'Halt' I shout looking at the sky

"Cease for a moment, please.

Let me catch my breath.

Is that dawn I see approaching?

Can't the moon dwell a bit longer?

I'm yet to catch a wink of sleep.

Let me relish this silence some more ,

Before the cacophony of the morning erupts around me.

Oh omnipotent creator!

I need a respite and I need it now.

I have endured much suffering and viles.

I have always listened and obeyed.

I can't take it anymore.

The burden is too heavy on my shoulders.

And it's just a matter of time before I collapse,

On this very ground that I now stand upon.

End this toturous game of yours, oh Lord!

Or find another, for now I call for a respite."
