I knew that sound. I know why it happened and who it belonged to. Gwen is now immortal. I looked over and sure enough, Gwen was sitting upright on the cot, breathing heavily. Her eyes were wide with shock and her face was drained of any color. She was obviously terrified. Rhys was the first one to get up. He jumped up and ran to the cot, squeezing her small frame till she couldn't breathe. The others followed soon after. Everyone was so caught up in their reunion to notice the real danger and horror of the situation. They couldn't die. Sure, Owen and Toshiko had each other, as did Ianto and I, but what about Gwen? She had a mortal husband and daughter. What about them? I don't want Gwen to go through the same thing I went through with Alice. She is a mother, a wife. This couldn't happen to her, it just couldn't. I have to find some way to stop it.

Ianto's p.o.v

GWEN IS ALIVE! It's been hours and Jack and I are back at the hotel now, BUT SHE IS ALIVE! I have no clue how that happened, or how she died from a simple weevil attack. Owen said cardiac arrest, but I don't know. I didn't even know she got struck by the heart. Anyway, Jack is currently sitting on the couch not talking to me. I guess it has something to do with Owen, Toshiko, and now Gwen coming back to life as well as myself. Something is off about him. His silence isn't angry or panicked. Not stressed or afraid, just brooding. It's so weird. He's never done something like this before. I return to the couch with a tablet of coffee. Coffee always helps him clear his mind. He still won't say anything. He won't even touch his coffee. I don't know why. Gwen's resurrection was a good thing, right?

"Jack you need to talk to me. This whole suffer in silence thing doesn't work on me and you know that. Have some coffee and tell me what's going on." He sighed and picked up the coffee.

"I just don't understand it. How can this happen? How does anyone or anything have the power for this?" I really had no explanation. This was all just so crazy.

Just then the doorbell rang, saving me from having to answer that question. I got up, signaling to Jack that I'd just be a minute. It was probably just room service. I was about to tell them that we don't need them, but instead I was greeted by a familiar face. But unlike the last time I saw this face, it was the face of a thirteen year old instead of a six year old. This face belongs to Jack's 'nephew' aka his grandson Steven.
