ALYSSA DIDN'T LEAVE with Scott, she went home with Derek, and had fully intended to stay there with him, instead of going back home with Scott to deal with the aftermath of his mom finding out about what they were. She was completely heartbroken at the fact Scott had been going behind her back the entire time - he had been betraying her brother this whole time. So, back at her old house, she felt like she was right back at the start again, not speaking to either Scott nor Stiles, and being back on her brothers side yet again. It felt strange, being home again, her actual home, instead of the abandoned subway station that her brother had been holed up in since he became the alpha - instead of staying with Derek, she headed out of the room and back to her old bedroom, where a sleeping bag was still on the floor, along with some of her belongings that had been left since the first time they had to leave the house. She sighed, looking at the bag, before she felt a presence in her bedroom doorway.
"You have got to be kidding me." Alyssa groaned, turning around and seeing her uncle in the flesh, with his throat in tact. "How are you alive right now?" She asked, wondering why the hell he was currently standing in front of him instead of under their floorboard; how was he alive right now?
"With great difficulty, I assure you." Peter told her, a sly smile on his face as he looked at his niece. Coming back to life was something he knew he would be able to do; he made that possible by biting Lydia on the night of their school dance, and because of that, he was able to come back.
Alyssa rolled her eyes at her uncle, moving past him and heading down the stairs to tell Derek who was in this house with them, and Peter was following closely behind, walking slowly with his hands in his pockets. "Derek!" Alyssa called out, walking into the living room and gaining his attention, "What the hell is this? Did you do something?" She asked her brother, motioning towards their uncle who had walked into the room after her.
Derek grabbed Alyssa and pushed her aside, allowing him to throw a part of his mirror at Peter, hoping to cut him in some way - but Peter caught it with little effort, the shard just about to pierce his throat. "I expected a slightly walmer welcome from the two of you." Peter told his niece and nephew, tutting in disapproval. "But point taken.. It's quite a situation you two have got yourselves in here, kids. I mean, I'm out of commission for a few weeks and suddenly there's lizard people, geriatric psychopaths, and you're cooking up werewolves out of every self-esteem-deprived adolescent in town." He continued, naming all of the things Derek had done wrong during these times he had been dead.
Alyssa shrugged, "That was all Derek, actually." She spoke up, rolling her eyes at how Peter was blaming both of them when in reality, it was just her brother whom had done all of that.
"What do you want?" Derek asked, getting straight to the point and interrupting his sister. He didn't appreciate Peter coming back from the dead and instantly insulting how he was running his pack - at least he wasn't killing people left right and centre like he was.
"Well, I want to help." Peter told the two of them, as they exchanged looks of disbelief; Peter always had a reason of doing things, and this just didn't make sense. He wanted something in return, Alyssa could just tell, but what did he want? "Your my niece and nephew. My family, the only relatives that I have left; you know, there's still a lot that I can teach the two of you. Can we just all talk?" He asked, placing both of his hands on the siblings shoulders, the two of them just looking at him confusingly.
Alyssa didn't even have time to react, when Derek threw Peter across the room and into the staircase, the man collapsing from impact. "You don't actually think that I want to be the alpha again, do you? That wasn't my finest performance, considering it ended in my death. I mean, I'm usually more - okay go ahead!" Peter finished, Derek throwing more punches at the man.
"Derek." Alyssa spoke up quietly, not liking the fact he was just beating on their uncle. The man instantly stopped at his sisters voice, letting Peter drop to the floor - Derek was trying to become a better man for this girl, and not beating Peter up to death, was a good way to start that out.
"Don't you want to hear about how Alyssa and Scott are mates?" Peter asked, Derek completely freezing at his words, having not expected him to know about that, and Peter recognised this look, instantly smirking at his nephew, "You didn't think I knew, did you?" He asked the man, who glared at him. Alyssa was just confused, she stood to the side, watching the two men converse, wanting to know what the hell they were talking about.
"What's that supposed to mean?" She asked, wanting to know what he was talking about. Alyssa looked at Derek for an answer, only to find her brother with his eyes locked onto Peter, the glare heavily boring into him, "Derek?" She pressed, wanting an answer.
Peter laughed, "Derek didn't want you to know. I can understand that." He said, looking over at Alyssa who was still looking at her brother for an answer, "I'm positive that Deaton already told him, but he wasn't planning on telling you, at least.. Not yet. You see, you and Scott are mates, that's why you can feel each others pain, and sense where they are at times." He explained, as Alyssa's eyes widened at the information.
"What does that mean?" Alyssa asked, stepping away from the two men that seemed to know everything about what was going on, and she was out of the loop.
"I didn't think it was real." Derek explained, finally facing his sister who held a face full of hurt, "It only occurs with an alpha, and Scott isn't an alpha - none of it makes sense to me." He told his sister, not knowing why the two of them were showing signs of being mates when Scott nor Alyssa were alphas.
"But you never thought to tell me?" Alyssa asked in disbelief, "You didn't think that I would like to know about this?" She continued, hurt that Derek had kept this from her for so long, considering they had first experienced this when they were trapping Jackson in the night club.
"Alyssa, I didn't know if it was real!" Derek argued, defending himself.
"Of course it was real! I was experiencing his pain, for gods sake!" Alyssa shouted back, annoyed that he could even think that none of this was real. "You didn't tell me that you even had the slightest idea about what was happening between the two of us?" She asked, calming down slightly as she knew there was no point getting angry over something she couldn't control. Derek shook his head, not knowing what else to say to her, and Alyssa scoffed, "I'm out of here." She snapped, shoving past her brother and heading towards the front door to leave.
"And where are you going? In case you've forgotten, Scott's not on our side!" Derek shouted after her, following her to the front door or the house and out to the front into the cool air, Peter staying inside to recover from his hits from Derek.
"Scott's always on the right side, Derek!" Alyssa shouted, walking backwards, "Something that you've never been able to do." She told him, sending him a last glare, before she turned around, and left. It didn't matter that Scott had been working against them this whole time, she would rather be anywhere else than her 'family'.
Alyssa ran to school - she knew that Scott would be there for the lacrosse game, and she honestly didn't know where else she should go, she didn't have anyone else. Allison had nearly killed her, Lydia was crazy, Derek had been lying to her for months now, and Peter was a psychopath. Scott and Stiles were the only people she had left, so that's where she was headed - to find them. It didn't take her long to get there, as she had ran at full speed to get to Scott; she could feel his presence at the lacrosse field and that was the only thing she could focus on, was getting to him.
She could see everyone on the field and on the bleachers, but the one person she was focused on, was Scott, who was sitting next to Stiles on the bench, already sensing her arrival, looking around to spot her. When he did, he sprung up, heading towards her as she also sped towards him, meeting halfway. The two of them didn't speak at first, not knowing what to say, until Alyssa reached out and pulled the boy in for a well needed hug. "I'm sorry." Scott apologised for lying to her, but Alyssa shook her head into his chest, not wanting to hear it.
"You can explain everything after the game. I have something I need to tell you." Alyssa told him, as the two pulled away from their huff and looked at each other. Scott nodded, as the two of them saw Stiles running onto the field, "Is Stiles playing?" She asked Scott, watching the boy confusingly.
"Yeah. He is." Scott told her, a huge smile on his face at the sight of his friend finally being able to play in the game. Every single worry about the supernatural was thrown out of their minds as they watched Stiles run onto the field, ready to play, Alyssa didn't know she would be so happy to see the scrawny boy finally playing a game with the rest of the team, but she couldn't even hold back the gleam on her face at the sight of him - that's how she knew he was one of her closest friends. "After the game?" Scott asked her, grabbing her hand and leading her back to the bench.
"After the game." Alyssa confirmed, knowing that they needed to have a well deserved conversation about what the hell was going on - Alyssa wanted to know why Scott was working with Gerard, and Alyssa needed to tell him about them being mates, something she still had a hard time believing in.
As she sat down besides her, Scott suddenly grabbed her hand and gave it a tight squeeze, concerning her, and that's when she could hear him, too, Gerard.. "Scott, Alyssa, can you hear me? Ah you can, good. Then listen closely because the game is about to get interesting. Let's put a real clock on this game, guys. I'll give you guys until the last thirty seconds, and when that scoreboard clock begins counting down from thirty, if you haven't given me Derek, then Jackson is gonna kill someone." He spoke up, knowing that the two werewolves could hear him - Alyssa growled under her breath at the man's threat towards her brother, and Scott tightened his hold on her, making sure she didn't let her anger overtake her actions. "So tell me, Scott, who's gonna die tonight?" Gerard continued, knowing that he wouldn't give up Derek. "Should it be your mother, who so bravely came out to support you? Or the Sheriff, your best friend's father? Or how about the pretty little redhead who managed to survive the bite of an alpha? Or maybe one of these innocent teenagers with their whole life ahead of them? Or just maybe, the girl sitting besides you, whom you have fallen in love with, creating a bond like no other." The man spoke, as Alyssa looked up at Scott to see him clenching his jaw in anger. "It's up to you, Scott. But you are going to help me take Derek down. Because if you don't.. I'll have Jackson someone's head off, and I might just make it your little mate's head." He said, smirking to himself from across the field.
Alyssa let out a sigh of relief when his voice stopped ringing through her head - she didn't know what Scott was going to do, as much as she liked to believe that she knew the boy. Scott knew that he was going to tell Alyssa everything once this night was over; he was going to tell her his plan, and she was going to understand why he had been doing what he had been doing. He should have told her in the first place, he shouldn't have kept it from her, it had just caused more drama, and he now realised that he should be sharing everything with this girl. She had left her brothers pack to join him - Derek is her family and she left the man to help him out, the least she deserved was to have some answers, and he was finally going to give her that after tonight. Alyssa was about to ask Scott what he was thinking, when Isaac sat down on the seat besides her, shocking the two werewolves, especially Alyssa, who believed that Isaac had gone with Erica and Boyd. "You came to help." Scott stated, also confused.
"I thought you were following the other two?" Alyssa asked, confused at why the boy was currently here right now.
"I came back to win." Isaac told the two of them with a smirk on his face, getting ready to get into the game and win it. "You two got a plan yet?" He asked, knowing that they were basically the two alphas right now, and he was looking up to them with what to do. He was following their lead.
"No." Alyssa sighed.
"Well, right now, it's pretty much just keep Jackson from killing anyone." Scott told Isaac, watching Jackson on the field acting like he usually did right now, but they didn't know when he would switch and start killing people.
"Well, that might be easier when you're actually in the game." Isaac said, as they all sat on the bench.
"I would if I could." Alyssa stated, as she wasn't even on the team, "What if you made it so the coach has no choice but to let Scott play?" She asked Isaac, knowing that if they had a team of awful players, coach would have to send Scott in to save their skin.
Isaac smirked at her idea, knowing that it was great, whereas Scott looked confused. "How are we gonna do that? He's got a bench full of guys he can use before he ever puts me on the field." He pointed out, looking at all of the other team members waiting to be called in by the coach. This is when he finally realised what the two were on about, he looked back at them with a shocked expression, "Can you do it without putting anyone in the hospital?" He asked Isaac, who sighed.
"Remember what me and Derek taught you, Isaac." Alyssa told the boy, who nodded at her words, remembering the countless days they all spent fighting and defending themselves. The second Isaac rushed off into the field, Alyssa turned to Scott, "I'm going to sit by Noah and your mom." She told him, giving him a quick kiss, "He won't be able to get to them if I'm there." She said, as he nodded thankfully.
"I love you." Scott said, leaning his forehead against hers as the two shared a moment.
"I love you, too." Alyssa told him, looking in his eyes once more, getting a good look at him in case it would be her last. She was going to go down fighting, if Jackson was really going to kill someone tonight, she wasn't going to let it slide, if she could help it, no one will die.
Alyssa stood up, rushing away from Scott and towards the two parents, and.. Lydia? "Hey, Lyds." The girl greeted, taking a seat next to the strawberry blonde girl, who smiled at the sight of the friend she hadn't spoke to in some time now.
"Hey. Where've you been?" Lydia asked, wondering what the girl had been up to the past few weeks.
"With my brother." Alyssa told her, technically not lying.. "Family troubles." She added, noticing Lydia's confused looks. Melissa noticed the girl sit down, and couldn't help but flinch away from her, but when Alyssa turned and gave her a sweet smile, she realised that she wasn't a danger. "Hi, Melissa." Alyssa greeted, hoping that the woman wouldn't be scared of her still. The girl sighed when Melissa smiled back, knowing that it was better than nothing..

The more the game went on, the more anxious Alyssa was as she waited for Jackson to make a move on someone - she had Melissa, Noah and Lydia covered from the stands, but on the field, that was all on Scott and Isaac, and she couldn't help but worry for Stiles, who didn't know what was going on, and was actually having the time of his life. Isaac had succeeded in getting Scott onto the field, so all she could do is wait, and make sure none of their family got hurt with what's about to happen next.. However, when Isaac hit Jackson, he landed on the floor with a loud thump, and Alyssa cringed at the sight, standing up to get a better look at her friend. As she listened into what Isaac was telling Scott, she found out that Jackson had scratched Isaac and he was paralysed, causing the girl to grunt in annoyance, knowing that this was Gerards first move. "Alyssa, don't do anything stupid." Scott spoke lowly on the field, looking up at her as she was standing up and getting ready to go and find Isaac to make sure he wasn't in trouble.
"This is Isaac we're talking about, Scotty." Alyssa spoke quietly, so no one could hear except for Scott. She didn't wait for him to answer as she started walking down the bleachers, Scott wanting to follow, but he couldn't leave Jackson alone, she heard him calling her name after her, but she didn't listen - she couldn't leave Isaac alone, not after he came back to help them both. Alyssa could feel the pain in her gut as Scott was taking beatings on the field from no other than Jackson, but she couldn't stop now, she had to save Isaac from Gerard.
The girl ran for her life as she sped into the school building and towards the locker rooms where they had taken Isaac, but she was too late. They were already there. Instead of thinking through a plan first, the girl burst into the room, sending a punch to the nearest guy to her, shifting halfway through, so her eyes were glowing, and her claws had come into play. The hunters looked surprised to see her, but turned to fight her off, keeping her away from their leader, whom was holding a sword up to Isaac, ready to kill.
She fought each of them off, trying to get to Jackson, just as she felt a presence behind her, Scott coming to join her to make sure she didn't get hurt, and the two worked side by side to defeat the hunters threatening Isaac's life. Alyssa couldn't keep the smile off of her face as she fought alongside Scott, the two working together to get rid of the hunters, only leaving Gerard next. "Where is he?" Scott asked Isaac, noticing that the old man had slipped away.
No one knew.
