After taking a break (and doing some cutting XD) they all went back to their usual seats where they will listen to the next duet.

"Now that we are finish,let us start the next one,shall we?" Akashi said as he lifted his hand,calling the next duo who will perform.

With a bruise and a small lump on the head,Aomine nodded,still trembling with fear. Beside him was Kagami,who looked exactly like him with the bruise and the small lump on his head.

Kuroko nodded and started to walk towards the recording room. "C'mon,Aomine-kun." He drag Aomine with him.

"So,what's the title of their song?" Asked Kise.

"First is 'Hikari to Kage no Kyori' then the next will be 'Ray of Shine'" Akashi answered.

"I see..." he focused his eyes on the two boys inside the recording room who are getting ready. Then he noticed someone mumbling behind him. He slowly turned to see who it was. It was Kagami,giving deathly glares to Aomine.

'I see someone's getting jealous here.' he grinned slyly back infront.

They clapped their hands as the two went out of the recording room.

"That was fantastic!" Kise cheered.

"Incredible! Dai-chan! Youre great.!" Momoi said.

From the back side of the room,Kagami's phone rang. He fished his phone out of his pocket and answered the call. It was from his mom.

"Uhh...Mom?"

"Taiga,my dear! You need to come home quickly!"

come home? What?!

"Your dad is in the hospital right now." His mother said as she sobbed. "The doctors said his life wouldn't be that long anymore. "

Kagami paused. He felt something building up from his chest. He's sad, because of course of his father. Sad because...he's going back to America earlier than the said date!

"W-What do you mean? What happened?" He asked.

His mother sniffed. "He got a heart attack when we were eating. Then we rushed him to the hospital and then this happened. His life is already counting down."

No! That's impossible! He was strong and we know it. He can't be dying now! This is not happening!

"Please come home dear. We need you. Your father needs you. We will be waiting for you until tomorrow."

"Tomorrow?!"

"Yes... look,we know you still want to stay there,but you really need to go back here."

"But..." he thought better of it...His father is already dying. He needs him. But he dont want to leave Kuroko without Kuroko remembering him. Them. Now that hope is already in front of him,his father is dying. Ruining the said hope for the boy's memories. But it's rude to say that his father's illness is ruining his time with Kuroko. So he answered what is the best,even though it will hurt him. And Kuroko. "...yes mom... I'm coming home tomorrow."

"Thank you dear." His mom thanked him.

And with that,he ended the call.

Kagami's POV

After that conversation with mom,anger and sadness filled me. Why are these things happening to me? How am I supposed to tell Kuroko this?

I sat on the couch. I was filled with thoughts. The others were crowding around Kuroko and Aomine,leaving me behind,staring at the floor.

"Oi! Kagami!" I lifted my face to see captain calling me. "What are you doing there? Why are you alone? Don't you wanna tell Kuroko and Aomine how great they were?"

I shook my head. "I...I was getting dizzy. But I'm okay. I'm fine. And yes,they were great. Could you please give me some time to breathe some fresh air outside?"

He nodded and pat my shoulder. "Okay. Call us if something's wrong."

"Yes,captain."

I hurriedly went outside of the building. Of course I lied. I went outside so I can think properly.

But first,I'm thirsty. I headed to the vending machine near me and bought a soda. I opened it and drank half of it. I wiped some remaining soda from my mouth. I found a bench near me and sat on it. I returned thinking on how I should do things properly. Like how am I going to tell Kuroko about this.

"Kagami-kun" I jerked as I heared his voice calling me. I turn around to see him making his way towards me.

"W-What are you doing here?" Did he follow me here?

"I asked Hyuuga-senpai where you are and he said that you were getting dizzy and you like to breathe some fresh air." He said as his face turned into a worried one.

"Uhh...really? I-I mean... yes yes...I feel dizzy. But I'm fine now." I gave him a fake smile.

He frowned at me. "Kagami-kun. I can sense that you're lying."

Now what? He sensed me. "No...Really. I'm okay. I'm fine."

"Kagami-kun,you are always there when I need someone to help me. You always do your best to help me,especially when it comes to regaining my memories." he sat right next to me. "And...and I want to return that favor to you. Please...if you have anything going on in your mind right now,I will be here to lend you my ears. I will be listening."

I can feel myself blushing at his statement. Man,I don't know what to do anymore. Should I tell him the truth now or should I lie again and make him believe those lies? But I have lied to him a while ago. And I lied to him when we were at the hospital.

"I will never leave a Kuroko Tetsuya alone. Keep that in mind"

Oh shit! I remembered I promised to him! I know Kuroko. He will never forget that promise and I know until now,he's still believing that. I can't just ruin that promise I made and leave him alone like that. But I dont want to lie anymore. I dont want to add the guilt I have been feeling after that promise. I want to tell him already...but how? I'm not good at this.

"Uhh...Kuroko...I have something to tell you."

Normal POV

"Uhh...Kuroko...I have something to tell you." Kagami nervously said as he kept staring at the ground.

Kuroko tilted his head. "Yes,Kagami-kun? I will listen." He smiled assuringly.

"Uhh...you see...Urghh..." He groaned. "I...my father's in the hospital right now. In America. He had a heart attack last night and they brought him to the hospital. The doctors said that my father wont live any longer now. His life is already starting its own countdown. And..."

"You need to go back to America?" Kuroko gaped.

Kagami looked away. He nodded silently.

There was a pause until Kuroko started to talk again. "So...when are you going to fly to America?"

"Tomorrow." His bangs started to cover his eyes.

Kuroko looked at the ground. He widen his eyes. "W-when are you going back here?"

"That,I still have no clue."

Kuroko's eyesight is getting blurry. He can feel himself almost bursting into tears any moment now. "Then you are going to continue your studies there,won't you?"

Kagami nodded again.

"Uhmm...Kagami-kun... I.." He heaved out a sigh. "Did you remember when your phone rang yesterday at your house? When you told me to answer it for you? And i told you that it's only a wrong call from an unknown person? Well...it's a lie."

Kagami's eyes widen as he listened to him. What does he mean by that?

"It...It was... a wrong call from an unknown person. He said the number he had typed was wrong."

"It's a call from your mother."

Kagami gaped. "Dont tell me you..."

"Yes... I already know that you are going back to America. But I didn't know that you're going back there tomorrow. What I know is next year."

Kagami immediately stood up. "Why didn't you tell me you already know about it?!"

"Because........I dont know! I..I dont know why I hid the truth." Kuroko shouted back at him.

"You shoud've told me! So I could explain this things to you!"

"I should have told you? YOU should have told me. You lied to me." water almost forming in his eyes. But he kept calm. "And that promise..."

"I will never leave a Kuroko Tetsuya alone. Keep that in mind"

"You...you made me believe that fake promise. I... until now,I still believe that promise... I kept holding on to that promise to make myself strong. Everytime I feel weak, your words always make me smile and those words gave me strength to continue myself living in this world even though I have amnesia. Because I know,when I need someone's help,I know I can call you,because I know you will never leave me. I trusted your words. But now..."

"Look Kuroko,I-Im sorry..."

"I surely wish your sorry would do something."

"I knew I have lied."

"Then you could've had stopped yourself from telling me that. If you knew that will hurt me in the end,then you'll do what is right."

"I don't know anything more to say just to calm you down at that moment! At that moment,after I have realized what I have said,guilt started to build up inside me. I felt guilty."

"Of course,you should be." Kuroko took a deep breath and sighed. "Now you are going to leave me. And I will be left here alone."

"Oi! Kagami,Kuroko! C'mon! It's time for your next song,Kuroko!" Riko called them as she waved her arms up high and ran to them. The two of them nodded at her. "Let's go." she walked first as the two of them walked behind her. "What were you two talking about anyway,talking about it outside for some privacy"

"nothing." Kagami replyed seriously.

Kuroko nudged him and then whispered to him. "We will talk about this later. After Aomine-kun and I sing our song. You're not going home now aren't you? To pack your things maybe?"

He blushed but then whispered back. "N-no..."

"good."

"What are you two mumbling to each other?"

"Nothing!" The two boys sweatdropped.

They reached the room where the others are and saw Aomine who was already inside the recording room.

"There you are Tetsuya. Please hurry and make your way beside Daiki." Akashi said.

Kuroko apologized as he made his way beside his duet partner.

"Aomine-kun,it is very rude to call others with such nicknames." he scolded him.

"That song suits both of them,don't you think? Eh,Kagamicchi?" Kise nudged the boy beside him who was focusing his eyes only to Kuroko. Then every time Aomine's going to sing his part of the song,he would give him a glare.

"Why Kagamicchi? Is something wrong? Are you okay? Or...are you getting jealous?" He whispered the last part. The last part sent shivers to Kagami's spine.

"Shut up!"

"So it's true,then?" Kise giggled.

"No it's not!"

"Why with that blush?"

"Huh? I'm not blushing!"

"Yes you are"

"W-why do you even know that?!"

"Because you're pretty stupid hiding your feelings towards Kurokocchi." He smirked. "If I were you,I'll tell him as soon as possible what I truly feel before it's too late." He gestured his finger,waving it back and forth.

"I know." he grumbled as he once again focused his sight to Kuroko.

Kise smirked proudly. 'I knew it... That was a trick. I'm so happy for them' He giggled inwardly.

"At last it's over..." Kagami mumbled under his breath as he walked with the crowd towards the two boys.

"Man, singing with Tetsu was great!" Aomine said as he smiled at Kuroko.

"yes,Aomine-kun. I had fun,too. Thank you so much for singing with me."

"So...did I helped you recall some of your memories?"

Kuroko paused.

"Tetsu,It's time for me and you to shine."

"What? A popsicle? Why did you put it at my back? Now I'm all sticky!"

"I'm happy to see you again,Tetsu"

"Thank you Aomine-kun. I can recall some of it." He smiled at him.

"I'm very glad then." Aomine smiled back.

"Very good,Daiki,Tetsuya." Akashi clapped his hands.

"Now,who's next?" Momoi asked.

Akashi landed his eyes to the red haired seirin. Kagami felt his spine tingling and sweat starts to trickle down his jaw.

"It's Kagami-kun's turn to sing with Tetsuya." Akashi smirked.

"REALLY?!" Kise and Riko's eyes beamed.

"Why,yes. Since Kagami-kun is Tetsuya's partner in court..or even outside I suppose,of course he gets to sing with him. They were very close after all before the accident happened. And he took great good care of him for me..."

"I didn't do that for you...tch" Kagami grumbled.

"What is that Kagami-kun?" Akashi raised his eyebrows.

"N-nothing..."

"Good..."

Kagami gulped.

"As I was saying,it would be very rude of me to not give them time to sing with each other. I do not want to be selfish and greedy when it comes to Tetsuya. I just want to do what is best for him. And that is to help him recall his memories. It would shock you to know that I did not make any song for me and Tetsuya to sing."

Everybody gasped.

"Akashicchi...you're not going to sing with Kurokocchi?"

"No Ryouta. Anyway,before we start,let us again take a break. And then go back to were we stopped."

They nodded and proceeded to the table where the cookies and biscuits and some chips are located.

Kagami, with his mouth widely open,got a nudge from Kuroko. He quickly closed his mouth and turn to the one who nudged him.

"C'mon Kagami-kun. I told you that we are going to continue our conversation after we sing. Then explain things to me." Kuroko said as he showed eagerness in his eyes.

Kagami nodded and followed him outside.
