75- Useful Involvement.

"It's not a specific person but a whole racket. It's gonna be a very long freaking fight."

If I submit this information to the court 2 weeks later in the sixth court session, I will also have to play role in the capturing of this racket people as this is connected to the case.

The case started off as a rape case, then became a drug case and then it began to surround around Shamika as she was involved with the gang. Now the case is taking turn towards a racket game.

"A serial criminal can't stop doing crimes because for that person, crime is an addiction which can't be forgotten and left behind forever."

I clearly remember this statement which was said by Miss. Keertika Kumari in her last lecture before we graduated from the University.

Over years, I have understood that whatever she said was nothing less than a straight fact. Doing crime is like home for serial criminals.

They can't stop doing it even if they want to. 'It's even worst than being a drug addict', I remember that's what Vidhika said 8 years ago sitting beside me and attending the last lecture with me.

I remember just shrugging off to her sentence as I believed that whether it's worst than being a drug addict or better than being a drug addict, that's based on a person's thinking.

According to me, both are dangerous in their own ways. Drugs can affect us physically before and then mentally whereas being addicted to do crimes, it's opposite.

'Both are very similar yet very different.'

That's what I wrote in my last year's examination paper.

I entered the room without knocking and the person inside jolted up because of the intruder who was lately behaving very impulsive.

"Why are behaving soo impulsively with me...?"

I rolled my eyes at Kairav thinking that he has the guts to ask me that when he was the one who trying to ignore me.

I walked deep inside his bedroom and picked up his laptop. I spoke up before he could start talking again and tell me how displeasure he is feeling because I touched his laptop without his permission but did he took my permission before involving himself in this case. No right.

I want to tell him that but I refrained myself as I have an important work in my hands.

"Shut up!! I am not here to have a childish fight with you. I am here because of an important work. So please co-operate before I report you to the agency you are working with."

And that last sentence made me freeze making me smile widely. That last sentence or threat, to be precise, worked on him as he surrendered his hands in the air.

"I will not ask you why you agreed to help her or how she made you do that. Also did you came from Delhi to Mumbai because of her, at least for now, I will not ask.

As you already have included yourself in this case, then how about making your involvement useful...?"

In less than 10 minutes, he made himself ready for helping me in the case as we both sat down and went through the papers which Adarsh gave and also the papers which was collected by our investigation team.

"Before starting let me ask you one thing."

"Yeah go ahead."

I said immediately as I didn't wanted to waste any time but that doesn't means I will not hear him out and will not answer his questions.

"You are lawyer and not police then why are you doing work of a policeman..?"

I sighed as I kept my hands on the temples of my eyes and rubbed them lightly before turning towards him and answering his questions.

"Because of Vihaan. Vihaan is the prime suspect in this case and this detailed information will pull him more in the depth of trouble.

But before being a prime suspect, he is a police officer with a very high rank. I agree that law doesn't let power rule over it but the corrupt people make the power soo powerful that law can do nothing.

That means, definitely some laws are at fault but in the end, the people are the one who make it and it's subject to have involvement of some corrupted people minds in making that particular law.

I hope you understand what I am trying to tell. It's not that I don't trust police but I don't trust power of greed."

He nodded as his eyes went on his laptop again and my eyes went towards the papers in front of me. I was mentally debating from where to start.

And when finally I chose one paper out of many, I stood up and turned towards him.

"Kairav, so let's first start with Miss. Sanjana Sharma, i.e., Ex- Mrs. Kumar."

I saw him nodding and typing her name. I picked up the detailed information paper with my own paper before reading it carefully.

"According to both of the papers, 29 years ago, she was raped by Vihaan's dad. Later when she found out that she was pregnant, her family kicked her out and Mrs. Mina Kumar's family, i.e., More family, took her in.

As Mr. Kumar was madly in love with her, he told her parents that the kid in her womb is his and he is ready to marry with her. Those three families, More family, Sharma family and Kumar family were really very close even before these three kids were born which gave Miss. Sajana family nothing to reject the marriage proposal which kumar family send them. That's how they got married."

I stopped as I couldn't hear Kairav tying. When I looked at him, my doubts were confirmed as I saw him looking at the screen with a very confusing face.

"Vaishnavi, sorry to interrupt you from talking but I find something very amusing here."

I looked at him with my one eyebrows up and told him to continue his statement ahead with actions of my hands.

"I agree that love is blind but it isn't soo blind that a person will do something like Mr. Kumar. I mean some people can do what Mr. Kumar did but let's not forget that he is man who was born in 60's, that time india wasn't that open-minded country and even now, some people have that kind of mentality.

So I found Mr. Kumar's personality or to be precise, what he did here, very amusing that for one second, I found it hard to believe that such people used to exist in 80's."

He is not completely wrong though. Even I found it amusing and not to forget, our conservative society. Even though, if he agreed to marry her and accept her, it was impossible for him to accept the child in her womb.

"I agree with whatever you said but I think he accepted Miss. Sharma after making her agree that her son will not live with them. That's why, till now, we don't have any leads on where her son is now or where she is now after her kidnapping.

We don't even know whether he is alive or death and same questions are in the top of his mother's name. I remember once I even asked myself, what if she is alive and if that's the case, it will be a major set back. Not only to the case, but also to the lives of people involved in this."

I placed my theory in front of him. I had many theories cooking inside my head, but this theory perfectly fitted with the information we had for now.

Even after giving him the information and telling him what I got after investigating on that case, he was still stuck on that part.

"Your theory is right too and I am not trying to prove that you are wrong. Okay for now, let's leave 80's behind and come to the 90's when she got kidnapped, now just think about it.

How can a man fall in love with a women who was incharged for his kidnapped wife's case...? And not to forget, that she had crush on him for a very long time. Others might think that wow, 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' ('Match made in heaven', this name is also the title of a very famous bollywood movie.) but for what I can see, he clearly took advantage of her love.

He used her love to take back the case even after her Sharma family was against it and after they died, he knew that no one will look for her expect his small brother who was in his early teen or something.

He knew that if that case is re-opened again, his all dirty secrets will come out and that's why, he took the responsibility of her younger brother, Raghunath who was already adopted by More family. Also, I think that he manipulated him so that in the future, even if someone told him to re-open that case, he, himself will deny it.

Also, tell me if that person, I mean if Mr. Kumar is such an open-minded person that if even let Sanjana. Kumar give birth to a child who was not his, then why did told Mina. Kumar to leave her job after getting married to him. That's soo not behaviour of a open-minded person.

I know that I don't have any evidence to prove this theory right but you also know, this theory makes sense."

For the first time, I had nothing to state back after what he said. This theory makes a lot of sense. My mind went back when I got this chip, Mr. Kumar was very reluctant to give me the chip whereas Mrs. Kumar was determined and also told me to find all the dirty secrets. Still, I don't know what she was referring too but I guess, I will come to know that very soon about that 'Dirty secret'.

Earlier what he stated, we couldn't say anything about it as that was based on Mr. Kumar's personal thinking but this one theory, was more to the practical side.

"Call it instincts or experience, I feel that this Mr. Kumar is really- I am not remembering the proper word for explaining what I am feeling, but for sure, he is involved.

Can you talk with him regarding this or call him for investigation...?"

I sighed and I leaned on the wall near me as my legs started hurting for standing at one place for soo long.

"We can't. Even though, his health is improving but his diabetes is making it worst. Also, due to the accident, he damaged his vocal cords as he neck hit the steering hard."

Kairav snorted and looked at me with sarcastic gaze. I knew what he was thinking so I scoffed and walked away to see on the bed, giving rest to my still paining legs.

"Do you really believe that...? Don't forget that hospital's chairman is Raghunath. He can scam the report so that his dear jijaji (sister's husband, it's a term which is called by a sister's brother to her husband in hindi language.) doesn't have to go through investigation or step inside the court.

Wow, isn't this deja vu."

I couldn't help but laugh because of his last sentence. Definitely, it's a deja vu. Earlier, I was the one and now, he is the one who is proving that this reports are scammed ones.

It must have looked very creepy when I immediately stopped laughing. But can't help when I got an amazing idea in my head which I can't help but to share with the man who was looking at me with disgust filled in his eyes.

"We don't have evidence for what you said, but we can definitely find one which can prove that whatever you were saying was right."

"And how you will prove it...?"

He asked me as he twirled his chair before he folded his arms in front of his chest and looked at me with a questionable eyes while I just smirked as I was really proud of myself.

"If he is afraid of that case, then for sure his heart will burst out if the case will re-open again after 15 damn years as it will prove, his all efforts in vain of keeping in low.

What if his own flesh and blood, his own daughter, i.e., Shamika, open this case...? If that happens, he will get the biggest shock of his life."
