93- The Real Owner Is.....

"Your mom isn't the real owner of the law firm. She wasn't even the real Chairwoman of the firm. She was only supposed to look after that position till the real one comes."

...............

(The Next Day.)

I don't fancy coming in this part of the Law Firm where the mighty big office room of MD is.

I don't know the reason why I don't like here, but I just don't like it. But again, do I have any choice...? The answer is a big NO!

Apart from our father, the person who knows the real owner and I can trust him, is him.

"Sir, I would be very direct and straightforward with the question I have for you. I request and accept, you to do the same."

Sitting on the chair which in front of him, I gave him my no nonsensical look which underlined that I am in no mood of playing mind games today.

After few minutes of silence, he nodded his head and asked me what question did I had. I replied back by asking him the question which was haunting him sincw yesterday. Who was the real owner of this law firm...?

"Before telling you about who is the real owner of this law firm, I would like to tell you about your grandfather. Are you willing to listen...?"

Having no choice as he gave me his subtle eye look which gives when the information is an important one, I immediately agreed to his request and got ready to hear whatever he was going to speak about her grandfather.

"I'm sorry to say this, but your grandfather was the real definition of 'shrewdness'.

He was soo smart and would have been in the pages of history if he wouldn't have took a bad turn into the illegal business.

He, himself acknowledged his wrongdoings and that's why when Meenakshi told him that she wanted to study law, he agreed to it without any second thoughts."

The second quality, which I always hear about my grandfather after 'cruel' being the first one, is how shrewd he was.

Obviously, he would be smart taking into account how never once, he or his acquaintances got caught by the police and how he subtly escaped from the clutches of the law. He would've been very smart and accurate in reading other people's mind and body language to know what their next actions would be.

"He already knew about Mr. Samar Singhania's plans and that's why he sent me to advice and help Miss. Meenakshi back then. But I betrayed both of them, your mother and your grandfather."

Even though, I have never met my mother and my grandfather, still I felt as if I was the one who was betrayed and not them.

I kept my anger in check and focused my mind into listening to her instead of venting my anger inside my own self.

"I surely regret my decision back then and I usually always wonder what made me take such a drastic step like that. To this question, I always get only one answer which is, 'youth'.

I betrayed them, because I thought that I was too young to be under their control. I am too young yet adult to listen to their orders.

I wanted to become the one who give orders and others should the one who listen to them and follow it in their day-to-day life.

The greed of standing at the top, the greed of seeing myself in the position of Miss. Meenakshi, was driving me crazy.

My craze for being on the top was obviously seen by Mr. Samar Singhania. He was the one who brain washed me into thinking that the chairwoman doesn't deserves her place and feed me more greed by promising me that if I helped him in his plan, I would get a high position in the firm after he gets control over it.

To be honest, I don't entirely blame him for my stupid decision as I was the one who let him manipulate me for the greed and ended up agreeing to his deal thinking that it would be very easy task to do.

For that moment, I literally forgot who your grandfather was."

He laughed at his statement while shivering. I could see how my grandfather's name still brought the shivers of fear down his spine. It was too obvious of how scary he might be in those days.

"Anyways, his deal was to inform him every single move she was going to make beforehand so that he could prepare for it accordingly.

I did. I told him every single thing. And when I came to know who the real owner was, that time, I also told him the name of the real owner.

To be honest, I didn't realised that the reason why the real owner's name was exposed to me was, for me to know that this is it. This is it and I have to withdraw back or else the consequences would be bad. Very bad, in fact.

Trust me when I say, I have never seen him getting soo frustrated, angry, annoyed, and all of the world's negative emotions at once, jumping on his face, as he never expected your grandfather to play such a game.

But still, Mr. Singhania was stubborn and continued with his plan. His stubbornness and the history of his just one crime was the one which lead to his death."

Earlier, he was laughing with fear attached in his voice, but I could only sense emotion of hysteria in voice. He felt as if he is not only mocking Samar Singhania, but also his own self for not knowing his limits.

What game did my grandfather played which made both of the top player, sweat and shiber in fear...?

"You know how to play chess, right...? Then, then tell me why do you think that the queen has the highest authority in the game...? Why does the queen has more power than the king...?"

I just kept quiet, signalling him that I am not interested in answering his question because all I want to hear is the name of the owner and that's it. I know the answer. Every person who is well-aware of playing the game knows it.

Also, I remember playing with him once when I was new to the firm as playing chess with the interns or newcomers is kind of his vibe-check, then what's the point of asking me.

Even after me being mute and not answering his questions, which I am sure that he understood my underlined meaning of the quietness, but still he continued talking about the chess.

"The reason why the queen has the highest authority than the king is because even though she doesn't play an important role in the battlefield, she has the quality of playing an important and major role in the end.

She has the power of confidence of controlling a large number of squares at a single point of time.

She is known to stay calm but once, she is angered or even triggered, not even a man can stop her from causing destruction. This is not only seen in the chess, but also in the various stories of Indian Mythology.

Queen is just like Durga Ma, Kali Ma, and all other Goddess in the mythology.

Other from that, her importance is also obvious from the fact that numerous international chess players have resigned from the game once their queen has been captured. Queen carries that much power within her.

Soo much power that it can hinder even a powerful minded person. Soo much power can be compared to none.

Your grandfather was aware of this powe, and that's why he decided to keep a female as the owner."

Smiling towards her, he bent forward indicating that he is going to reveal the name of the real owner soon and end my curiosity.

I moved forward in the same manner on the table while never breaking up the stare.

"Now to finally answer your question, I would ask you a question in return.

Why do you think, your grandfather exchanged the babies...? Why do you think he gave you to the Narsule Family when he could have given Kairav away...?"

My expectations surely fell down from a high cliff, but his words forced me into thinking hard about the questions which I have never thought about.

How come I never thought of this...? Why grandfather decided to exchange me as baby, and not Kairav...?

I remember Kairav telling me that his grandfather did it for his sister's safety, so does that means.....

My eyes immediately widened when I continued the sentence in my mind. My eyes widened more, looking like a plate now, when I thought more on this account and everything started making sense. His every single action started making sense to me.

If my assumption is true, them damn!! I have agree that my grandfather was a champion when it came to playing mind games.

"Yes, what you are thinking is absolutely right. The reason why your grandfather decided exchange you as a baby is because.....

You are the real owner of this law firm. This firm belongs to you."
