Chapter Five

Chapter Five:
Italy:
I watched as the sun rise and set before me, the swishing of the branches and cooling air rising, and sinking as light touches upon my country. The silhouette shades clanked on the glass windows as they awakened me from another slumber that was from probably from a different reality - a different reality called my life.
"Italy-San, you have been awake for hours..." said a small voice, "You should go back to sleep, for the good of your health I think its best if you-"
"No." I cut him off guard.
I turned around and faced him with a sick and miserable look. The pain, the suffering, and the deafening reminders of a man I once loved made me look as if I had died and risen as a zombie. The company of having Japan to worrying of these conditions only hardens me more and breaks me as the sore loser I am and to everyone else. I haven't slept, ate, or even gone to the bathroom in at least 72 hours...the same time when Germany got sick all because of my nightmare.
The same nightmare that still very much haunts my dreams every time I close my eyes - the boy in dark clothing was once of a tale that was to never be mentioned again for the sake of my will, and now it comes back to haunt me once more.
"I can't let you do that Japan." I said to him with the tears that were barely even noticeable with how much burning...how much intensity is put on my own heart and mind. Even the thought of such brings me to forcefully weep out without exhaustion. I didn't believe that I could ever possibly in my whole life--cry this badly, but this is what a loss feels like, am I right?
"Oh Italy..." He mumbles to himself as he sees how broken I am. He walks over towards me from where I was cornered off in my own bedroom, but I cut him off.
"P-Please..." I stuttered, "Don't come any closer...I am a wreck for both you and for Germany. This is all my fault...I shouldn't have brought you here..." I raised a weak arm at him to stop him from getting any closer to hug or to do whatever Japanese tricks he had on his sleeves. I couldn't take it anymore; I just wanted to be alone...Just for now.
Japan sighs and goes for his instincts. "Italy, you haven't eaten in days. You have to eat sooner or later." He pulls me onto my feet and looks me dead in the eyes. "I am serious; Germany would have done the same if he was in my shoes right now."
"B-But..." I raised a slow finger at him.
"But what?"
"Germany is unconscious..."
Japan slowly let go of me and looked away. My feet felt as if they were about to collapse and I quickly grabbed onto something to not make me fall.
"No, you're wrong..." He looks back at me; his dark eyes were swollen with sadness, and his small hope was shining through his eyes. "He is getting better, and I know this for sure. You just have to wake up Italy! Wake up!" He shouts.
I didn't or not believe it, but...I was actually asleep...
For the first time...in days...I slept...
The sun crept from the kitchen window; its rays - poking out from the shades as it glistened onto the mahogany floors, the air smelled of melted cheese and smoked bacon, and the continues grumbles of my stomach - made me smile. The old smile of an old Italian used to wear on his face...and that person was me.
"Ah Italy-San, you are awake finally!" The Japanese turned around, holding a spatula in his hand.
I yawned and stretched out from my seat. "I guess I am!" I smiled happily.
The Japanese man chuckled and patted my head lightly. "I'm glad you are getting better." He hands me a large plate, more or less like ones used in giant buffet restaurants. But besides the plate, the smell of the food was what caught me off guard. "I also made this for you."
"Ve~Thank you Japan! You didn't have to though." I perked up, taking the plate off his hands without even looking at the food. I crunched and munched away the emptiness I held for so long, the loneliness drifting away, and companionship and happiness bubbling inside.
"Oh, but I had to. I mean, I knew you were going to wake up sooner or later." He slowly smiles as he pulls up a chair next to me.
"You did?" I looked up, having a mess on my face.
"Yes and how is because of this-"He pulls out a cute little doll of what looked like a girl in a green maiden's uniform. "I found this in your attic and I felt something from it...like it was calling me."
I took it from him carefully and tugged at the doll's dress. It's funny, because I could also feel something from it too...in fact, the doll reminds me of something...maybe even someone...but why can't I picture it? I shrugged the thought out of my head and handed the doll back to Japan.
"Keep it; you never know when more good luck comes." I smiled at him.
"Alright Italy." He stuffs the doll into his pocket and continues eating his breakfast: oatmeal.
I guess today was just another lucky day for me, but something tells me in the back of my head that there was soon more to come, and I feared it would be Japan's breakfast.
England:
The past few nights, everyone has come and gone out from their breaks to visit their own countries. It's sad to say that everyone couldn't meet up after about three days since the incident of me seeing the Axis Powers fall between their own finger tips. I know for sure our past with World War Two and our recent encounters haven't gone with the best of luck, but maybe today could be another story.
I took a sip out of my warm earl grey tea and read through the latest news on Italy. It was nothing but bizarre weather patterns and frequent splash zones, killing hundreds of people. It's not only Italy, but also Germany as well. I small smirk reached upon my lips as I read the fancy lettering. The days were just getting better and better on my account.
"England? Are you talking to yourself again," chuckled the Frenchman from behind, "Or should I say it's the fairies again?" He questions.
"Oh don't get your underarms in a twist, it's about something important now, and fairies do exist!" I snarled at him.
"Right...Right, okay bushy eyebrows, what is it?" He sighs and pulls up a chair close to me.
"The Axis Powers are collapsing and Japan is the only one left standing. I thought maybe since we have the chance-that maybe we could finally end their little charades for good." I smirked evilly.
The Frenchman tapped his finger onto his chin in thought. "And what do we get in return?"
"Revenge and more land."
France grins at how well planned I came up with this. It wasn't hard actually, I mean, I was the best in the British Force in my past; why not use my old abilities now?
"I like what you are thinking England, but they will know it is us playing tricks on them." Appeared the Chinese man from the kitchen.
I jumped from my seat a little shocked but smiled, seeing it was only China. "It won't be us who they will be up against."
"Then...who?"
"You'll see..." I took out a pen and paper and began to write what was in my thoughts:
Hello me,
Or should I even call you that?
I wish to speak with urgent news on the Axis Powers of our realm. This is a once in a life time opportunity for both players of the Allies to defeat the trio that has caused so much destruction. I know this may sound like it's something that could be a waste of time, but trust me it's not. We have a plan and it might just work with a little help.
As soon as you get this message, come immediately to us about a few blocks away from the Italian Estate.
That is all we are asking,
Arthur
((So, this is Chapter 5, and I know I haven't written any sooner. I'm kind of a little sick but I could manage. I mean, I wrote over 1,000 words. This is like a record!!! I can't wait to write more of this! This is probably going to drive me insane but I did it because I want to ACTUALLY finish something for once. So, here you go! Another chapter made by me!! But dedicated to all the people who helped me from my writer's block!!
