Olivia's POV:

It has been 3 years since Elliot left this unit. It was really hard at first when Cragen told me Elliot had put his papers in, he was my partner for 12 years. When he left without saying goodbye, it really hurt.I developed feelings for Elliot over the timespan of our partnership at SVU, but I knew we would only ever be friends, because he was marred to Kathy and they had kids together. He never made the effort to contact me, I thought that he would at least try to maintain our friendship, but I was wrong. I have not heard from him since he left. I remember the day Cragen told me like it was yesterday, the emotions I felt still fresh in my mind.

*FLASHBACK*

"Liv, come here." Cragen called. I put down my paper work and got up out if my desk heading towards his office. I walked in and he shut the door behind me. He walked behind his desk and there was silence until he broke it.

"Elliot put in his papers." He told me with a sympathetic look on his face. Cragen knew my feelings for Elliot.

My heart broke into a million pieces, he was my parter for 12 years, my best friend, the person I went to first when I was going through something, and it wasn't just that, I love him. I was just staring at Cragen in disbelief.

"I'm sorry Liv." He added.

I walked out of the office not even knowing where I was going.

"Liv, do you want to go out to lunch with us?" Fin asked motioning towards Munch. I walked straight past them and went into a interrogation room, I closed the door and leaned against it, I lost it I started crying and I couldn't stop.

*FLASHBACK OVER*

I have a new partner now, his name is Nick Amaro, he is a nice guy, and a dedicated cop. We have each other's backs in and out of the field and we are a great team. We also have a new girl now, her name is Amanda Rollins, we are really good friends, I was excited when I found out that I wasn't going to be the only girl in this unit anymore. Amanda and I make an effort to hang out when we have time off. We try and go to lunch or get coffee about once a couple weeks. I heard that we were going to have a new guy since we have had such huge case loads lately. I heard from Cragen that he has experience in police work. I can't wait to meet him, this unit is like a family so getting another detective is like adding another family member. We all have each others' backs and work together quite well. I am curious to see how the new guy takes the cases we get, not everybody can handle what we see.

I was working on finishing some paperwork from the last case we finished when Cragen came out of his office and addressed me.

"Liv, there is a vic at Bellview, take Amaro and go talk to her." Cragen said.

I nodded and grabbed my coat and headed out with Amaro. I got into the passenger seat while Amaro got into the driver's side. After we both got in and put our seat belts on, Amaro started the car and drove to the hospital. Once we got to the hospital, we got out to talk to the victim. I went up to the front desk and asked where she was, I flashed my badge and she told me her room number.

"Hello, I'm Olivia, I want to ask you a few questions, is that ok?" I ask the girl, she looks to be about 16, she has blonde hair and green eyes.

"Yes." She replied. I could tell she was still in shock over the whole thing. I noticed she had a brace on her wrist, and had bruises on her face, neck and arms

"What's your name?" I asked her.

"Lacey Williams, I'm 16." She replied.

"Can you tell me what happened?" I ask her.

"I was walking home with my friend Savannah Bryant, and I thought someone was following us, but I turned around and didn't see anything so I continued waking, then out if nowhere this guy grabs me and puts me into his van and takes me to a motel, he raped me in the motel room and then dumped me into some park. I think I passed out, because the last thing I remember was him pushing me out of the van, next thing I know I woke up here in the hospital." She said starting to cry.

"It's ok Lacey, we're going to do everything we can to get the guy who did this to you, I promise." I said. I went through my coat pocket and when I found one of my cards and handed it to her.

"If you need anything at all, please do not hesitate to call me." I said pointing at the number on my card.

"I won't. Thank you Olivia." She said hugging me. We left the hospital and went to the precinct. When we got back into the squad room I noticed that everybody crowded around somebody, I assumed that it was the new guy. From what I could see, he was about 6 foot tall, muscular build, and had shorter brown hair. It was hard to tell though since everybody was blocking him. I started walking over and everyone turn and look at me, with a worried expression. I was confused until the new guy turned around. Anger and so many other emotions flooded through my body all at once overwhelming me. He smiled at me and started to walk towards me. My emotions got the best of me, when he got close enough to me I lifted my hand and it made contact to his cheek. I was surprised I did that, but I was overwhelmed with so many different emotions. I ran to another room because I needed to calm down. The new guy was none other than my old partner, Elliot Stabler.

A/N: This chapter is longer than it was before, I added more detail and fixed the wording on some things. I think it sounds better than it did before.
