3rd Person POV

"This place is collapsing we have to go now!" Ara exclaimed as she blasted a chunk of ceiling that was about to crash down on them away.

"Move it people let's go!" Sadie yelled as she hurried everyone to run out of the castle. All around them, pieces of the castle were either disappearing in a flurry of red sparks or they were cracking and falling out of place.

"Watch out!" Addie used her telekinesis to pull everyone back as a huge chunk of the ceiling crashed down to block their path to the front gate.

"We're trapped!" Beggip struggled to use her scythe to move the pile even as Addie helped.

"I think I still have enough energy to open a portal, but I have to keep it open so you all go first." Addie clapped her hands together before chanting aloud and pushing her hands forward to open up a frameless portal on the floor.

"Everyone go through now, I'll hold it open!"

"Geronimo!" Beggip yelled as she jumped through with Ara.

"I hope don't land on my sword!" Sadie shouted as she, Aspen, Lily, and Lily Rose jumped through.

"See ya in a minute." Dreamer saluted them before falling back into the portal.

Ivy rubbed against Addie's leg giving her a small whine before she hopped into the portal with a doggy yelp.

Just as Stone was about to go through, he turned to see that Addie had dropped her hands and was backing away, but the portal wasn't closing.

"I thought you said you needed to-" He stopped himself when he realized that she had lied to them.

"Stone, you have to leave now." Addie told him gently as she crossed her arms.

"No, I'm not leaving without you, we went through this whole thing so we could save you, not lose you." Stone stepped away from the portal toward Addie as he said that.

"Stone, you don't understand, I can't go back."

"Yes you can, you said once we defeated Madegno you would finally be free."

"No, what I mean is, I shouldn't go back."

"What?" Stone was about to be hit from above with a stalagmite when Addie shot out her hand and a burst of purple energy shattered it apart, making them both look at her hands in surprise.

"You see? As long as some part of Torvo is still alive, the world is always going to be threatened by him..." Addie lowered her hands and head sadly.

"That doesn't mean it has to be threatened by you, you've proven that no matter what you will be able to fight through his control."

"No, I was able to fight through a puppet, but who's to say the puppet master won't return one day?"

"I thought you said when you were freed from the island it forced his spirit out of this world."

"And how exactly was Herobrine able to attack a couple of years ago?" This left Stone at a loss for words when he realized she had a point, "Villains always have a backup plan, Torvo more than most, I can't risk it, I'm the last of his bloodline and therefore the last of his descendants with this power, if I stay, then he'll be gone for good."

"Look, I'm not wasting any more time arguing about this, this place is coming down." Stone gestured around them and Addie approached him and pulled him into a hug, both of them standing there ignoring everything going on around them before she whispered,

"Agreed..." And pushed him into the portal while staying in place.

In the split second before he fell through, he saw Addie's face streaked with tears before she closed her eyes.

I'm sorry... He heard in his head before he completely fell through the portal in a swirl of colors.

In the Order Hall

"Oof!" Stone landed upright on his feet strangely, as if he had been flipped around 180, "Well that was lucky."

He tapped the ground with his foot to make sure he was actually upright.

"Can't say the same for the rest of them." Dreamer spoke from behind him pointing to the rest of the group where they all still lay on their backsides, groaning in pain.

"How did you two land on your feet? Y'know I don't even want to know, all I know is portals are the worst!" Lily slightly yelled as she got to her feet and brushed herself off.

"Ditto, if we ever go on another adventure, I'm sticking with walking, mine carts, or horses." Lily Rose agreed as she cracked her back.

"Hey, where's Addie?" Beggip asked as she helped Ara on her feet, "and where are we?"

Hearing only the first question Beggip asked, Stone fell to his knees before punching the floor with his fist and responding in a strained voice,

"She's gone..."

"What do you mean she's gone?" Ara questioned worryingly.

"She said she couldn't let any trace of Torvo remain so she stayed behind in that collapsing dimension and now she's-"

"Wait, who's gone?" The group turned to see that Jesse and J were walking toward them, looking like they just woke up from a long sleep as the rest of the New Order still slept. Radar ran in hugging the life out of the Jesse twins,

"Boss! I was so worried!"

"Heh we're OK Radar," Jesse smiled until it fell as she whispered, "I wish I could say the same for everyone else..."

Radar looked at everyone in question until he realized who was missing.

"Oh..."

"Stone buddy...are you OK?" Dreamer went over to his friend who was still kneeling on the ground.

"I told her sacrificing herself wasn't worth it." He spoke through gritted teeth, "but she wouldn't listen, she just shoved me through to leave her there to die!"

His sharp tone toward the end surprised everyone except Ivy who went over to him and rested her head on his hand with a sad whine. He gently pat her head before getting up and saying to everyone,

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have snapped it's just..." Stone blew air in frustration before Aspen spoke,

"We understand, she was our friend too..."

Everyone stood in silence as the sunset right outside the Order Hall glass wall shined through with its last beams of light before going down.

AN- OK, so there's still the epilogue I'm going to publish later this week sometime in between all the final exams I'll be taking, but I need an idea for some kind of memorial the others build for Addie, nothing too big but that shows they considered her a friend since I've been drawing a blank on this for a while.
