24- Starting of Court War.
"Whatever it costs, whatever I lose.. I will do anything because I want to win and I will win."
~ withbeautifulwings.
(1 hour before the court hearings starts)
"No matter what I will not let anything bad happen to an innocent person."
I said to the almighty in front of me.
I don't know but I have this habit of visiting Temple, Masjid, Gurudwara and Church before any hearings.
I am not that religious person but still I believe it's important.
My way towards the court was only of 10 minutes but it felt like 10 hours. That shows how nervous I was.
How I can be not..? I will facing the opposition from a person who I used to idolize once back then but now...
I snorted as I remembered what happened 11 years ago.
I took a deep breath and got out of the car only to meet Mr. Singhania leaning against his black car.
I made my way towards him and smiled.
"What are you doing here..? Shouldn't you be in court now..?"
I asked as he placed a kiss on my forehead. It was nothing shocking as nowadays this have became our normal routine.
"I was waiting for you... Wait are you nervous..?"
I kept quiet. Anyone close to me can sense that I was nervous nose was little bit red and my fingers were again and again brushing itself with my palms.
"I know sweetheart that something is wrong and I will not ask what. But for now please forget everything and bring out that 'fierceful lawyer' version of yours cause right now you need it."
He definitely knows what to say and what not to at dreadful times.
I nodded as we made our way towards the court with chin up.
After talking with him, I got a strange confident.
I look at him and smiled.
"Vidhika have you prepared everything we need for today..?"
We aee inside the court right now and only 45 minutes are left for the court hearings to start.
"Yes I have."
I started revising each and every point which I need to present in 1 hour of court session.
My mind suddenly reminded me of how my parents whined today morning to come with me to court.
I smiled thinking of that.
My smile immediately faded when I saw a particular person coming towards me.
It was Meeta Kumari...
"Ohh Vaishnavi I never thought in my wildest dreams that I will have to face you in the opposition."
"Ohh Miss. Meeta Kumari I also have never ever thought in my wildest dreams that I have to face you in the opposition for ______"
And that caught her off guard.
If she knows my weak point the even I know hers.
This court was is going to be interesting.... Pretty interesting.
I saw Mr. Singhania looking at me in worry. I guess he saw what happened and like smart he is, he would have already predict that there is some beef cooking between me and Meeta Kumari.
I just smiled telling him nothing is wrong and turned towards Vidhika who was surprisingly looking very pale.
She was okay before. What happened to her now..? I was wondering and checking her facial expressions to find out what's wrong. But suddenly she shouted.
"Oh no nothing is wrong. Don't worry I am fine."
Strange. I didn't even asked her what's wrong. I just shrugged off thinking that this is her sister's case which I am presenting and that could be the reason why she is feeling uncertain. Luckily no one noticed her shouting.
I looked at the first row behind me to see Vidhika's parents and Adhya sitting there.
I went towards them and touched her parents feets to take ashirvad.
I hugged Adhya and told her not to take anything which is going to happen here by heart.
"See Adhya the fact is inevitable that the opposing lawyer will try to hurt your integrity to hurt you... Try to make you back off but you have to be strong. Okay..? I will do everything to save your dignity but the final choice is yours.
This fight is not easy and trust me when you win it.... You will never regret having to go through such difficulty."
I saw her nodding her head.
"Yes di whatever happens I will not back off or I never not put my head down. I will walk with my chin up. We will surely win because I know if I back off today, I will regret it in the future."
She is very brave..... More brave than me.
I smiled at her and patted her head.
I saw her tears in her parents say and I felt them saying, 'we are soo proud of you daughter.'
It reminded me of that incident 11 years ago and it was enough to fuel my anger and determination.
Then and there I made a promise to myself.
"I promise that at any cost I will win this case... No matter who is standing in opposition... No matter how powerful that person is... No matter how much my past is revealed... I will not run away. That's it. Let's start the court war."
