The Girl and the Bandits
I ran as fast as I could. That's what I've done a lot. I guess that's my hobby, running from people. Especially people with weapons and want my stuff.
Well anyway, I continued running until I found a clearing in the woods. There I saw two men. One had dark hair and a spear. The other had white hair and had a strange arm.
"Look! Two more girls we can take!" One of the robbers yelled. I looked at the bushes and noticed two other people. I ran towards them and his behind them.
"Could you please help me out? Maybe?" The four stared at me for a few seconds before the two men started fighting.
I looked to the other two. The boy had strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes. The girl had a beautiful shade of red hair and purple eyes. I turned my attention to the ones fighting. The white haired one started slashing at the group with his claw. Then the dark haired one joined him with his spear.
"Those guys are absolutely weird.." The boy mumbled. The red head sighed.
"Hak won't let me help." She pouted.
"Want me to help?" The boy asked. I watched as she grabbed her bow. Together, they aimed and managed to hit one of them.
"Good job!" I cheered but soon after that one of the bandits manages to sneak behind us. Before he could take us though, the spear guy killed him.
After checking on the girl to make sure she was okay, they all turned to me.
"Uh.." I frantically bowed to them. "Thank you for helping me get rid of them!" I hurriedly said.
"Who are you?!" The boy yelled.
"Um, I'm just a girl passing through. No one you need to remember." I said.
"Well, would you like to stay for dinner?" The girl asked.
"Princess, I don't think we..... should trust...her.." The claw guy said then collapsed to his knees.
"Kija!" The 'princess' exclaimed.
"I'm sorry, I acted too violently.. I was supposed to display a more refined battle.."
"No," Spear guy interrupted.
"I thought you were good. I've never had anyone that fought on my..... level." Then he also collapsed.
"Hak!" The girl yelled.
"Did he die?" 'Kija' asked.
"HE'S NOT DEAD!" The girl yelled.
"Argh, that idiot reopened his wound!" The boy said.
"Here, let me help." I said.
I knelled down beside him and put my hand on his forehead. I soft, white light emitted from my hand and a few seconds later his wound had nearly healed.
"Wow how did you do that!" The the two who were closer to my age exclaimed.
"Oh.. I might have special healing abilities.." I said, scratching the back of my neck.
"Really? Then why don't you join us! My name is Yona, by the way." The girl said.
"Sure." I replied.
We made sure Hak was set then we started to set up camp.
"Wait, aren't we going to sleep in an inn or something!?" Kija asked.
"No we are sleeping outside." the boy said.
"Wait a second, what was your name again?" I asked him.
"I'm the handsome genius Yun." He proudly said.
"What's yours?" Yona asked.
"Oh it's not important. Call me anything." I said. We finished setting up and then Yun started preparing dinner.
-small time skip-
Yun finished and handed out our portions. I happily dug in as Kija inspected his with disgust.
"What.. is this?" He asked.
"It's dinner." Yun replied.
"THESE ARE JUST WEEDS THAT YOU PICKED OFF THE SIDE OF THE MOUNTIAN!" Kija argued.
"They aren't any old weeds and they are rather nutritious! At least I didn't add bugs." Yun snapped.
"B-bugs...!" Kija stuttered. I laughed.
"The weird claw guy is afraid of bugs?!" I clutched my side and laughed even harder.
"I'M NOT A WEIRD CLAW GUY! I'M THE WHITE DRAGON!!" He yelled. My laughter slowly ceased.
"Wait. You're the White Dragon?" I asked.
"Yes I am!" He said defensively.
'I should have known.. But seriously! I was expecting this really cool guy that I could look up to as my big brother. Not some weird, seemingly spoiled guy who has a fear of bugs...' I sighed. "What a disappointment." I mumbled.
"You already know that the four dragons are real?" Yona asked. I laughed yet again.
"You didn't assume that there were other dragons?" I asked. Yona was taken aback.
"Your a dragon too?" she asked.
"Yes." I stood up and bowed.
"The Brown Dragon, at your service." I said with a smile.
"So since you are also a dragon, that means you can call be big brother!" Kija ran up to me and grabbed my hands.
"Please no.." I said. I walked away and continued to eat my food.
"So Princess, you actually eat this stuff!?" Kija asked.
"Yes, Yun's food is delicious! Also it's not like I have any choice.. Hak's cooking was terrible." She shuddered at the thought.
"What did you say about my cooking?" We all turned to see Hak sitting up. "I couldn't hear you." Yona ran over to him.
"Hak you're awake? How do you feel." "I'm fine. Now, what did you say about my food?" He asked yet again.
"Food? Oh, are you hungry?" I giggled at the sight of the two of them. Yona grabbed a spoon and held in front of his mouth. "Open wide." Hak opened his mouth but before Yona could feed him, Kija took the spoon.
"Princess, let me do this measly task." He said. The two started fighting and I looked over to Yun.
"So, concerning the Blue Dragon's whereabouts.. Can you sense him?" He asked. I closed my eyes and concentrated hard.
"Uh.. somewhere in that direction." I pointed in that direction.
"Wow. So exact." Yun remarked.
"Shut up pretty boy." I mumbled.
Yun looked at his map. "Does he have a village or does he live alone?"
"That, I don't know." Kija walked over to us. "He is supposed to be in the northern part of the country, but I heard that at one point in time the Blue Dragon clan lived in the Earth Tribe. However, it disappeared. The whole clan was unaccounted for."
"Ik-soo did tell me that the other three clans did migrate. Maybe they just moved somewhere else." Yun suggested.
"It seems as though I pointed northeast.." I said.
"That's Fire Tribe territory." Hak informed.
"So if I remember correctly, there are six possible locations." Yun concluded.
"Have you ever been to any of those places?" Hak asked.
"Uh, no. But in this area there is a big city near the capital." He pointed to an area on the map. "Here merchants go back and forth between villages and aristocrats. Other than those, I can only narrow it down to six places where the people are secluded and not many pass through." He explained. Yona smiled and placed her hand on top of his head.
"Wow you really do know everything!" She cheered.
"Could you please not treat me like a little kid? We are one year apart and besides," he looked over to me. "She is the one who is probably the youngest!" Yun angrily remarked. I sighed. 'He is probably right..'
"Okay everyone! Tomorrow we are going to start our search for the Blue Dragon! Good night."
"Wait we are really sleeping outside?!"
"Good night."
"Bu-but wai-"
"Shut up White Snake." I giggled as I listened to everyone go to sleep. "It's not that bad Kija." And with that, I fell asleep.
