Scarlet stared out the window as the sun went down once more. She was waiting for the right time to complete a ritual that would make Kai obey her forever. But she had a secret play up her sleeve. Matthew entered the room and took a seat, crossing his leg over his other.

"I say she is getting weak down there yet still have some fight left in her. How long has it been? 3years? What do you exactly plan to do with her?" He asked.

"That's none of your business, Matthew. She is mine and I will do as I please with her. But tell me, why did you put that creature down there with her? If she is harmed I will kill it and you." Scarlet asked as she faced him.

She crossed her arms as she leans against the wall as he fidgets in his seat. He searched for an answer in silence. Scarlet tapped her finger against her arm as she waited for his answer.

"It won't be able to touch her, it's not close enough. I just wanted to scare her." He replied.

Scarlet sensed some regret in his voice, she knew that if he angered her once more, it was a good chance she will kill him. She was impressed that even though she was down there for 3 years in the dark and solitude, she still had some fight left in her. Usually a human would just beg for death just after a few months. Suddenly she hears Kai scream. She growls and whacked Matthew once more, sending him flying into the wall as she headed towards the cell. As she opened the door, she saw the creature digging its nails into her ankle, drawing blood as Kai tried to kick it off. But with every kick, she noticed Kai was growing weaker and weaker. It appears she had to set her plan in early. She rushed to her, throwing the creature back, sending it flying into the brick wall as it laid there limp. She then knelt and held kai's injured ankle in her hands.

"Get..get your hands..off me.." panted Kai.

With every breath she grew weaker. Scarlet had to make her choose now. She lets her leg drop as she brushed the hair strands out of kai's face. She cupped her cheek, forcing her to look into her eyes.

"You have 2 choices. You either stay down here and turn into that," she points at the creature, "or you take my offer and become my underling and obey me forever." Said scarlet.

Kai glances at the creature then back at her, knowing if she said no, she would be left down here to go crazy and turn into whatever the fuck that thing is. But if she said yes, she would have to obey this monster forever. Either way, it was a lose-lose situation for her but what did she have to lose? She has nothing but the clothes on her back.

"Choose or I leave now." Scarlet demanded.

Kai sighed softly as she looked at her with regret in her heart. She leaned into her hand. Scarlet smiled to her self as she cups kai's neck before sinking her fangs into her. Kai hissed but didn't fight for she had no strength left in her to do so. It felt different from the first time she drew blood, this time was more gentle and less hungering. Scarlet leaned back and wipes her lip with her thumb before lightly tracing over kai's lips.

"The change will happen within a few nights. So be prepared." Scarlet said.

"I fucking hate you." Kai said breathlessly.

"I know. And I don't care. It's either this or become a creature like that. So you made the right choice. I will come get you tomorrow." She said with a smile as she drags the creature out of the cell behind her, throwing it into another cell.

Kai licked the faint blood trail upon her lips, spiting it against the ground. She hoped she made the right decision. She leaned against the wall, and tried to get some sleep.it wasn't long till she heard the door open once more and and the clicking of something before a howl of extreme pain comes ringing in her ear. She quickly covers her ears, trying to muffle out the howling and screaming as she looks up. There stood Vivian with a flamethrower and was burning the creature alive. She had a look to kill anything she looks at. Once a few minutes had gone by she lays the flame thrower against her shoulder as she looks at Kai.

"Get some sleep. That thing won't be bothering you anymore." She said as she left.

All Kai could smell was the smell of burnt decaying flesh. It was horrible. But at least she didn't have to hear the howling anymore. She took Vivian's advice and tried to get some sleep. Sleep soon took over her body and she was relieved. She slept all day and by the time the night came, scarlet came like she promised. She noticed Kai was a bit restless as she covered her mouth. She went to her, which earned a bit of a snarl at her. She raised her eye brow as she got closer. Kai whimpered in pain as she forced kai's hand away. She chuckled to herself as she could see kai's fangs coming out. It was a bit painful but it had to be done.

"What so funny?" Kai asked.

"Your fangs are coming out nicely. It's gonna be a bit of painful but you will soon forget what pain is. Once you fully change, you won't be able to feel any pain at all. Unless you step into the sun without a special ring from the high mother." Scarlet replied as she held up a key.

Kai eyes the key carefully as she watched scarlet unlock the restraints. As soon as her hands were free, she pushes scarlet away, unknowingly to her newfound strength, sending her flying against the cell bars. She stared at her for a second, shocked that she sent her flying before running out of the cell. Scarlet groaned and chuckled before licking her lips.

"So the chase begins again. I knew I kept her for a reason." She chuckled before racing after her.
