"Maybe they went to go get Smith?" That's the first thing that comes to mind. Something feels wrong though. "I think we should go back and see. You can grab some of your things, too." 

Duncan looks down as if just now realizing he has nothing with him. "Oh, yea. Alright."

After screwing a bit with the rocket, we make our way back. 

Duncan points out which room is the Sirs and heads off to his room. Lewis is nowhere to be seen. 

I knock on the door and it swings open almost instantly. "Come in." 

I step past the shortest member of HAT and into the clutter of their room. There is trash and clothes everywhere. Smith is sitting on the bed with his head in his hands, Ross sitting next to him rubbing his back.

"Hello, Ridge," Smith mumbles. 

"Hi Smith. Duncan and I were talking, and we are going to try and find the real Earth. It is going to take a while, but if you want, you can come with us." 

"Really? And you would be okay with us tagging along?" Trott asks. "And I'm sorry about you and Lewis."

"I wouldn't mind at all." I say nothing about Lewis. "Duncan's packing, so if you guys want to come, I would advise doing the same." 

Trott nods. "Alright, we will meet you outside in ten minutes." I nod and leave. 

I walk down the hall towards Duncan's room. But as I'm walking, Lewis pops up out of nowhere and I run into him. 

"Sorry," We both say before realizing who it is. 

"Ridge, could we talk for a minute?" I stand there and stare at him, thinking.

"You have three minutes." We step into the commons room and Lewis motions toward the couch. He sits down and pats the seat next to him. I take a seat across the room from him. "Talk."

"Simon and I were trying to find a parallel universe where everything was perfect, where we could never die. This is the closest we've come so far. We age half as fast as we would back on Earth. Every planet we've been to its been us, but different. Like on Minecraftia, Simon is actually a dwarf that goes by the name Honeydew. When you bring Duncan back to Minecraftia with you, Lalna will come to this planet." 

"So when I return, there will be another Lewis?" 

"There should be, if I am correct. But he will be slightly different. He might not be in love with you like I am."

I try and blink the tears away. "Is this goodbye, forever? The Xephos back home will never be you. I will never feel this way about him, even if we spend the rest of his days together, I could never love him like I love you." 

"Maybe someday I will return. If I ever find a place where I can live forever, I will come find you and we can be together forever. But for now, this is goodbye." I stand up and leave, but pause in the doorway.

"Goodbye, thank you for the best five years of my existance."
