"WHAT!?! DID YOU JUST SAID THAT YOUR LAPTOP GOT HACKED!?! FREAKING HACKED!?!"

I know panicking is not the solution right now but if that chip ends in the wrong hands, my all plans in how to use that chip against the mastermind in the near future will mess up and also my past will get revealed.

I was rotating in circles in the living room but stopped when my back when I realised what he said earlier. My back was facing Kairav as took deep breaths to calm myself down and when I was finally calmed, I turned to look at Kairav again.

"You said you know who is the culprit right..? Tell me the name and rest leave it on me."

I saw him sighing while looking down at his laptop.

"I don't think you will believe when I will say the name."

"Why wouldn't I..?"

I said immediately after he was done talking. I didn't understand why he was talking like this in circles when he was always straightforward.

Yes surely he also liked creating suspense but never he tried to roam in circles when it comes to cases. He tends to serious more than nervous and now he seemed to be nervous.

"First of all the person is very smart and knows how to protect their device. I literally had a breakdown while finding IP address of the hacker."

The way Kairav said, I was sure that this person will be a hard one. Kairav, from teenage years, was very sharp when it comes to technology. No one can beat him when it comes to battle of technology. That's other thing that he never used technology in a bad way but this person is definitely using it in a bad way and I have to stop it.

"When I traced the IP address of the hacker with my phone... The hacker's location was........"

My eyes widened when I heard the location. I was not surprised but disappointed because I never thought that person could do such thing and also in the current situation.

"That means the hacker is....."

(Same day. 1 hour later.)

I made my way walking in the corridors for meeting the person I was supposed to meet.

As soon as I open the door, I expected the person to not be shocked but here is it, she was shocked to see me standing in front of me. Her expressions quickly went to normal again as she looked at me.

I took an ahead to enter fully inside the room, pulled the stool which beside her bed and sat on it.

While making all this movements, I held a very deep eye contact with the person with an expressionless face, trying to make her feel intimidated and it was working on her. It's turn out to be that she is not that hard to interrogate but I can't deny her talent of using technology.

I put the bag which I brought of her on the table attach to the bed. It was apples as it's the best thing I can get for a person who is sick right..?

"Shamika, you know right what you did..?"

After 3 minutes of silence which I guess was filled with awkwardness for her. For me, I was enjoying it.

Exactly as I thought, she didn't answered me making me use my step 2 in making her reveal that she was the one who hacked Kairav's laptop and deleted the information of the chip.

Yes, the person whom we are suspecting is Shamika, the daughter of the person who gave me that chip.

The IP address location was of hospital. At first, I wasn't convinced that it was Shamika as that's the name Kairav took but then when I called Mrs. Kumar and asked her does anyone in their family owns Dell Inspiron, she said that last year, Mr. Kumar gifted that same laptop's brand to Shamika.

And to add the information which I got from Mrs. Kumar, she said that Shamika yesterday at night requested her to bring her to the hospital. Also once I remember Vidhika saying that Shamika is very good at technology.

"You know I could have reported you to the police which would have made my work easier. And keeping in the mind that you don't even have license to hack but still you did hacked the laptop. That would be enough to put you in jail for 2 years, not to forget about how much shame from the society you will get afterwards but that's not it, you also deleted an important document from it which was related to the case. The police will assume that you helped the opposition and you will get punishment instead of them cuz who knows what they are capable of. That would be enough for putting you behind the cell, for at least 7 years and who knows it can be more than 7 years also if they found out something more. You messed up a big time, Miss. Kumar."

My intention was actually not to scare her but I indeed scared her very much. But you can't deny the fact that she could get arrested for it.

'She has a talent in technology and have to make sure that her talent is used for the good thing and not for the bad ones.'

Kairav words for earlier rang inside my head as I took deep breaths to calm myself down. Even my day today was messed up.

I looked away from her to calm down for my current posture which made her feel intimidated. I let my expressionless face loosen up to soft one and looked up at her again with my soft eyes.

"Okay I am really very sorry for scaring you. It's my fault. That files were really important for me, for this ongoing case. I felt as if the life gave me one more chance to live when I got that information in the form of chip from your father. So will you please tell, are you that person who hacked the laptop and deleted the information..?"

She seemed shocked. She definitely knew how important this information is for the case but the fact that her own father gave it to me, was shocking to her as that would mean that the chip for which her father literally gave his life for, she deleted that information.

"Di-d m-y, like my father ga-ve y-ou t-ha-t infor-m-atio-n. Was th-at th--e re-aso-n h-e g-ot i-nto ac-cident...?"

The last sentence was more like she was asking herself but I heard it. Her voice was breaking clearly expressed what she was feeling right now after what I said.

"Yes, your father gave me that chip which had that information. About the accident, I still don't know whether it was intentional or not but the investigation team of my law firm is investigating your father's accident case."

I wanted speak more but then when I saw that she wanted to say something, I stopped and let her speak.

"What you said earlier, about that jail one and punishment one, will I really get go in jail for that long..?"

Before saying, I saw how she gulped down her salvia. She was nervous, very nervous. I internally chuckled at her behaviour but then said the truth.

"According to the law, hacking without a license is an offense and even, if you have a license and you hacked without permission or for some personal reasons, that too is an offense. I didn't lied when I told that you can go in jail for 7 years but if someone have threatened you to hack it, then you will not go to jail but definitely you have to go through a punishment which the judge decides because doing something wrong is always wrong whether you were willing to do or not willing to do."

As soon as I finished, she quickly asked me the next question which made me grin because without even trying my step 3 of the plan, she already asked me what I was going to ask her.

"What if I tell you that I was threatened to hack the laptop..?"

"So are you agreeing that you have hacked the laptop, Miss Kumar..?"

I too asked her immediately after she was done speaking.

"Yes, I did but on someone's saying."

I smiled in satisfaction. That's what I wanted to know because we both knew, Kairav and I, that she wouldn't do that alone and the fact that no one, expect Mr and Mrs. Kumar, I and Kairav knew about that chip, made us very suspicious.

"Right now you are on the bad side and you can't escape the punishment but after the punishment you get from the judge, I am ready to help you to walk towards the good side on one condition.

Help me."
