Uninvited Guest
Jack's p.o.v
I've been so ungrateful of Ianto. He's helped me cope through all of this. My life is a mess but it's my mess. He shouldn't have to deal with this. That being said, I love him and I'm far too selfish to give him up. But I know he loves me, and there's nothing more I could ask for. Even though we're stuck in a bad situation, our love is stronger than ever. Speak of the devil.
"We're home darling."
Ianto cooed. I love it when he calls me darling. It makes my heart feel like it's going to burst but in a good way.
"Alright. Let's go inside. This time it'll be just us. No distractions, just you and me, loving too much."
"Wow. That was poetic sir."
"I've been telling you every day since we started going out, don't call me sir. You can call me Jack. Do you have some kind of power kink?"
Ianto blushed and looked away a little.
"Of course not. Sorry sir."
He smirked at me. Oh, that little tease. I growled from deep in my throat and lunged at him. I pinned his back against the seat with my entire body, leaning on him in all the right places.
"J-Jack?"
He stuttered, blushing madly. Sometimes it's hard to believe that he could be so innocent. I connected our lips and leaned farther into him.
"I love you Ianto."
I whispered once we pulled away. I pulled a hand up to stroke his pink cheek, then jawline, and finally rubbing my thumb across his pouted bottom lip. We sat in comfortable silence for a while, just starring into each other's eyes, when my phone rang.
"Hello?" I answered.
Jack? Gwen asked.
"Gwen, hi! What's up?"
Can you and Ianto please come over? I made cookies. Shortbread.
"Does it have to be right now? We're kinda busy."
Yeah. It has to be right now. I know how much you like shortbread cookies.
"Um, ok. I'll be there in a minute."
Ok. Sorry to interrupt, I just know that shortbread cookies are you and Ianto's favorites.
"Ok, bye."
I hung up and looked at Ianto. He raised an eyebrow, waiting for an explanation.
"Gwen wants us over. She said she made cookies."
I explained climbing into the passenger seat.
"What kind of cookies?"
He asked. Of course Ianto would only be interested in cookies. The end of the world and he's worried about what kind of cookies Gwen made.
"Shortbread. Start the car."
Ianto started the car and sped out of the parking lot with no regard for pedestrians or the speed limit. He swerved into the road and sped off down the highway towards the Cooper-Williams household.
"Slow down! You're way over the speed limit! We might be immortal but the people we run into aren't!"
I yelled gripping the seat until my knuckles went white. Ianto slowed down to 60 mph but continued to swerve in between busses, trucks, and motorcycles.
"Jack, you said Gwen was making shortbread cookies. Shortbread is Torchwood's official code word for 'I'm being held captive sos'. Remember?"
I mentally face palmed at my ignorance and groaned. Shortbread. To be honest, I did think that there was something fishy going on, but I refused to let myself think like that. I gestured to Ianto to continue faster.
After about five minutes we arrived at the house. I grabbed my gun from the glove compartment and slid it into the back of my waistband, covering the end with my trench coat.
Ianto did the same and stepped out of the car. "Remember. They don't know that we know they're there. Act natural." I whispered. He nodded and gave a small smile.
We got to the door and rung the bell. "Come in." Gwen choked. I opened the door into the living room, pulling out my gun and pointing at the head of the man closest to the others.
"Drop your weapons, hands behind your head on your knees!" I shouted. Over on the couch Gwen and her mum were tied up and gaged. Gwen was completely calm while her mother on the other hand was a crying mess.
"Give me your gun and go untie them." I told Ianto. He removed the gun from one of the intruders' head and handed it to me, clicking on the safety. I appreciated the concern but immediately turned it off. A gun with the safety on isn't going to scare anyone.
"Gwen where's the baby." I asked. Now I had one two guns and could cover all but one intruder. "She's with Rhys hiding in the basement." Gwen sighed. "I'll get them." Ianto jogged towards the basement.
No more than two minutes later, the others come upstairs. Anwen was fast asleep in Rhys' arms. From the corner of my eye I saw the one man who didn't have a gun to his head try to reach back and grab a gun.
"Gwen." I warned. She grabbed the gun before he could and pointed it at him. "Alright. I'm going to phone the others. We could use some back up.
Ianto's p.o.v
I pulled out my mobile and stepped into the corridor. I dialled the number and put the phone to my ear. It rung twice before Esther picked up.
"Hey, what's up?" She asked. "We've got intruders, where are you guys?" She was silent for a moment. "We've been out looking at possible sites for a new base but we'll be right there. Where are you?" I could tell that she was starting to run now. "Gwen's." I replied then hung up.
I rejoined them in the lounge where all three men were now tied up, two of which were gagged. "Alright talk." Jack ordered at the one who appeared to be the leader.
"Over my dead body!" He spat. "That can be arranged." Jack replied, using the butt of his gun to smack him across the face. "Jack. Stop!" I cried. I couldn't stand it when he gets violent.
"What?" He asked, turning towards me. "Can we at least wait for the others?" I pleaded. "Sure fine." He sighed,
(A/N I'm back baby! Sorry for the slow updates. School stuff. I'll try to update soon.)
