"Her maternal uncle.."

Pure silence.

"I guess he can be but as you know we can't jump upto the conclusions without any solid evidence."

He said after a long 5 minutes silence and I nodded to his statement.

"Yes I kno-"

He didn't let me complete as he spoke in middle after looking at his watch with widened eyes.

"Wait now it's pretty late and I know you haven't brought your car here. So let's go I will drop you till your apartment and will discuss further details in my car. Let's go..?"

I looked at my watch which showed me that it was 10:45 pm.

"Yea sure."

With that we got of the police station and sat inside his car as he quickly started driving. It was again pure silence in the car but it wasn't awkward one. I should say it was rather peaceful one.

"Oh yeah I forgot to tell you Amey is getting married this year end and you are specially invited."

This time, I was the one who broke the silence between us. I intentionally put force on the words 'specially invited.'

"Ooh yeah I know my future mother-in-law would have been specially invited me."

Clearly, he was teasing me. Shameless creature he is, isn't he..?

"Ohh shut up! Don't tease me and yeah your future mother-in-la-"

I stopped in mid way when I realised what I am saying and my hands made their way to my mouth to keep it shut. Oh holy spirit! Oh God!! Why did I said that!?!

He was enjoying my situation as he was laughing madly and I was trying not to strangle him for the sake of my own life.

"I mean I mean my mom have specially invited you, not your future mother-in-la-.. whatever."

I was frustrated and my state made him laugh more at me while I huffed angrily.

"Yah!! focus on driving now. I don't want to die young."

I said and eventually laughed because of the situation suddenly turned funny. I don't know how but his face made me laugh.

"Don't worry by me on your side you will not die soo easily sweetheart."

Such a flirt he is. After his duty, no one could guess what his profession is because of his behaviour.

"Oh my seriously... Stop flirting and concentrate."

I scolded him like how my mother scolds me when I do something wrong.

"Yes ma'am."

He saluted me and we both had a great laugh.

Now you all will be thinking what's up with all this mother-in-law and all. So let me tell you, My dear mother thinks that Vihaan has a potential of being her future son-in-law even after knowing that we aren't in relationship.

Whenever he and his mother visit our home, she treat him like her son-in-law. She even calls him javai babu (Marathi word for son-in-law) and I wouldn't be surprised if she gets me married to him before I turn 28.

Every one is behind me now as my brother is getting married. He is having a love marriage so it's easy for him at some points but for me, Damn it! The whole wedding I will have to listen people talking about now when will I get married and bla bla bla.

It's not like that I hate him or something else, it's just I don't want to get married. I admit Vihaan is a boy for whom many girls die. He is gentleman, understands me well etc etc and he is even my ideal type but after what happened that night...
I don't really want to give my trust and love to anyone.

I know he likes me or even I can say that he loves me. I am not at all blind to not see his different behaviour towards me.

Suddenly, I remembered my brother's words,
"I know you why you don't want to get married and I also know why it is so difficult for you but just give him a chance."

I took a quick glance of him... He is perfect. I took deep breathe as I decided to give him a chance. While doing such actions like taking a breathe deeply, Vihaan gave me a weird look.

And what I said next made us both jerk forward with a undefinable force.

"Will you go out with me..?"

Wasn't I too bold..? Yes I was. It's clearly seen from what he did.

After my sentence, he suddenly pulled the breaks and saw me hypocritical like I am some kind of criminal.

"Did I said something wrong..?"

I asked innocently while pointing my index finger towards myself.

"What did you just said..?"

He asked me and was still in daze. I wanted to tease him by not repeating my words, but nevertheless, I decided to repeat it.

"Will you go out with me...?"

He was clearly shocked again by my boldness.

He smiled widely after gulping down my words to his heart. But soon composed and gave me a smirk while he leaned towards his seat backwards. Oh god! This is not a good sign.

"Young lady, aren't you being too bold..?"

Well I was flusterated but I composed myself and reciprocated his smirk. If I have brought this topic, I shouldn't back off.

"Do you want go or not. If I changed my mind, it will be very difficult for you Mr. Singhania."

And yeah, after listening to my statement, his expressions changed to horrid from a smirk. Yay! It's a victory.

"Okay okay I agree."

He said with a smile while I smiled back. I thought he will ask me why so suddenly asked him out but he didn't.

I don't know why he didn't. I was in my own land of thoughts when his voice pulled me back into reality. I was soo lost that I didn't even realised what I was doing.

"I know I am handsome but you know it's kinda rude to stare someone with such an intensity."

Here he goes again... Should I dig a hole so that I can hide inside it whenever I embarassed myself..?

"Don't tease me. Remember I can cancel the date with a snap of my fingers."

I said with a smirk hoping to see his horrid reaction again.

"Ohh so it is a date..."

He said making me pout while he smirked at my reaction.

"Should I cancel..?"

I tried to imitate his voice but miserably failed at it. Oh gosh! This is soo embarrassing.

Silence.

A pure silence.

But soon the car was filled by some sort of chirping voice coming from both of us, laughing at my failed attempt.

Soon the car stopped at basement and here comes my apartment. I got down of the car and I turned towards Vihaan who was getting down, to say him bye.

He came towards me.

"Thanks for dropping me till my house."

I said with a smile but he decided to tease me.

"Oh please don't say thanks and all. It was my duty as I am your future husband. What will my future mother-in-law think if I don't give my future wife a ride to her home."

Oh God!! I swear I kind of regret asking him out on a date. Seriously!

"What do you think I woul-"

And here my heart goes boom boom.

He engulfed me in a tight hug. I was shocked and was standing still on my place but soon composed when his arms left my body.

"Well nice technique of making me shut."

"Well thank you.. I will make sure to use this technique in future, my future wife."

He again teased while passed him my deathly hallow glare and stomped towards the staircases.

I stopped in mid way and soon a smile replaced my blank face.

'It wasn't that bad as I was thinking.'

I thought as I started climbing up the stairs.

I peeked out when I reached the passage of the building, from where anyone could see the basement. I saw him still standing there. Probably waiting for me to message him that 'I reached'

It's not the first time he is waiting like this. Everytime when he comes to drop me at my apartment, he waits till he gets my message.

My smile wider as I remembered what happened.... how I asked him out and how he teased me.

I Couldn't help but wonder how will be my life after this.
