""Mrs. Kumar tell me who is your son..?"
I closed my eyes in embarrassment and quickly opened to look at the car in front of me.
Mumbai and it's traffic, is terrible.
I again closed my eyes, this time it wasn't in embarrassment but because of irritation. After opening my eyes again, I looked back at the vehicle which was beeping continuously.
It was a vehicle of importance, a vehicle which indirectly saves people's life but here it was stuck in between the traffic.
In India, the whole road is stopped when a politician or a person in a high position in the police department, is traveling and even people give up their routes for them but for a life saving vehicle, for an ambulance no one leaves space for the vehicle.
Here, politics is more important than citizen's life.
That's what was happening today. Because of some stupid rally in which a powerful politician was going to lead it, the whole road was stopped by the police.
Luckily, the police and the people around were having the sanity to give up their road to an ambulance.
"This will surely make an headline tomorrow."
I whispered and shook my head in disbelief but still was happy because I could see that the people were changing.
I was on my way to the railway station after getting a call from a person who basically did something to surprise me.
After the ambulance got it's way out from the traffic, my mind again time travelled when my imagination ran too wild.
(30 minutes before)
"Miss. Narsule, your imagination had ran too wild, too wild according to me. If he was my son, he would have been with me till now because I am not that kind of mother who will easily give up on her child even when he was born out of wedlock."
I guess she is right. According to what information I have, she never took a hiatus or leave during her college times but if she would have been pregnant, she would have definitely took a leave because of the pressure from the society.
India haven't changed much when it comes to women empowerment. Rapes doesn't have a ban on them, domestic violence is still considered as right and all blame goes on a girl if something wrong happens even when she was a victim.
I thought and thought about who it could be, when I gasped and look at Mrs. Kumar who was smiling discreetly at me.
"Was it Sanjana Sharma..? Who got pregnant..?"
The approval nod from Miss. More did nothing but filled out all the blanks which were left unsolved. The only unsolved blank which I have to find now was, who kidnapped her and is she alive now..?
"Yes, vihaan's father got her pregnant. When her parents kicked her out of the house, she directly came to my home for the shelter. As my parents were open-minded people and also they considered Sanjana as their own daughter, they agreed to her request of her staying at our house.
I thought she didn't knew who the rapist i.e., who vihaan's father was, but she did knew him, she knew him personally."
I was quite not surprised the last sentence because when I came to know that the girl whom Miss. More was talking about is none other than Mrs. Sanjana Kumar, it already came to my mind that she knew Mr. Singhania.
"I don't know more about this because she was never ready to let me about th-"
She was talking when I cut her words and spoke in between.
"Tell me how you are involved in all this. I can roughly guess what happened next as you said that Mr. Kumar liked Sanjana Sharma, so obviously he would have came forward to help her and that's how they got married. He claimed that the child was his and thus saved her reputation. The marriage between them, ignited your anger. Am I right Mrs. Kumar..?"
I said the whole assumption in one breath as I looked at her only to look at her pale face.
"Yes, he did married her to save her reputation. Also her parents liked him from the very starting, so she was able to win their trust again by saying that the kid in her womb is of Santosh (Mr. Kumar). Even when I was angry, I felt it was wrong to tell everyone the truth as she trusted me very much.
After her son was born, I came to know what deal happened between the both. I will tell you about the deal later.
Now talking about how I am involved in this, yes I was involved in it from starting but my role was indirect. It was 15 years ago, when my role in this drama turned from indirect to direct."
I frowned as I looked at her and signalled her to continue but soon it was her words were cut by my phone ringing.
I could have silenced it but seeing that it was from Kairav and it will be definitely important, I excused myself and picked up the call.
Even when I went far away from the table where I and Mrs. Kumar were sitting, my eyes continuously were on her. Yes, I know it's creepy but I can't help.
"Hello. Pick me up."
The other side told me making me confused.
"Can you be more specific..?"
"Can you be more smart..?"
I rolled my eyes at his wonderful response.
"Okay if you have nothing to say and you have just called me for doing time pass then by-"
