeth
and sid let out a sob and was
stumbling over the words. He knows
the situation was very sensitive for
her but he can't help about his own
emotions.

Sid: He is my only family....p...please.... he again pleaded and Amir was just
staring at the boy who was covering
his figure on his knees. Pleading for his life.

Avneet: Sid...get away please...i can't let him go this easily. I waited for years....I CAN'T FORGET THE DEAD BODIES OF MY PARENTS ALL IN BLOOD....she finally lashed out on him out of anger. The feeling of letting go of her only target and reason for this whole mafia thingy, was taking a toll on her brain....

Siddharth flinched on the yelling
of her but inhaled sharply before
starting.

Sid: I..i know....But don't kill him like that-....

Avneet: WHY...Do you have any idea.... That day still haunts me, i couldn't have a proper sleep in all these years. I always see my parents screaming in pain and i felt so useless.Those bloody bodies of my loved ones haunts me...she cut him and said the words as her voice weavered a bit. But she composed herself again, taking the hold of gun tightly, pointing at Amir's head once more....

Siddharth eyes widened and he got
up with his shaky legs and grabbed her  hands and put the gun over
his own forehead, getting her by
surprise.

Avneet: Sid.... what are you doing...LET GO....

Sid: NO... NO....i..i promised that i will do anything to give you justice for your parents. So....Here-..he said as he
pressed the gun over his head more.

Sid: Take your revenge.....his eyes were already red due to all crying and
definitely due to high fever. Avneet
tried to move away her hand from his
forehead but sid hold her more
tightly.

Sid: You u..used me before...use me again to have your peace.....he said with his shaky voice, eyes never leaving the black ones, staring deeply at each other.

Avneet exhaled loudly at the word
'used'.... She was feeling that Sid
definitely hate her now that's why he
was acting this way.

She finally yanked her hand away from  sid's forehead as his grip
loosened due to emotions.

Avneet: It was a mistake and i..i regret it Arth....You know that i will never hurt you again....she breathed out and Sid chuckled bitterly and hung his head low as his tears were now falling on the floor.

Sid: Y...you always hurt me N..neet....

Avneet's breath hitched on those
words. She frowned and stepped closer to him who seemed in daze.

Avneet: Sid....

Sid: you left me alone back then when i needed you.....he said when she silently saw those eyes that were spacing out.

Sid: You hurt my soul... m..my self respect.....

Mafia queen bit her lip when sid recalled his nightmare when Maya almost made him dirty due to her stupid anger.

Avneet: S..sid.....

Sid: You make me a fool using those
childhood memories.....he again
chuckled sadly and Avneet quickly
shook her head as she tried to touch
him but he stepped back.

Looking up at those eyes that were now filled with so many emotions.

Avneet: I never did that...whatever i said is true.. it's true....the way she was trying to prove her words, all the men in the basement were aware now that the boy wasn't an ordinary person in the place.

Amir  was quiet, abnormally
quite as he was trying to figure out
everything infront of him.

Sid: But you are trying to hurt me again Avneet....You were so brave..., you are still brave to bear that all pain by yourself, but i..i am not brave like you...a sob erupted and he choked on
his words.

Sid:Do you think i would be able to f..forget it....he added as she was
just staring at him silently, her hands
stopped midway on the next words of
him....

Sid: I..i will live with the same nightmare you were living with. You lost your parents same day and i am truly s..sorry for that....i...i am also being selfish... b..but you were able to have 10 years of your life with them, full of Love....but I lost my mother before opening my eyes in this world.. and i never get the love of my f-father..... another choked sob stopped him.

Sid: i..i know..It's n..not making any sense but don't do it....he again dropped on his knees and joined his trembling hands.

Sid: P...please....don't take l..law in your hands. I know he deserves punishment for his sin but not that way. please...please.. don't kill him... Don't kill him...You can kill me in his place...but not him. please....the words were piercing like sharp knives in Avneet's heart and the sight was giving her pangs.

Amir teared up the way his son
was begging for his life and was even
willing to give up his own life for his
safety.

Sid's  whole figure was shaking
with loud sobs as the jacket on his
shoulder was long forgotten on
the floor as it slipped away from
his shoulders when he rushed to
her side.

The sudden chills started to hit his
body and he trembled more.

Amir: Sid.. beta....he started in soft
voice, the voice Sid craved for
years.

Sid slightly turned to face him
and the sight of bruised face of his
father hurt him more and he sobbed
more, hands gripping the fabric of Avneets jeans....

Avneet: sid...don't say it...I..i can't hurt you...she finally breathed out after a moment of silence as she crouched
down to grab him by his shoulders
and helped him to stand up but
his head started spinning more
and his ears started ringing.

He could feel that some voice came
from his back, from his father maybe.
He could only see the surprised
and sort of satisfied expressions of
Avneet.... His figure sway slightly as
the weak body wasn't in the condition
to hold on anymore.

Avneet's attention quickly averted to
him and she hold him more protectively...Sid saw her lips moving but he couldn't hear anything except for the ringing in his ears.

Avneet's  eyes widened when she saw
a thin stream of blood running down
Sid's nose.

Avneet: Sid....she scooped him closer as the words of doctor hit her brain.

Avneet: Damn...Sid...sid...her heart
dropped when Sid's fight to keep
his eyes open failed and his eyes shut
closed as his body slumped down in
her arms.

Amir's eyes also widened on that
and he struggled in the strong grip of
ropes.

Amir: SIDDHARTH.....

Avneet wasted no time and quickly ordered her men to picked him up and rushed out of the basement.

Avneet: CALL THE DOCTOR. NOW....she ordered his men and lead sid to her room and they laid him down on the bed and she quickly grabbed some tissue from the side drawer

Avneet: sid... Please open your eyes....she tried again but no use. She wiped away the blood that was reaching his lips now but her breath hitched when new stream of blood rolled down. She was definitely panicking on the situation.

Avneet: No no no.....sid....she felt he was again burning up with high fever
and was breathing heavily. She cursed
herself for not realizing before that
he was still burning, well she was too
much caught up with her revenge.
Hiding his shaking figure under
blankets, she grabbed the rag and cold
water.

Avneet:I am sorry.....i am sorry sid... i am sorry...she ranted while wiping
his hands and forehead with cold water. The nose bleed wasn't stopping and this was making her more worried.

Finally doctor arrived and frowned on the little pile of blood soaked tissues on the bin placed near bed.

Avneet gave him a worried look and
pointed towards sid.

Avneet: H..he...I don't know...Bleeding is not stopping....his fever...he is burning....h.he...she stammered badly, out of words.

Doc: Calm down Ms. Kaur... Let me check him please...he quickly rushed to sid and Avneet was clutching her own hairs harshly.

She was warned about Sid's conition but she couldn't even control herself for a single day. She was cursing
herself for her actions.

Doc: I think it's better to take him to the hospital. He needs some tests....he
explained and Avneet nodded
and grabbed her phone and ordered her men to shift sid to the car not before covering him with a long coat.

On the way to the hospital, her heart
was thumping loudly in her chest. She
wasn't ready to hear something bad.
When they reached the hospital,
doctors quickly took sid to a
room and stopped her at the door.

Faisu and vaishnavi got the news of
whole thing happened in the basement. And they quickly rushed to the hospital and found Avneet sitting on the floor...crying silently.....

Fai: Avu....he shook her by shoulder and she looked up with her broken eyes.

Avneet: H..he....she choked as Faisu
hugged her rubbing over her back.

Vaishu: He will be fine... don't worry....she sighed at the broken girl...

Avneet: I hurt him again....she said, voice muffled as she was nuzzling in Faisu's chest like a child. Faisu sighed and continue rubbing her back.

Avneet: He would hate me n..now. He hate me....

Fai: Don't say like that. Ok....he said a
bit frustrated. He assured Jan safety
of sid here and now the he was fucking admitted in a hospital.

Fai: He will be fine.....he again mumbled to himself.

Doctor informed them that Sids
body was suffering from reaction of
drug and stress added to it and caused
it all. They suggested to keep him
in hospital for few days, till his fever
subsides.

The night was like 100 years long. Sid didn't open his eyes in whole night as Avneet was patiently waiting for him to wake up.

It was already morning when sid frowned in his sleep and jolted wake up on the bed. His breathing was heavy and eyes unfocused.

Avneet quickly grabbed his both
hands but he yanked those away and mumbled some words under his breath.

Sid: I told her to stop..she killed him. She killed him.....

Avneet's  eyes twitched on the words and she tried again to calm him....

Avneet: Arth....

Sid: NO.....he screamed and covered
his ears. Avneets heart was hurting
so badly as she teared up again with her already puffy eyes.

Sid: You killed my f...father....a broken
voice came out of his lips as he looked up at her and with his shaky hands he grabbed her collar.

Sid: i...i told you....But you still killed him...You killed my only family Neet.... the pain in those words were doubled for Avneet...

She sadly smiled and took sid in her embrace by surprise,...he struggled a bit but gave up soon due to his weak attempts.

Avneet: I didn't....i couldn't sweetheart... He is alive.....

Avneet softly said and sid quickly backed away and looked directly in eyes of her who smiled again, wiping his tears with her thumb.

Sid: But i saw you-...

Avneet:It was a nightmare....forget it dear....I didn't take law in my hands but he gave in to the law.....

Siddharth squinted his eyes in confusion and sniffed slightly. Avneet  kissed his forehead so gently as her few tears fell on his hairs.

Avneet:He gave in to the police by his own will. But he is willing to see you once...before going to the jail.....

Avneet explained as she recalled the words of Amir that Sidfharth missed before fainting. The words that caused a rush of relief in Avneets soul..

Amir: Hand me over to the police... i will admit all of my sins.....
