03- Not an Easy One.

" Even though you behave like a strong person in front of the world and is considered as fearless but that doesn't means you don't have any kind of fear. Everyone has a fear which will make you fall to rise up again and that fear is the reason where you are standing right now."

I quickly went to office which is located in Bandra. As I went inside my cabin, I saw a heart breaking scene which made me weak but I can't afford to cry in front of me when I am supposed to help them.

When their attention was on me, I instantly hugged Vidhika and her family members. I could she how frightened her sister was, whose name by the way was Adhya. I met her many times before and she was a bubbly girl with a very friendly nature. She is that kind of person who mingles with everyone very easily and everyone liked her because of her bright personality but today, she looked very dull.

She reminded me of the same 17 year old teen Vaishnavi.

I tried to calm her sobbing parents down first. After they calmed down, I ordered breakfast for all of us as I know they also haven't eaten anything and having a proper conversation without eating, I don't know about them, but for me, it's impossible.

It was 8 am dot when the breakfast arrived and we ate it in complete silence with the voice of little sniff here and there.

After the breakfast was done and I told her parents to sit out for a while. According to psychology, children especially girls, have problems speaking about rape or molestation in front of their parents because they feel that their parents will be disgraced by them. That's one of the reason why the rape cases and molestation cases are soo high in india because they don't have such conversation with their parents.

They were reclutant to leave her alone as they were afraid what if she does something unexpected but I gave them assurance that nothing will happen. Vidhika decided to look after their parents outside, leaving me and Adhya alone in the room.

As they went outside, I quickly put a smile on my face and caressed her hair. She flinched back by my sudden actions but then relaxed after she realised that it was my hand. I did so to give consolation that I am here and nothing will happen to her.

"See bacha (a term called my elders to their juniors), you know na if you don't tell me what happened I can't help you."

She wanted to say something after what I told her but then, quickly closed her mouth.

" I know you are not able to speak right now... It's okay you can take your time beta but remember whenever you want to speak about it, I am ready to speak with you, okay..?"

I smiled as she nodded and I then started talking about random things to make her mind distract from what happened.

After a good 15 minutes of talk I saw her smiling when I told her how once her sister got punished in our college for making fun of one of our teacher. But her smile was short lived.

Her lips suddenly started trembling as I quickly gave her water to drink and after that what she told made me feel very proud of her.

"Didi (elder sister) I am telling you what happened that night."

I was soo proud of her because in any rape, molestation, abuse or etc cases which I have seen, at first girls are very reclutant to say what happened with them. They need a proper counseling first and after few days they are able to finally speak up but this girl, she is ready to speak up without a proper counseling. She is a brave girl.

"Beta you know you are soo brave. From all the cases which I seen, all of them take to much time to speak up but you, I can see that you are soo determined to fight for injustice. I am soo proud of us and I promise that I will fight for you till the end."

I said making her smile. When we are counseling someone we should always be very careful with our words because you never know what will trigger their fear.

"And yeah if you are not able to speak. Take this and write on it because some times we human beings find writing better than talking."

I took out paper and pen from my upper drawer of the office table and gave it to her as she nodded.

"Didi, I think it started from last month....."
She said and I twitched my eyebrows in confusion.

"Beta can you elaborate...?"
I asked her in a sweet voice so that she will be able to speak ahead.

"Didi I was getting love letters from a secret admirer from last month."
She said and I can see that she was very confident about what she said now.

"But beta how can you be soo sure that the person who gave us this letter is a bad person."
I wanted to say the person who raped you but as I said you have to be very careful with your words.

"Didi because that love letter was always kept by my secret admirer in my college bag. I was so scared that I told my best friend about it on the fourth day and she somehow brought the CCTV camera footage of that first day when I found the letter."

She said and stopped in between contemplating whether it tell me or not while I was little shocked by the news.

"But wait how she was able to bring that footage..? From what I know now a days it's restricted from seeing CCTV cameras footage unless you have the permission from the authorities and I don't think she might have took the permission. So how did she managed to get it..?"

I shared my thoughts with an underlying meaning. I am doubting her best friend because I have seen and read many cases where the best friends are the one who trick their friends for their own benefits.

"She is daughter of the one of the trustee of our college. She said that it will an easy task for her to get that."

She said making me doubt more on that girl.

"Okay but what did you find. Did you saw his face...?"

I asked her leaving my suspicions aside as I didn't wanted her to get uncomfortable. Who might want to hear that their best friend is suspicious, without an evidence...?

"He wasn't of our college didi, he was looking like he was twice my age and my best friend told that he could be some intriguer. From what I remember.... I th-i-n-k h-e is the o-ne who r-a-pe-"

Even though her words were sliding, I understood what she wanted to say. After seeing her condition, I immediately stopped her from saying more.

"Shh....I understood now need to say and drink this water and calm down."

After a good 10 minutes when she finally seemed to be calm, I told her to rest on the couch which was in my office's cabin.

After some time when fell asleep, that's when my train of thoughts started running reaching to various places of possibilities.

I think someone in her college is involved in this. If someone wasn't involved then how did he entered the college without anyone seeing him...?
And even after entering how he was able to keep the letter inside her bag without any one noticing him..?

Even if he used to sneak inside the college, then why do college pay to the security...? Just for an intriguer to come inside the college and do such thing to one of their student...? Why her best friend predicted that he was an intriguer..? Why did the college didn't took any precautions even after one of their trustee's daughter saw him and to for whole freaking 1 month..?

All the questions were roaming inside my head and I was trying to find answers for it. My train of thoughts were broken by a light knock on my office door.

It was Vidhika. I saw the sleeping figure of Adhya and told her to sit here to look after her as I wanted to talk with her parents.

I need to find out the deep roots which are hiding in the mystery of the soil. My instincts says, that this cases isn't going to be an easy one.
