I sat down on the dinning table while buttering my bread with my eyes attached on Kairav who was studying the case from starting even after I denied it.

'If someone come to know that I gave the important papers of the case without higher officials permission, I will get in a big trouble.'

I sighed as I looked at my bread again.

"Vaishnavi can you eat fast so that we can discuss..? Stop running away from it like you did last night."

Yes, I ran away to my bedroom after what he said. From the time Mrs. Kumar gave me that chip, I got very curious about what's inside the chip. There were 10 files inside from which only one was not secured by the password and rest were secured by the password.

'What's soo important inside that 9 files that the owner of this chip have to put a password on it...?'

I always asked myself that question but when the files finally got opened, I lost all my confidence. You can't be confident all time, you will have your ups and downs, right..?

The one which wasn't secured was of the drug deals and how the deals took place. I still haven't used it against the opposition as I thought that there is more to the story and I was right.

"Okay let's discuss about this first and then check the what the chip got."

I said as I pointed to the papers lying on the table while eating the last piece of bread. As I saw him nodding to what I said, I quickly got up to keep the plate in the sink before going back to my lawyer mode.

"Soo.... As you already know how the case the started and turned from a rape case to a whole big blunder.

Talking about adhya, she is in shock as well as her family because of what vidhika did.

About Shamika, she needs certain time to remember what happened on that da-"

I was going to continue when Kairav spoke in between making me stop. If you all wonder where my parents and brother is, they are busy in preparation of my brothers wedding while we will be joining them later, as we both promised them.

"About Shamika, what do you think..?"
He asked me with a discreet smile while I laughed.

"I think she remembers what happened that day but she don't want to talk about it."

"Why do you feel soo..?"

I looked at him as he questioned me.

"Her body language. The way she got goosebumps on her skin when I asked her what happened a day before her accident. I would have agreed to the doctors that she is traumatized by the accident but I feel that even before the acid attack, something happened which left her undisturbed.

Now what happened..? That only she could tell us."

After my explanation, he nodded his head in an understanding way.

I looked at him again and started thinking why he is helping me..? Like I know that I asked him to me that day but why I feel like something is more to the story.

I felt very weird about how he is behaving right now. He looks very serious when he is totally opposite whenever he visits my home. He behaves literally like a baby who is high on sugar.

I have a lot of doubts on him when I shouldn't have but it's not my fault. Recently, many people have broke my trust so I couldn't help but to doubt on each and every person.

"Vaish you wrote here that you had a doubt on Mrs. Kumar's aka Miss. Mina More's brother so why didn't you  background researched on him..?"

I remember having a little doubt on Miss. More's brother but just having a little doubt doesn't means that I wouldn't have done background check on him.

"I did and everything was clear. There was just a history of adoption."

I said as I got up and went to my bedroom where I remember keeping the file of the background check on Raghavendra. More.

"A history of adoption..?"

He asked as he followed me to my bedroom.

"Yes, a history of adoption... Raghavendra is actually son of Mr and Mrs. Sharma aka, parents of Miss. Sanjana Sharma. He is a late kid who was born when his biological sister was near 15 or something. He was nearly 10 years old, when his father died and his mother committed suicide. So being a close friend of Mr and Mrs Sharma, More couples adopted their son.

In short, he is legally Miss. More's brother but biologically, he is brother of Miss. Sharma."

Yes, yes and yes. I know this is very weird but this happened. After Miss. Sharma got kidnapped, her family was in distress. Her father became a victim of an heart disease and died from the same disease while after her husband's death, Mrs. Sharma killed herself in a confined space.

"How come I didn't knew about this..?"

He muttered under this breath clearly in the intention of me not listening to it but I heard it. Have I ever told that my ears are very sharp..?

Even when I heard what he said, I behaved like I heard nothing and continued to find that one file in my cupboard which was full of files.

Yes, sometimes opening this cupboard gives me headache but that's what my work is. I can't slack off.

After finding it, I gave the file to Kairav who now sitting on the couch looking at the photo frame of our childhood.

Smile immediately made it's way to my face and busted out laughing when I remembered the back story of that photo.

"Yah!! Don't laugh on me!!"
He said while walking towards me with a playful glare and took the file from my hand.

He was going though the file when suddenly he snapped at me.

"Vaish what will you do or react if I tell you that this file is fake..?"

I was confused but immediately after it clicked to me when one person name came in my head.

I sighed as I pressed my right hands fingers against my head while my left hand went inside my pocket to get hold of my phone. I made a quick call regarding what my so-called twin asked me. After I ended the call, I looked at Kairav again whom I found already looking at me.

"Kairav I guess it's the time... It's the time when I have the break through the barrier of the past to find what the actual truth is."

And also why Kairav made that statement..? Doesn't that statement looks little suspicious..?
