( 𝟎𝟑𝟓 ) figuring out a plan
'raving'

BEING BACK AT home, or whatever she called the abandoned train station, was a strange feeling for Alyssa, having been with Stiles at his house for the past month. She couldn't believe that Noah still had no idea that she had been living there - he really didn't have the best attention span. Derek had even been good to her since she moved back in with him and the other pack members; the man hadn't yelled at her yet, or had even teased her about the fact he caught Scott and her kissing the day before in her room..
It scared Derek, when he saw how Alyssa and Scott look at each other, it reminded him of when he was their age, and when he was in love.. The two teenagers didn't know it now, but Derek knew that they were in love - he had the feeling that his sister felt something for the McCall boy, since they first moved here to look for their dead sister, the second Alyssa started hanging out with the McCall boy, Derek just knew..
Scott wasn't in love with Allison, he never was. His anchor isn't Allison, either.. He was purely in control because of Alyssa, and Alyssa alone; it was stupid to think any other way. Again, the two teenagers don't know it now, but they will, eventually.. Derek eyed his sister as she came into the main area, grabbing her jacket from the side, planning to leave, "Where are you going?" He asked her, now sitting up.
"Jackson's on the move again, me and Scott are gonna trail him." Alyssa informed her brother, not thinking much of it, until he gave her a look, which she narrowed her eyes at, "What?" She asked him, not understanding why he was looking at her like that..
Derek instantly shook his head, "Nothing." He told her, shrugging. He wouldn't tell her his thoughts on her and Scott in case it made her think any differently of the whole situation - he was going to let the girl figure it out for herself, just like he had to when he was her age.
Alyssa rolled her eyes at Derek, "Whatever." She said, before picking up his keys, "I'm borrowing the car." She told him, and before he had time to protest, she headed out of her temporary home - the girl still found it strange being back with Derek and the pack, and she didn't want to admit it, but she kind of missed Stiles and his stupid tendencies. The second she stepped out into the open, Scott was already waiting for her, having walked all the way here.
He didn't want to enter as he was nervous as to how Derek would act with him, but the second Alyssa came into view, he smiled. "Hey." She greeted, shlyly, not exactly knowing how to react around the boy she had kissed yesterday..
The two teenagers stood in front of each other, looking in each other's eyes for just a few moments, before the two smiled widely, finally happy that they could act how they wanted to, with no precautions. Scott wasn't with Allison anymore, and they didn't have to hide their feelings any longer. "Hi." Scott greeted, smiling down at her as they both stood by the car, Derek's car. He smirked at the sight of it, "Derek let you borrow his car?" He couldn't help but ask.
Alyssa smirked back at him, twirling the keys in her hand, "Not exactly." She explained, knowing that Derek would be upset when she got back, especially if anything happened to his baby - either way, Derek was planning on getting a new car soon, anyway, so this one will be hers soon..
Scott laughed, as the two climbed into the car, both chuckling as she put the car into drive and drove off, "He's headed towards the club, where the rave is happening." Scott told her, as she began to drive down the road. The two decided to get on with the task at hand, rather than pause and talk about what happened yesterday - they had time to do so, and that was all that mattered..
The two werewolves walked into the rave, where there were people lining up to buy tickets for the rave that was going to happen in a few days. After seeing Jackson get in, they also needed to find a way to get it, to find out why Jackson wanted to get in.. People were buying tickets, and Alyssa couldn't help but grunt in annoyance - she hadn't bought along any money, meaning they wouldn't be able to buy them. At least, not tonight.
Scott looked at Alyssa in the corner of his eye, reading her expression, and he knew they didn't have enough money. He sighed, "Matt." He spoke up, gaining the kids attention. Alyssa didn't exactly know Matt, but she knew him from the detention., That's all.
Matt turned around at the sound of Scott's voice, and saw him standing with Alyssa. "What?" He asked, clearly not interested. He wasn't over the other day at the library densities, and he didn't exactly want to talk to the two of them.
"How much are the tickets?" Scott asked.
"Seventy-five." Matt told him casually, like that wasn't a large price for just one party.
Scott's eyes widened at the price, whereas Alyssa rolled her eyes, knowing that she was going to have to pay two-hundred and twenty-five dollars worth of tickets so they can get into the club. It wasn't an issue for her, but she was sure that Derek was going to get annoyed about it.
"Can I borrow some money?" Scott asked Matt, without even looking back at Alyssa, not thinking that she would be able to pay it, either, the boy didn't know about the Hale's hidden fortune. How did he think they paid for everything?
"Yeah, how much?" Matt asked casually.
"Seventy-five." Scott answered, causing Alyssa to look up at him weirdly - she often wondered what went through that boys mind. Seeing Matt's annoyed face, Alyssa grabbed Scott's arm, pulling him back to the end of the line, giving him a 'what the hell' facial expression, which Scott only shrugged at.
The two of them needed to get in, as Jackson wanted to get in, and when they saw the man himself, at the front of the line, they knew they had to get in. The girl at the front desk, handing out the tickets, looked up at Jackson as he glared down at her, "How many?" She asked, before looking up and looking shocked at the boy in front of her, before he held up one finger.
As Jackson paid, he held onto the girls hand longer than necessary, something that Scott and Alyssa didn't miss. The two looked at each other as they stood at the end of the line, "You saw that, right?" Scott asked, knowing that what they just saw wasn't normal - maybe this girl was his next target.
Alyssa nodded up at him, watching as Jackson was still glaring at the girl in front him, before she eventually moved back, and the elevator went up, leaving Jackson alone. Alyssa furrowed her brows in confusion as she watched it happen.
Maybe the rave will be more difficult than they thought.
——
The meeting point was the vets, where Alyssa, Scott, Derek, Deaton and Isaac had to come up with a plan of action, to stop Jackson. Scott had made a deal with Derek, one where the alpha wasn't allowed to kill Jackson, so now, they were trying to figure something else out. Alyssa walked in front of her brother and his beta, while she knocked on the back door of the clinic, alerting Scott as he instantly came to answer the door, happy to see Alyssa, who smiled back.
However, when Scott saw Isaac behind Derek, his smile dropped, as he didn't exactly like the kid, who had tried to get in between him and Alyssa when he was first bitten. "What's he doing here?" Scott asked Alyssa and Derek, as the girl simply shrugged, having just followed Derek here..
"We need him." Derek told Scott, not even bothering to easy for him to move before he barged in. Just because Scott and his sister were a thing now, didn't mean that he was going to tolerate it, if anything, hated it.
"I don't trust him." Scott said, glaring at the back of Isaac's head, who simply smirked at the fact he had this affect on the McCall boy because of how he acted with Alyssa when he was first bitten.
"Yeah, well, he doesn't trust you either." Isaac defended, not exactly caring for Scott's feelings towards Isaac. Alyssa rolled her eyes at the two boys, annoyed that they were already bickering, when they had the whole night ahead of them.
"You know what? And Derek really doesn't care." Derek snapped at the two boys, also annoyed at their bickering. Scott and Isaac both looked over at Alyssa, expecting her to say something, and Derek definitely didn't miss it.. He glared at the two boys staring at his sister, clicking his fingers to get their attention, "Now where's the vet? Is he going to help us or not?" Derek asked, just wanting to get this over and done with.
"That depends." Deaton spoke up for the first time, announcing his presence to the werewolf's, "Your friend, Jackson. Are we planning to kill him or save him?" He asked, mostly looking over at Derek as he knew the kind of guy he was.
Alyssa had to prepare herself mentally for the bickering that was about to go down - she knew for a fact that Derek didn't want to save Jackson, he wanted to kill him and get this whole thing over and done with.. But she also knew that Scott wanted to save the boy, no matter how much he didn't like him; Alyssa didn't like Jackson anymore than the next person, but she didn't exactly want to murder him, especially if there was a way to save the boy..
"Whatever ways easier." Alyssa said, as her brother and Scott also spoke at the same time.
"Kill him." Derek said.
"Save him." Scott said, before everyone looked at each other, "Save him." He repeated to the two Hale's, causing Alyssa to nod up at him - she would go with whatever he wanted.. Alyssa knew that Derek was her alpha, but for some reason, she didn't feel like she should have to take his orders. Normally with an alpha, you wanted to do anything they asked, wanting to please their every order, but Alyssa couldn't help but want to follow behind Scott, and she had no idea as to why.. "Save him." Scott repeated.
Deaton eventually nodded at Scott's answer, having faith that the boy wouldn't kill Jackson, before he led them all into the back, where he would then show them his plan. As the four werewolves stood at the table, Alyssa couldn't help but think back to the moment where Derek had almost died with the whole bullet - and she hated the remembrance.
Deaton came back out to them with a tray of viles, which had liquid in each of them, Isaac saw this, and instantly reached out to grab one of them, until Derek and Alyssa both grabbed his arm, knowing that he shouldn't be touching anything, in case it was poison.
"Don't touch anything, idiot." Alyssa snapped, unsure at how Isaac could be so stupid, hadn't Derek taught him anything? She let his hand drop as Derek simply shook his head at the boy, also wondering the sand as Alyssa, at how stupid he was.
Deaton ignored them and picked up one of the jars, whilst Isaac leant forwards on the table in fascination, "So, what are you? Some kind of witch?" He asked Deaton, as Alyssa practically face palmed at the boys actions.
"No. I'm a veterinarian." Deaton corrected him casually, before he put the jar back down, "Unfortunately, I don't see anything that's going to be an effective defence against a paralytic toxin." He told the four of them.
"We're open to suggestions." Derek told Deaton.
Alyssa nodded, "Yeah, like is there no way to paralyse his toxins?" She asked, having an idea flow through her mind. When Deaton shook his head at her, she sighed, it was worth a try.
"What about an effective offence?" Isaac spoke up, also putting in his piece.
"We already tried." Derek told him. "I nearly took its head off, and Argent emptied an entire clip into it. The thing just gets back up." He informed Deaton.
"Has it shown any weaknesses?" Deaton asked, unsure at how it has showed no weakness to anyone. It made him wonder how they were going to save Jackson - he had never seen something like this before..
"It can't swim." Alyssa spoke up, "It was like, afraid of the water." She told the veterinarian.
Deaton nodded at the new information, "Does that go for Jackson as well?" He asked Scott, who shook his head.
"No. He's the captain of the swim team." He informed everyone..
"Essentially, you're trying to teach two people." Deaton said, before he headed back to one his draws, and pulled out some sort of token. "A puppet, and a puppeteer." He finished, as everyone looked at him in slight amazement.
Alyssa was surprised at how casual he was, and how he knew so much, it amazed her.. "One killed the husband, but the other had to take care of the wife. Do we know why?" He asked the werewolves.
No one answered him, having no clue how to answer, until Scott spoke up, "I don't think Jackson could do it." He said, "His mother died pregnant, too, and she was maybe murdered. I think he couldn't let the same thing happen to someone else." He said truthfully. Scott knew that Jackson wasn't a good person, if anything, he was a terrible person - but he just couldn't imagine giving someone the same fate he had..
"How do you know it's not part of the rules?" Isaac interrupted, his eyes locked onto the token on the table in front of them all. "The kanima kills murderers. If Jackson kills the wife, the baby dies, too." He said.
Alyssa tilted her head in surprise that Isaac had actually managed to figure something out - maybe he wasn't as dumb as Alyssa thought he was.
"That's a good point." Alyssa agreed, nodding along to Isaac's words.
Scott looked up at Isaac and again, didn't like how close he and Alyssa were. "Does that mean your father was a murderer?" He asked, knowing that it might hit a tough spot with Isaac.
Alyssa glared up at Scott as Isaac shrugged, the words not affecting him as much as Scott thought they would. "Wouldn't surprise me if he was." Isaac replied.
"Hold on." Deaton interrupted, "The book says they're bonded, right?" He asked, an idea coming through his head. "What is the fear of water isn't coming from Jackson but from the person controlling him? What if something that affects the Kanima, also affects its master?" He pointed out, as he sprinkled wolfs bane around the token.
"Meaning what?" Isaac asked.
"Meaning we can catch him." Scott finished, looking at his boss in appreciation for his smartness.
"Both of them?" Alyssa asked.
"Both of them."
