"Mom met with an accident Bhai! Her condition is critical!" completed Mukti and started sobbing...

"What?" said Manik being shocked...

"Bhai.. Mom.. meeting.. car" Mukti tried to explain Manik but she was so much stressed that she didn't have an idea that her words were not forming a meaningful sentence...

 Manik could understood her sister's turmoil. "Don't worry Mukti!! I... I am just coming till the time please take care of yourself and mom" said Manik controlling his emotions and pretended to be strong... Nandani was looking face of Manik not knowing what he is saying about mom but by his face she could assume something bad had happened.

As soon as Manik cut the call, he at once called and booked the next flight. He got up from the bed and run his head in his hairs desperately... Nandani was looked towards him wanting to know what basically had happened.. But she was scared to ask may be Manik would scold her or would be furious on her.. She quietly getup from the bed and started packing their bags knowing they are going back.

Manik turned towards Nandani and saw her packing their stuffs.. "Voo mom met with an accident" said Manik not looking at her eyes.. Hearing this Nandani looked towards Manik, she could see that for the first time it seems he is scared. But before she could say anything Manik marched towards washroom.

Seeing this Nandani started fidgeting her fingers. "Aiyappa that's wrong aap hmesha achee logo ko apne pass nhi bula skte. Aapse jyada we all need her in our life, please maa ko thik kr dena jldi se. Unhe kuch bhi nhi hona chahiye.." prayed Nandani...

As soon as Manik came out from the washroom he said "we have a flight, get ready soon!". To which Nandani nodded her head.

After she got ready, within half an hour they had reached airport. Nandani was noticing that after Manik had receive call from Mukti he had not properly talked with Nandani.

"Aiyappa!!! Manik don't think me as a friend, he is not at all expressing his fears or sharing anything which he wants to, I can see that his eyes had fear in them. But he don't think me that much worthy that at least he can share anything with me without any second thought. May be he would be back in his mode once again after we reached their. Don't know why I am having a feeling that our relationship would be back on track like it was before this trip. But at least in this trip I have witnessed a different version of him, this trip would always hold a special place in my life!" thought Nandani while sitting in the flight.

Within few hours, Manik and Nandani reached the hospital where Nyonika was admitted. As soon as Mukti saw Manik she run towards him and hug him tightly..

"Bhai achaa hua aap aa gye. Mom's condition is very critical, doctor is saying that they can't say anything right now. Bhai she would be fine na, bolo na Bhai, Mom thik ho jayengi na" said Mukti sobbing while hugging Manik. Manik was consoling Mukti by rubbing his hands on her back...

Manik broke the hug and wiped out tears from her eyes. "Kuch nhi hoga mom ko! Mai hu na, mai kuch bhi nhi hone dunga mom ko. She would be alright bacha. Don't cry mera bacha bhot strong h, hai na? Bhai pr trust hai na?" asked Manik keeping his palm on her left cheek. Hearing this Mukti nodded as yes while tears were falling from his eyes.

"Toh trust me Mom would be fit and fine" said Manik.. As soon as Mukti eyes drop on Nandani she came out from Manik's grip and hugged Nandani tightly.

"Mukti don't cry!! Mom ko kuch nhi hoga Manik hai na, voo sab thik kr denge" said Nandani while running her hands on her hairs..

"Bhabhi agr mom ko" was saying Mukti but Nandani cut her and said "Sshh kuch nhi hoga Maa ko. Don't let any negative thought come in your mind! Come sit!!" said Nandani and bring her near the bench and made her sit on it.

"Manik water bottle?" said Nandni looking towards Manik's direction. Manik gave her bottle while Nandani made Mukti drink water. After drinking water she kept her head on Nandani's shoulder hugging her while Nandani was running her hands on her hairs. Manik was quietly seeing them.

Then only a nurse came out from the operation theatre. Seeing her Manik got alerted while Mukti and Nandani too looked in that direction.

"Mom, Is she fine now?" asked Manik in shaking voice..

"Abhi she is being operated by the doctor, we can't say anything right now. She is not at all responding and had already lost too much blood, right now her condition is very critical.. .  All you could do is pray for her" said Nurse with sympathy and left from there.

Hearing this Manik was freezed while Mukti started crying on Nandani's shoulder. "Sshhh Mukti dekhna maa would be fine! Doctors toh kuch bhi kehte h don't worry maa ko kuch nhi hoga." said Nandani while consoling Mukti..

Nandani looked towards Manik direction who was not at all blinking. Neither he was crying nor was he responding anything. She knew that he is scared for his mother but he is not at all expressing that, he is just showing that he is strong. As of Mukti she is at least reacting, she is expressing her griefs but what about Manik. She was scared for him how to help him in this. Would she be able to make him express? But why would he express in front of her, their relationship is not at all that strong.

After few minutes Manik came and sit beside Nandani on the bench. Seeing him lost Nandani didn't have an idea what she should do. She hesitatingly keep her right hand on his hand which was placed on the bench. She was looking towards Manik for a reaction but Manik didn't looked towards her nor he removed her hands which were on his hands.

Nandani wanted to say that don't worry Manik maa would be fine. She wanted to say that you are not alone, I am their standing with you whether whatever the situations would be. But words didn't came out from her mouth. She wanted to give him the strength which she did indirectly by placing her hands on his hand.

But isn't this the beauty of a relationship? When our action speaks more than words. Nandani haven't consoled Manik or said anything to him but may be her this mere action would touch him. Would it be so?

After few minutes Nandani was going to remove her hands but Manik at once hold her hands in his grip. She was not at all expecting this and get mere astonished. He intertwine his fingers with her's and hold her hands in his tight grip without looking towards Nandani.

After an hour doctor finally came out from the operation theatre. Manik was the first one to run in his direction. "Doctor, Mom is she" was saying Manik in shaking tone.

Keeping his hand on his shoulder doctor apologized "I am sorry!! We have operated her but she is not responding due to which we can't say anything right now. We have kept her in observation these 24 hours would be crucial for her. If she wake up in this duration then its good otherwise either she would fall in coma or I don't know but may be we could lost her too."

Hearing this that they would lost her Manik holds the collar of doctor tightly in his grip  making him chock. "How could you say like this? Mom h voo meri kuch nhi hoga unhe, do you get that? She would be fine. What type of doctor you are when you can't save a patient?" shouted Manik..

Nandani and Mukti at once came towards Manik. Nandani hold his hand and said "Manik please leave him!! he is trying his best!"

Nandani jerked his hands from doctor's collar and said "Sorry doctor!!" Doctor nodded his head and said "I had done whatever I can do, not everything is in doctor's hands. You should pray that she gets fine soon". Saying this doctor left from there.

Nandani turned to look at Manik who was glaring her with bloodshot eyes. Seeing him this much angry she was not at all having courage to say anything. But then also she tried "Manik".

But before she could say anything more Manik stormed out from their. Nandani looked on ground dejectedly. Mukti kept her hands on Nandani's shoulder and said "Bhabhi bhai needs you, he is not at all angry on you. He is angry because he is not able to control things like he always use to. Aap sad mat ho because of him".

Nandani nodded her head but didn't said anything. Holding her hands Mukti said "Bhabhi bhai always show that he is strong but he is not. Right now at this moment he would be more vulnerable then me but he is just not expressing. He needs you at this moment aap bhai k pass jao aur unhe smbhalo".

Nandani said "But Mukti you".

"I am fine now Bhabhi and I know Mom ko kuch nhi hoga, hai na?" said Mukti wiping out her tears. Nandani smiled with tears in her eyes. She nodded her head and embraced Mukti in a tight hug.

After that Nandani went in search of Manik, she saw him standing in the corridors which seems to be secluded area..  She was facing his back. Nandani was little bit scared from him, she don't want Manik to be angry on her again but leaving him like this isn't a good option either, right?

After mentally preparing herself she said in a mere audible tone "Manik". Hearing her voice his body stiffened but he didn't turned back to look towards her. Nandani got more nervous with this. Fiddling her fingers she said "I know aap mujhse gussa h, hain na? But Manik doctor had done whatever is in his hands. Aap tension mat lo dekhna mom would be fit and fine. She would"

Before she could say whatever she wants to say Manik turned and hugged her tightly. Nandani hadn't expected this hug from all of the things.

She had thought he would glare her, scold her may be shout too on her but hug her, a big NO. But when she feels her shoulders to be wet she at once keep her hands on his back and said "Sshh Manik"...

Manik didn't said anything he only dived her face in his neck. "Manik" Nandani said and tried to break the hug but Manik didn't leave her.

"Nandu I had already lost my dad, I can't lose Mom now. I would be alone again agr mom ko kuch bhi ho gya toh" said Manik in shaking voice.

"Mom ko kuch nhi hoga Manik, agr aap hi itne weak ho jayenge toh what would Mukti go through? Who would console her?" said Nandani.. Hearing this now Manik broke the hug and asked "Mukti is she okay?"

"Hmm she is okay but uh sit here" saying this Nandani make him sit on the bench. She herself sit on the floor and wipe out his tears. Holding his hands she said "Manik you are not alone we are with you na.. Mukti and me we both are with you in this difficult situation. Bad days came in our life sometime to take our test. But we would fight with it na together and eventually good days would also come. Aap dekhna sab kuch thik ho jayega. I am there with you forever!!!"

"You would be there with me?" said Manik looking at her like its a question..

"Yes Manik I would be there hmesha standing beside you." said Nandani giving him a smile.. These mere words from Nandani gave him a strength that someone would be beside him in his odd days who would give him strength to fight. "Chaliye Mukti would be waiting for us" said Nandani sweetly.. Manik nodded his head and holding her hands he went to see Mukti.

Sometimes days like these brings us realize who cares for us. In our happy days we have whole world to celebrate it with us but in our odd days we only have our family standing besides us. Was this a new start of Manik and Nandani's relationship or something unexpected is going to happen?
