90- Sanjana Sharma: A Victim Or An Attacker?
"What you are thinking is right. Sanjana Sharma was one of those many people who hated your mother with all her guts."
Sanjana Sharma studied in the same college as my mother but reason why I didn't thought of her in the negative role in this case was, because after just after one year of her academic session, she left the college.
The reason of her sudden retreat was because, her pregnancy.
Pregnancy!!
"Yes. Pregnancy. Her pregnancy was the reason why she dropped out and also the reason why she got close to your mother. They weren't that close as a friend, but she definitely knew her identity as an elder daughter of Ravin Family.
Your mother was studying law and at the same time, she was in chairwoman position too. Vihaan's Father, even after getting married to your mother's younger sister, he got involved himself with Sanjana."
Given the fact that the Ravin Sisters started their college life late as they weren't supposed to study outside the house, all the years and the timeline was making sense.
Kalapana Singhania who was already married to Vihaan, at the time when the sisters were studying in the college, was not out of love but instead was because of Samar's and Kalapana's intention to take over the Company and the Empire respectively.
"As Sanjana told us and everyone, about how brutally she was raped by Samar Singhania, but actually that wasn't the case."
Sitting straight and getting stiff once again with my back resting on the chair, I processed the information I just got.
If that's what the truth is, the whole base of this case will stumble because this might be not an important pillar but still, it's a strong pillar of the case.
"You mean to say that whatever happened between Sanjana Sharma and Samar Singhania, he had her consent and vice-versa...? If yes, then give a proper proof."
Nodding positively to my words and muttering a small yet audible and firm 'yes', she bent forward, actioning me to do the same thing.
"You remember when for the third court session, Kumar didn't wanted to come and the doctor supported his decision by giving you the official paper to submit the court...?"
I clearly remember that day. In that session of court, Mr. Kumar was supposed to be the main character but because of his inability to speak up due to the shock, or at least that's what the doctor said, I wasn't able to present him by investigating him in the court.
"That day, he wasn't in shock. Ths moment you got out of the room, he profusely started sweating and his hands started shaking.
As a lawyer, I immediately knew that this isn't because of the medication or the trauma but, it was because, he was scared.
It hurt me to even think about him as a villian, but when in between my inner wife self and my inner lawyer self, my lawyer self won, I decided to bug the room he was residing in the hospital.
That decision of mine turned out to be in my favour. This is the recording of the talks between him and Sanjana's younger brother who owns that hospital."
Passing me a recorder in which she have recorded. Even though, it's illegal to record someone without their consent, but if it turned out to be a whistleblower, then surely we will not face the consequences.
"And yeah, don't listen to it now. As I want to tell you more about Sanjana."
I nodded as I kept it in my handbag securely and looked at her to indirectly hinting her to continue with whatever she wants to tell me.
"You know right, that I took Sanjana's case when she went missing.
That was the time when graduated from the Law College two years ago, but even after training under the best lawyer of the city for almost two years, I couldn't get any proper cases.
So when I got such a big case of someone getting kidnapped and not, about some property related or tax related case, I was happy.
But what I didn't saw was that, I was inexperienced and because of that, I could not see the biggest flaw of that case which was, the unwillingness of my supervisor to take a part and guide me in this case."
Many big firms have this policy that when, a junior gets a big case of the first time, they will guide them so that they can understand the procedure in the physical way better.
"Who was your supervisor...? You could've took action against him or her."
If supervisor isn't ready to help and guide a junior, there's a rule of the law firm which can help juniors to protest against that supervisor.
If that person isn't ready and gave a proper reasoning why that person doesn't wants to guide the junior, the junior will get a new supervisor. That's how it's done.
"How will I take action against him when made a big deal with the person who I was going to take action against."
'No way.'
I didn't knew that I spoke this louder than it was intended to, but when she nodded her head to what I said and muttered in a defeated voice, 'Yes way', that proved my assumptions right.
"So it really was MD Malik."
MD Malik's history have always been very sneaky, the only thing I knew was that he made a deal with Samar to become CEO of my biological mother's Law Firm while Samir will be the Chairman. But because my mother played a sneaky game with them, which still is unknown as to what she did, he couldn't get that position and Malik ended up getting MD which currently is the highest position in our Law Firm.
After this revealing and her sneakily telling me that MD Malik and Mr. Kumar had some agreement, our conversation was done as according to her, she told me everything which she knew about that case.
I made my way towards home not before calling Kairav and telling to be there so that I can discuss it with him. But the moment I reached half-way road to my home, I changed my mind.
Taking a U-turn, I went to a different place where I intended to listen the recording which was given to me by Mrs. Kumar with Kairav.
When I told him about the change of my plans, he didn't questioned me why I suddenly did that, but instead he simply asked me about the subject of our meeting.
I know that I couldn't hide this from him any longer as from the moment I got the evidence about how Sanjana hated my mother, one question was rotating on my mind. And how can I not tell him when Meenakshi was his mother too.
"Who actually was Sanjana Sharma to us. To our mother. Was an victim or an attacker."
