I came an hour early for the meeting with the Valentine, my dumbass manager just had to make it a lunch meeting doing things myself works better.

After this, what meeting do I have, I asked looking at my fixed nails which I painted white

it's not a meeting, your mum set an appointment to meet you, she said, my head snapped to her direction, she immediately looked away

Cancel it, I said looking away

But-, One look from me shut her up, she looked at the tablet

Never schedule meetings with any of my family members, I said sternly

Yes miss, she said in a low tone, Finally the so called Valentines came

it's nice to finally meet the one and only Eleonora Santiago, The burette guy said with a smile but smiling was less of my problems right now

And you might be, I asked with a raised eyebrow, not that I cared to know anyways

Adrian Valentine, we were so pleased when we accepted our offer, he said with a wide smile, why was he smiling so much

I never accepted this, my manager did, I said and his smile faded a little

you plan on building a fifteen story building

Yes and that's where you and your team comes designing the building, he said then the other man nodded

What's the building for, I asked

it's a wine company, he said, the waiter came to us but I wanted nothing

If we work together, it could take your company to higher heights,

Your designs are very unique and I'm sure people with be very intrigued to know the architect, he said and I felt offended, he thinks I need his help building my company's fame

how did you know about my company, I asked softly

it wasn't from Columbia right, so don't think I need your company for mine to be recognized

That's not what I'm saying, he said shaking his head lightly, I sat up from my seat

Okay what did you mean, I asked looking directly into his black eyes

I know we didn't know your company through our country but if you work with us it could spread- I cut him off

I think I heard enough, I'm sure you have another meeting, some other place you could waste people's time like you just did with mine, I said carrying my bag, I walked away, my P.A walked behind me, I searched through my bag giving her cash

Get to the company, cancel any appointment I have today, I ordered getting into my car, I drove to my house, I needed to clear my mind, ugh, people were the worst, I got home, HOME, that's not right, home is definitely not a place, a home is with your family, your loved ones but mine just saw the worst in me always blabbering  about how I changed.

Five years ago changed me, It ruined my life and I fucking love the woman I became after that five years, going into my room, I took of my clothes getting into my bathtub, I let the cold water fill it as I was in, I sighed looking up to my white ceiling, suddenly memories of me screaming with blood on my face holding a knife threatening to stab anyone who came closer, it plays in my head like a video clip, I shut my eyes tightly, I could never forget what happen to me in college, falling in love with someone that pretended to love you only to use you at the end, that was something that broke me, I just wanted to die, I slowly got down to the water, I stayed in for a while holding my breath, I  came out taking in air.

When I actually felt relaxed, I came out drying my body with a towel, I dried my hair leaving the bathroom, I got into my closet wearing comfy clothes, I sat on my bed crossing my legs putting on head phones, I listened to the sounds of the oceans, it always calms me down taking me away from this world to a place filled with nothing but me, I closed my eyes for some few minutes, I enjoyed my self, I flinched when I heard banging, it was coming from my room door which I closed.

Eleonora, That was my mum's voice, how did she get in

Oh God, I hope she hasn't hurt herself again, she panicked in a worried tone, why would she come here without my consent

Go away, I said with a frown

Eleonora, oh Thank God, you're okay, open the door, I haven't seen you for a year, please honey, she said, I bent my knees placing my chin on them

Please let me just see you, I know your dad has-, she was saying but I quickly opened the door making her stop talking, she looked just the same, her brown hair was packed in a tight bun, she had little makeup on and was on a black long dress, her green eyes met with mine, she tried touching me but I moved back

What do you want, I asked softly, she got into the room looking around, everything in my room was painted white, every furniture was white, I loved white as a color, it signifies something pure I wanted to feel pure even if it's impossible.

You look so beautiful after this past year, you're finally listening to you're therapist, she said softly with a smile

If you came to talk about that just leave, I said turning my back at her

I'm sorry, I came to see how your doing, she said. I sighed shakily

I'm fine, I'm just the way you all left me, I yelled, she frowned

Calm down, your therapist talked about controlling your anger, she said walking to me

I want to be alone, I said running my fingers through my hair, she left the room, I closed the door sliding to the floor, I stayed in my room for the rest of the day, till it was 5:30 I was getting hungry, I got downstairs smelling something good, I got to the kitchen seeing my mum on an apron

What are you doing, I asked even if I knew

I'm making dinner for you, it's all your favorite, she said with a smile, I sat on the stool when I saw crab cake, I began to dig in not asking for permission what so ever

Calm down, she said pouring a glass of juice placing beside my plate

Don't you have a child that would actually be worth your time, I said, she frowned coming to me she stroked my hair as I continued eating

You're just as important, don't think we hate you after-, I looked at her, she gave me a sad smile, I glared at her then back at my food.
