Chapter 7 Egg

Sue-Anne's view continued.

I awoke the next day, again in Kell's arms, this time I woke to feeling strangely content. I could quite happily stay in his arms the rest of the day. Kell was still sound asleep, his long dark hair draping his body in an appealing way. I trailed my hands down his body falling short of his manroot.
I looked at it, hesitant to touch it, I wanted to but I was afraid. Afraid I would start something I might not be able to stop. It was then I realised that Kell was awake and looking at my indecision.

"Still not ready?" Kell murmured to me, "That's ok. I told you I would go as fast or slow as you want. If you want to touch me touch me. I won't mind, as it is I am addicted to every little touch you give me."

I really was torn, I wanted to touch it and see what it felt like, but I just did not feel right about it.

Kell sighed, "Let's try this." and rolled away from me so his back was against my front.

I had no issues then in feeling him up. Kell clearly enjoyed it but eventually my curiosity ceased and I just hugged him from behind leaving his manroot be. Kell sighed and fell back to sleep until it was time for us both to get up. Garvan had planned on us leaving to go to the Dwarven mound that day. It was a week and a half trip from what he told us the night before we still had 3 days of the Drow outlands to travel through before we got to the portal that the Redfern's came through on. We might get to the dwarven mound faster depending on how the politics go at the portal.

Garvan would have to jump through hoops there to be allowed to continue. I had no doubt he would succeed. I was astonished to see that he had not touched a drop of alcohol since we had met. I could have sworn I had been told he liked to drink.

I hugged Rachel and Kalavan good bye. Rachel whispered in my ear, "You know, you and Kell look almost exactly like Susan and Kai when they were alive."

"Thanks!" I said, I could not think of a greater compliment as I always thought the pictures I saw of Susan was that she was beautiful. I could only imagine that Kai was as pretty as Kell. Yes I am using the word pretty. I already explained why earlier.

"I hope you find what you are looking for!" Rachel continued on.

"I am not looking for anything," I replied.

"You are," Rachel corrected me "Or you would not have come to the fae."

"But I have all I need," I objected.

Rachel just smiled and waved us off.

"What was that about?" Garvan asked as we rode away.

"No idea," I replied staring off into the distance.

The next few days journey was filled with getting to know each other small talk where I learned Garvan had been raised as Tyvan and Elizabeth's son, despite being born to Susan and Corvan. He had no idea that they were not his parents until 5 years ago. He had spent 5 years with Coran learning from him and he described that time as the happiest 5 years of his life.

Ahelee he had looked after as a baby with his own well what he thought was his own sister, turns out his sister was his cousin and his cousin was his sister.  Ahelee was raised by DebraLee once she was weaned and taught the way of the Priestess from a very young age.

I could tell by the way he talked about Ahelee that he loved her and when I asked him, he clammed up and would not talk anymore except about the landscape we passed through. Pointing out interesting fauna and flora. I wondered what happened to Kell later, but it was clear we would get no more out of him. Garvan was very morose company that night. Kell and I chose to turn in early as a result, sleeping on the mats that Kalavan had provided us with seeing we came across with nothing.

We arrived at the watering hole where we would be staying a few days, to find another shanty town set up. Kell and I were given a tent and shown around the area by Evan. Evan was surprised to meet another of the Torbrok family, especially one from the human world. We had only just caught Evan. He was about to move on, but as we were family, he decided to stay and show us around while Garvan jumped through hoops.

Evan was a friendly drow. I would not have thought him one as he had taken after Rachel in every way except for his hair. He had his fathers long silver hair. In other words, Evan looked human, 100%  human, even I had more of a drow's coloring then he did. I wondered at that.

Kell thought it might be because Kalavan was obsessed with humans and the obsession ended when he married Rachel. I thought it unlikely though, only one person would know - God, and I did not think I would have the opportunity to meet God to ask. At least not while I was still curious as to why.

Evan took us up to this amazing waterhole overlooking the whole area and left us there. I do not think he did it to be mean, but rather so we could clean ourselves and our things in privacy. Evan had told us that only Royals knew of this waterhole and to be careful on the way back not to let anyone see us come down wet.

Kell and I started cleaning our clothes. Kell was feeling particularly useless at it as he had never had to clean clothes before but he was helping me with my clothes. All the ones I had been given so far on this trip. We were sitting there side by side when a strange feeling came over me. It was like I was hearing a voice say, "Come find me! I need you to find me!"

So I got up totally ignoring Kell and his, "Where are you going? Don't leave me with this!"

"You will be fine," I say patting his head and going towards where I thought the voice was coming from.

"I will not be fine..." he muttered crankily but continued trying to wash these clothes. He was clearly at a loss but continued rubbing the fabric together in the water with soap-root. When he was satisfied he hung the item on the line we had set up between two trees that was in the sun.

I, however, had disappeared by then. I was heading up closer to the dragonback mountain. It was called that as it looked like a dragon sleeping. I went to where it looked like a claw had formed a cave and the cave was filled with cobwebs. The voice, I was sure, came from that cave. But I did not know how that was possible when the only entrance available was covered. I found a branch that I could weave the spiderwebs onto so I could enter the cave.

Thankfully the light continued into the cave and I did not need a light source. The cobwebs continued for about 10 meters before coming to an abrupt halt. It came to a circular room, there was no dust or dirt in this room, only a beautiful aqua green egg. It looked like an exquisite jewel sitting there.

"YES!" the egg seemed to say to me, "Now take me with you."

Not thinking at all, I did as the egg asked and took it out to Kell.

"Look what I found Kell," I said to him happily.

"Are you sure taking it is a good idea? What about it's mother?" Kell worried.

"I do not think the mother is alive, judging by the state I found the entrance to the cave in," I comforted him, "But I wonder what it is."

"I do not know, I have never heard of such eggs," Kell agreed with me, "We should ask Garvan."

I had the overwhelming urge to swim naked with Kell then so I suggested it, "Lets swim Kell!" and I stripped off.

Kell was clearly puzzled as to what I wanted as he sat still clad in his trousers on the waters edge.

"Come in Kell, the water is beautiful and I would be offended if you wore anything in such a nice watering hole." I figured that was enough of a hint for him to take, and he did get it. He smiled and stripped off. Diving in after me. We swam around chasing each other coming together to hug and kiss. I could feel his want of me between my legs  and I could not help but encourage it. We did not make love there, instead, eventually we hopped out and got dressed again after we dried off in the sun. Me tucked under his arm like I would have been had he been a horse, this time his fingers were weaving magic spells on me cementing my desire for him to take me, but still I did nothing.

I picked up the egg, and Kell our clothes and we headed back to the campsite. Garvan met us about halfway down. "Oh good, you weren't lost." he commented and looked at me strangely.

"Do you know what type of egg this is Garvan?" I asked him.

"No I do not, the only person I know who might is Glorifrir the Sage. Originally I would have said Tyvan but he is too busy for research now. I will introduce you when we get to the dwarven mound." Garvan said.

"Thanks Garvan," I said and ran my hand suggestively down his arm.

Why I did that I have no idea, but when we got back to camp Garvan pulled Kell aside and said quietly to him, "Kell, I think Sue has been charmed. Be careful with her ok?"

I did not hear what else as I was livid. I was too busy being angry to hear. How dare Garvan think I had been charmed someway!

We spent dinner with Garvan and Evan.  Kell retired early as he was worn out from the unfamiliar activities we had gotten up to that day. I followed not long afterwards as I could not handle how I was feeling around Garvan.
