Chapter 13 Tricked

The following 8 months flew by. I found myself on Glory's doorstep once a month, needing to be with the little man. I did not understand it myself, but Kell seemed to understand and chase me off to see Glory the 23rd of every month.

It was the week before I had the child that I found myself needing both Kell and Glory. Glory was use to this, apparently, and he took me to the room where he use to sleep with his former wife and one of her other husbands. "Let's just sleep together? OK?" Glory asked, not at all bothered by the fact I had never slept like this. "I won't do anything with you, I can't. I just can't."

I wondered at his reluctance, but he kept to his word, he slept next to me but did not touch me in anyway. Kell was the same. Kell said he just felt weird with the thought of making love to me with another man present.

The dragon in this time was becoming bothersome. Constantly on my belly, telling the baby to come out. I guess it would have been September in the real world when my baby finally decided to make an appearance.

Tannin Rahab Torbrok was born 9th September 2222. The dragon named him. Glory and I were amazed at the perfect looking little boy. Jezebel was no help saying things like, "Of course he is perfect, he is my partner after all."

"Shush Jezebel! He is just a baby, let him be that!" I would scold her.

"He maybe a baby, but he is my partner! We have a work to do in the human world!" She would rebutt me. I would worry then as to what this work might entail, she would never say even when asked.

Glory and I drew closer with the birth of Tannin, so much so that I no longer treated him differently to Kell. I had come to love both of them equally.

Tannin was 2 months old when Glory asked if I would not mind spending the week with him. He did not say why, but I could see that it was important to him. I had never seen my husband so on edge before so I figured I would be there for him, no matter the cost.

Kell and Garvan also could see that Glory was on edge and Garvan must have known the cause of his unease as he said to me ,"Just be with Glory this week yeah? I will or Kell will bring the baby to you when he is hungry or you could just express and give the milk to us so we aren't disturbing you both too much."

"Why are you doing this?" I asked him, "We aren't married."

"One day I hope we will be, but till then I want to help you best I can, and this time it is one of your husband's needing help. I am not so selfish that I would interfere with that."

"I see," I said, I did not understand, but I did know Garvan was trying to integrate his way into all our lives, even though Kell and I were resistant to his efforts. Glory not so much, I guess because he understood Garvan's wishes."

I headed to Glory and my room when as I reached for the door handle to enter I over heard an argument coming from with in. I froze listening.

"Glory, why don't you want to come with me? It would be good for you and me. Getting away together. I know it is always hard for you this time of year, I miss them all too you know."

"But Caspian, I am ok this year. It is different," Glory objected.

"How is it different? They're all gone, I just wanted to be with you this time, we are the last ones left," the a saddened slightly broken voice said.

"It's different this year," Glory said firmly, "It's different, because I got married again."

"What?" said the voice sounding very shocked, "When?"

"About 10 months ago now," Glory said sounding a bit hurt as he continued, "I invited you to meet her, and her other husband, but you did not show. Everyone else did, but you did not. You did not even follow up why I was holding a family banquet to start with. You just left a message saying that your kingdom needed you for some drama! I have not heard from you since. So tell me again why I should even consider being with you at this time."

"What is her name?" demanded the voice imperiously, "And how did it happen? It is very uncharacteristic of you to sleep with anyone."

"That is because it is uncharacteristic of me," Glory agreed, "We were charmed by a dragon's egg into having sex and she fell pregnant immediately. Both of us accidently fell asleep upon doing the deed."

"So, are you sure you were charmed and not some other reason?" the doubt in the person's voice clear.

"We were charmed," Glorifrir ascertained, "We were both in tears when we were found by her husband and Garvan."

"I believe you," the voice said, "Wait, you said you had a baby to her?"

"Yes, a beautiful baby boy, the dragon called it Tannin. We had no choice in the matter, that much I do know from what I have read about dragons," Glory explained.

"Can you look at something for me?" the voice said.

"Sure, what do you want me to look at?" the person must have started undressing as Glory then objected, "Hey, don't get undressed here!"

"Well how else do you propose I show you? I can't show anyone else, it is troublesome," the voice said.

"Oh, alright then," Glorifrir gave in, Ï heard Glory gasp, "When did you get that?"

"About 10 months ago," the voice said, "Why do you know anything about it?"

"Yes," Glory must have nodded here, "I got mine then too."

"You got one too?" the voice wondered, "Show me!"

I decided to enter then. My eyes went to Glory and then to the person who was undressed to his underwear. The first thing my eyes alit on was the matching tattoo to Kell, Glory and Garvin right in the center of his back highlighting his firm buttocks.

I gasp and felt my vision fading.

"Sue!" Glory ran in panic to me, catching me before I hit the ground, he held me in his arms but requested help of Caspian, "Help me move her to the bed please Caspian?"

"Alright, only because I can see you have caught her badly and it would be impossible to move her without help. But would you mind telling me who this is? I know her face from somewhere."

"This is my wife I was telling you about," Glory explained to Caspian. That was all I knew until I woke up with my breasts feeling like they were about to explode. I went to roll out of bed only to find a body in my way and it was not Glory.

I was livid. "Who are you?" I demanded of the sleeping man, who woke to my screeching panicked voice.

It was not him that spoke it was Glory, "Sorry love, this is Caspian, my fellow husband from my first wife. He is king of the fairies without a suitable heir, and I am sorry for tricking you into marriage, but he needs a suitable heir and you, my love, are the only one capable especially with the dragon charm."

I looked at Glory, and felt absolute betrayal of us in that moment, "Why Glory? You know how I feel about being married to more than one man. How is this fair on Garvan when you marry me off to another man without my permission?! "

"It is not fair, but perhaps you should just accept all of us," Glory said, "I am use to being in a 4 man marriage and that is what it would be if you took Garvan too."

"But Kell and I are not use to it, and we never wanted to get use to it! You tricked me into this!" I objected.

"Sue, may I say something?" Caspian said.

"If you want," I said sulkily, momentarily forgetting my aching breasts.

"Bear me a child, and I will stay out of your life for as much as you want me too, well to be honest, I really would only need you at this time each year. I just need a proper heir, my children to DebraLee were not raised like I was raised. I can see now why I was raised like I was - it enabled me to be king of both courts. The way DebraLee and I raised our kids was too coddled, they could only ever understand one of the courts needs. I am getting too old now and I can see my other love in you."

"Your other love?" I wondered at his statement.

"Yes, his name was Sylvan, king of the drow before Tyvan took over. We were fate linked as children. He gave me his remaining years in order to hopefully raise a child to rule both courts when Lee died. It was the saddest day of my life, the death of Lee and Sylvan. It's why I came to Glory now, I am getting a bit morbid in my old age. Glory dealt with it differently to me, he grieved straight away. I never had the time and now it is cutting me like a knife. I think this is why Glory suggested I sleep with you both, to take away my grief."

"Did it work?" I wondered, as I have no idea on how things like this worked. All I knew was if fae slept together in private quarters they were then considered married. So now we were considered married.

Caspian thought for a bit, his eyes closed, before opening them and looking at me, "I believe it has helped. Thank you, even though you were against it. I am sorry for tricking you. Have we met by the way? I feel I know your face from somewhere."

"Yes, we have met, but we never introduced ourselves," I said still sulking.

"I am sorry, but can you please humor this old man, when did we meet?" Caspian asked politely, his gentleness showing in that moment. I got the impression that this was a man who got what he wanted though, one use to people obeying, but for some reason he was allowing me to say no to him.

"We met on top of the gate's hill here and you teleported me to a safe room for 2 days. Later we met just before the banquet Glory had arranged and you danced with me," I reminded him.

"Oh! I see!" Caspian smiled then, "When I first met you was when my mark appeared. It matches the one Glory has on his thigh. Glory said I had to ask you about it. What do you know about it?"

I glared at Glory then, and was saved by a knock being heard at the door. I could hear a wailing child through the door and my milk flowed out of me almost like a waterfall. Glory scrambled to get the door, "Garvan, come in," he invited him as I moved to the chair I fed Tannin on.

"Hello uncle, and Sue," he said with a smile at us, but when he saw Caspian he frowned, "What is he doing here?"

"We need to talk Garvan," Glory said then, "Can you get Kell?"

"Yes," Garvan scowled and practically ran out the door.

"Sue," Glory asked,

"Yes," I was curt as I started feeding the baby, feeling instant relief as the child suckled on me.

"Will you accept Garvan?"

"I will, Its not like I have a choice now is it? It is not fair on him to be the only one with the mark not married to me," I said feeling rather put out by the whole situation. Damn that Goddess. I thought.

"Thank you," Glory said with a smile, "I know it will be hard for you, but it will be worth it I am sure."

"So you say, I am not impressed by this at all. But in saying that, I will trust you as you have not steered Kell or I wrong these last 10 months that we were married," I reasoned.

"I will get you a change of clothes, I do not think you want to stay in that rather wet gown," Glory said as he left to do just that leaving me with Caspian.

"You know," Caspian confided in me, "I am glad we are married. You have been the only person in my mind since I met you. I wondered why. Could you explain the significance of the mark?"

I nodded, "Yes, Garvan said it was given to him to identify the men he was to be fellow husbands with as the Goddess took away his love. As I am married to Kell and Glory and they hold this mark, he considers me to be the one the Goddess wants me to be with."

"So me having this mark is confirmation that the Goddess wants us all to be together?" Caspian sounded pleased.

"Yes. Why are you pleased about this?" I tilted my head in wonder.

"Because it means I will not be alone anymore," Caspian smiled happily, "As soon as I was married to Lee, I was use to having 4 other husbands. Luckily the most troublesome died early leaving us who could work together, together... I hope you understand. I miss the mateship we had. Glory was the most standoffish of us all in case you had not figured already. He liked to have Lee to himself and we gave her to him as much as we could. He really suffered from Qi burning. He does not seem to be suffering from it this time though."

"No, nor does Kell," I stated.

"Kell?" Caspian asked.

"Yes, my first husband, he is a kelpie," I stated.

"So he is one of my subjects then?"

"No!" I said firmly, "He is a prince in his own right. The human kelpies are not subject to your rule. They became the royalty of the earth fae. The ones that were left behind."

"I see," Caspian looked thoughtful, "Thank you for correcting me, I would have hated to treat him incorrectly."

The baby stopped nursing then, so I burped him before putting him on my other breast.

Kell and Garvan returned then.

"Sue, what is happening?"
