( 𝟎𝟑𝟒 ) detention in the library

'restraint'

⋅⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅⋅

NOT ONLY HAD Alyssa nearly died under Jackson's hands, but she now had to sit in the same room with him during detention, and it was quite possibly, the last thing she wanted to do right now. She felt embarrassed that Jackson had managed to get her in that position, and almost kill her - she told Scott that she could take care of herself, but she was wrong, she couldn't, and she hated it.
She hadn't expected Jackson to come at her with that amount of strength, considering that he hadn't shifted into his Kanima state.. How could he be stronger than her? It was why they all needed to put a stop to him once and for all.

The rest of the day had gone by quickly, with Alyssa focusing on her work and making sure to stay the hell away from Jackson, before three o'clock finally came along and she finally had to suffer the detention that she had been given, along with her other friends.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Scott whispered as the two of them followed behind the group to the library for their detention. He kept glancing at her every few seconds, making sure that she was okay, like he had been doing all day, even in their lessons.
He knew that he should have gone with her and Allison to talk with Jackson, he could just feel it in his gut that something bad was going to happen, and he should have listened to himself and ditched his exam. That way, Alyssa wouldn't have been hurt.

Alyssa looked up at him, "I'm fine, I've healed." She told him, knowing that he had seen her bruised neck earlier. Truth be told, she now felt completely fine, like the last few hours didn't even happen.

Scott shook his head in annoyance, "I should have been there. I knew something would happen." He basically told himself, before he gently brushed over Alyssa's neck, "Look what he did.." He said, wanting nothing more than to kill him in this very moment.

"I wanted you to take your test." Alyssa defended, knowing that it seemed like a stupid idea to her now, to make Scott stay behind, but she couldn't help but worry that he could be kicked out of the school for his bad grades.
By this time, they were now all walking into the library, and Scott stayed by Alyssa's side, looking at Jackson from the side of his eyes as he did so - he didn't trust him near Alyssa one bit..

"We can't be in detention together." Jackson told the teacher, "I have a restraining order against these tools." He said, motioning to Scott and Stiles, as he didn't want to be anywhere near them after what had happened earlier on in the day. He didn't remember anything, and when he felt like he woke up, he suddenly found himself on top of Alyssa with his hands around her throat, naked.
He didn't know what the hell happened, but that was not something he would do, and he would never do what it looked like he had done. He just wanted to forget it for good.

"All of these tools?" The teacher asked in a bored tone.

"No, just us tools." Stiles said, motioning towards himself and Scott.

"Fine. You two, over there." The teacher told the two boys.

Scott glanced at Alyssa with a worried look, not wanting to move away from her, but he knew the teacher wouldn't allow her to follow him. Alyssa saw this, and nodded her head at him, letting him know that she will be okay, Jackson wouldn't try anything in detention..
Scott sighed, before he followed Stiles to the opposite table, leaving Alyssa with Erica on their own, which the girl smirked at, having missed her old friend. Erica wanted to rip Jackson's head off when she found out what he did to Alyssa in the locker room, but knowing Derek, he wouldn't be happy.

"I'm gonna kill him." Alyssa heard Scott tell Stiles in anger, just thinking back to the moment when he saw a naked Jackson on top of Alyssa - the girl he believed that he was in love with.

She wasn't listening in, when she saw Erica watching her in worry. It was when the girl mouthed 'are you okay?' did Alyssa actually smile at her. She missed her friend, having been close with her when the two were living together, but since Alyssa had been staying at Stiles' house,
Alyssa nodded, smiling at Erica.

"You should come back to us." Erica told Alyssa in a hushed whisper, knowing that Scott could clearly hear. "I know you're staying at Stiles' house." She carried on, but when Alyssa looked shocked at that, she quickly carried on, "I haven't told Derek, if that's what you mean." Erica said.

Alyssa's panic instantly disappeared, and she sighed in relief, the last thing she needed was for Derek to show up and storm into the Stilinski household to pick her up. It would sure be a surprise to Noah if that happened, as the man didn't even know the young girl was staying in his house.
"Is he still a dick?" Alyssa asked her.

Erica shrugged, "I mean, it's Derek." She told the girl. "But we could definitely use your help." She said.

Alyssa sighed, "I don't think so." She eventually told her, knowing that she didn't want to be anywhere near Derek still, as she hadn't forgiven him for treating her so bad when he had first become the alpha.

The two were interrupted by Jackson suddenly standing up, placing his hand on his head in pain, and grunting, loud. The two girls turned around instantly and watched as Jackson stood up, pressing his thumbs into his eyes like he had a migraine, before eventually announcing that he had to go to the bathroom, not even bothering to ask.
"No one leaves their seats." The teacher told them all, before following after Jackson.

"That was weird." Alyssa told Erica, watching as the two of them left the library. Erica nodded in agreement.

The second the door shut, Scott and Stiles ran back over to the table, having gotten the idea to ask Erica about Jackson, as she had made it clear to Stiles that she knew something.
Scott took the seat besides Alyssa, glancing over at her to make sure that she was still okay, before eventually speaking up, "Stiles says you know how Jackson's parents died." Scott told Erica.

Alyssa looked up at Erica in slight offence that she hadn't told her, but then again, the two weren't exactly on speaking terms. "Maybe." She told Scott.

"Talk." Scott pushed, knowing that Erica couldn't keep her mouth shut when it came to gossip.

And he was right.
"It was a car accident. My dad was the insurance investigator, and every time he sees Jackson drive by in his Porsche, he makes some comment about the huge settlement he'll be getting when he's eighteen." Erica explained, loving how she was currently the centre of attention.

Stiles rolled his eyes, "So not only is Jackson rich now, but he's getting even richer at eighteen?" He scoffed.

"So that means his parents are dead, right? Or they wouldn't leave him any money or anything?" Alyssa asked, as Erica winked at her.

"You know what? I could try to find the insurance report in my dad's inbox." Erica said, pulling out her laptop and opening it up, "He keeps everything."

Alyssa and Scott were leaned in, hoping to catch a look of the laptop and Jackson's parents report, until the voice of Allison's mother came through the speaker.
"Scott McCall, please report to the principals office." She said, as it echoed around the library.

Alyssa furrowed her brows in confusion, "What does she want?" She asked Scott, turning to face him in worry.

"I don't know." Scott said, having no idea why she could possibly want to talk to him, him and Allison were over, and had been for quite a while, so there was nothing to talk about. He grabbed his bag, standing up, but before leaving, he leaned down and gently kissed Alyssa on the top of the head, before eventually leaving, heading towards the principals office, wishing that he will make it back in one piece..

——

It was official, Alyssa hated every single teacher in this stupid school, and she now wished that she had ripped Jackson's head off when she got the chance; that way, she wouldn't be stuck in detention, after school, putting multiple books into the shelves quickly, just so she could get home.
She stuck with Erica while Stiles and Scott informed Allison about Jackson's parents..

"You know, Derek would welcome you back with open arms." Erica told Alyssa, trying to convince her once again, to come back to the pack, god knows they needed her.

Alyssa sighed, shoving another random book into the shelf, before looking up at the girl. "I told Derek I was out. And I meant it." She told Erica.
If she went back on her word, not only would she look completely stupid, but she would have completely gone back on her word, allowing herself to be pushed around once again. She swore she was done with it all.

"He worries about you everyday." Erica said, "He doesn't like to admit it, but he misses you." She told Alyssa.
She had only known the two of them for a short amount of time, but she could tell in that amount of time that they were incredibly close and cared about each other deeply. Erica had always wanted a brother, and she had always been secretly jealous of Alyssa and Derek - she hated to see the two of them fighting, and not talking.

Alyssa stopped what she was doing and looked over at Erica, "He does?" She couldn't help but ask.

Erica didn't have the chance to answer her, because they were suddenly interrupted by the sound of a book dropping to the floor in the isle next to them, the exact isle that Jackson and Matt were in. Alyssa held up her hand in an instant, stopping Erica from saying anything else, when she heard Scott calling out her name.
Instantly, the two girls shifted, roaring as they saw Jackson shift and jump from shelf to shelf, knocking over almost everything in the process. With the girls being busy shielding themselves from the glass falling from the ceiling, they hadn't noticed Jackson jump down, half shifted, with his tail out, and in an instant, Erica was targeted, causing the girl to grunt and fall to the floor.

Alyssa roared even louder, advancing on Jackson and managing to punch him around the face; but what shocked her, was that he wasn't even fased after her punch.
"Scott!" Alyssa yelled, backing up at the sight of Jackson, with his forming scales now appearing on the side of his face. He was shifting, and they had to get out of there, now.

Within seconds, Scott showed up at Alyssa's side, instantly standing in front of her protectively, claws out, ready to attack. But when Jackson simply ignored them, they watched in confusion, having expected him to attack them.
When he made his way over to the chalk board, it was even more confusing to the two of them, until they saw what he was writing with his nail.

The sound alone made Alyssa cringe, as she kept a death grip on Scott, watching as the two of them crouched on the floor, watching Jackson write with his nails on the board. 'Stay out of my way or I'll kill all of you'. It read, and it sent shivers down Alyssa's spine.
They needed Derek, it was clear now - this was too much to handle on their own, and they all knew it, as much as Alyssa hated to admit it.. They need him.

Scott headed towards the board to get a better look at it, while Alyssa ran straight to Erica, who seemed to be having some kind of epileptic fit. Stiles was already rushing down the isle, pulling Erica up on his lap as he held her close to relieve some of her pain, but Alyssa knew that it wouldn't do any good.
"Scott, we need help!" Stiles shouted, not having any clue at what was going on, but Alyssa knew that it was some sort of reaction to being paralysed, like the venom had reacted in a completely different way to anyone else.. "I think she's having a seizure. We need to get her to a hospital." He said, as Scott rushed back over.

"Derek." Alyssa instantly spoke up, holding Erica's hand, "She needs Derek." She told Scott directly, knowing he would understand.

Scott didn't like to think that he had to go and visit him, it was the last thing he wanted to do. He turned to Allison to let her know their plan. "When we get her to the hospital.." He began to tell her, only for Alyssa to snap at him.

"She needs Derek, Scott! Can't you see that?" Alyssa snapped at him, not entirely meaning to, but annoyed at the fact he had disregarded what she just told him. "We have to go to Derek!" She said.

Scott looked at Alyssa, then back at Allison, like he was debating something in his mind, trying to figure out what to do. It wasn't long until he lifted Erica up, ushering for Stiles and Alyssa to follow. And that, they did..

Alyssa knew exactly where to take Scott, so it didn't take them long to get there. Even if Derek may have not wanted the two boys to know where he and the pack were living, Erica needed help, and that was all that mattered right now.
To say Derek was shocked when he saw his sister at the door, was an understatement, but after seeing Erica in her state, he knew why she had come, and instantly let her and the two boys in with his beta.
They all rushed into the train cart, before Derek ordered Stiles to hold her up. "Is she dying?" The boy couldn't help but ask, he had never seen Erica like this before, and it scared him.

"She might, I.. Which is why this is gonna hurt." Derek told the three of them.

Before he did so, Alyssa sat down besides Erica and brushed the hair out of her face, knowing exactly what Derek was about to do, "Take a deep breath." She instructed, before it started.

Erica's screams were horrifying, but after pulling her arm apart, Derek eventually managed to get the venom out of her, causing Erica to pass out in Stiles' hold.
Watching the girl she was friends with suffer in this way was hard for Alyssa - the two had gotten along great when she was apart of the pack, and she couldn't help but think that she had just abandoned them all. She felt awful..

After Erica had been through hell, Alyssa stood in front of her old room, which hadn't been touched since she had left, and she couldn't help but wish she never had left. As much as she loved being with Scott and Stiles, she just felt whole here, even if it wasn't the best place to live.. It was home.
"You're coming back, aren't you?" She heard Scott ask her, as he came up from behind, having seen her standing in the doorway.

Scott could tell that the second Alyssa walked through the front doors, she had made up her mind. Seeing Derek again after everything that happened had just opened up something in her mind, and he knew that she was going to leave him and Stiles behind.
Alyssa sighed at his question. "This is my family, Scott." She told him, finally turning around to face him.

"We're your family." He told her, breaking the small gap between the two of them that they could feel each others breath on their faces.
Alyssa closed her eyes as she felt his fingers brush down the side of her face gently, silently begging her to come back with him. "Is this going to change things?" Scott asked.

Alyssa opened her eyes to look up at Scott, "No." She instantly answered, "Nothing could change the way I feel for you, you know that." She told him.
Alyssa hadn't openly admitted her feelings for Scott, and doing so had made it so much more real - it felt nice to finally get it out of her system, and the way Scott smiled, meant that he felt the exact same way as her.

"Good." He breathed.

Scott couldn't take this anymore - he believed that going for Alyssa so soon would be a slap in the face to Allison, but he couldn't help his feelings, and he felt that if he didn't act now, he could ruin his chance.
So he acted.. He began to lean in close, pausing slightly to make sure that Alyssa wanted the same thing. When he saw that she, too, was leaning in, he went for it.

Feeling Alyssa's lips against his own was something he had dreamt about for so long, and it felt just as good as he thought it would. He felt like the entire world had stopped spinning just for the two of them, and that nothing else mattered. Not Jackson, not Derek, and not Allison.
It was just the two of them.
Alyssa felt like her whole body was on fire as she felt Scott's lips on her own - it was something that she hadn't thought would happen so fast, but she was glad it did.

Their lips moved in sync as Scott stroked her hair, the two of them keeping each other close until they knew they had to let go and head back to reality. This kiss was something they both needed, and it felt like all of their stress had been released. By this time, Scott had taken ahold of Alyssa's face, and the two hadn't even noticed that the others had stopped talking in the other room, before they heard a cough, and the two instantly broke apart.
Embarrassment was all Alyssa could feel when she saw her older brother waiting for them. It was the last thing that she needed Derek to see, especially after the two hadn't spoken for so long. "Stiles is waiting for you." Derek told Scott, sending a glare his way.
Alyssa knew that Scott shouldn't take it personal - after all, Derek hated every boy she had ever been with..

"Right, yeah.. Stiles." Scott stuttered, scratching the back of his head awkwardly. He turned to Alyssa with a sheepish smile, not exactly knowing what to do in this situation, "I'll see you tomorrow?" He asked her.

Alyssa nodded, and watched as Scott walked away, making sure to leave a huge gap between himself and Derek, afraid that the man might murder him in one touch.
The second Derek heard Scott and Stiles leave, he turned to Alyssa with an eyebrow raised. "Scott?" He asked.

Alyssa shook her head in annoyance, "I didn't come here to be made fun of, Derek." She told him, moving around her room so she could grab some things to make her bed with.

Derek sighed, "I know, you're right." He told his sister, knowing that he had to apologise now, before it was too late, and she may never talk to him again. "I'm sorry." He eventually told her, causing Alyssa to look up in shock, having not expected him to apologise to her at all..
She furrowed her brows in confusion as she looked over his face, reading him, and she knew that he actually meant it. A smile spread across her face instantly, and Derek took this as his chance. "I was an ass. I should have treated you better and I know that now." He explained.

That was all the apology that Alyssa needed. Just the look on his face told her that he truly meant it and he truly felt sorry for how he acted towards her.
Without saying anything, Alyssa ran into his hold, instantly clinging onto him as he hugged her back, the two having missed each other dearly.

"This doesn't mean I'm not going to murder Scott when I next see him." Derek mumbled, causing Alyssa to chuckle slightly.

"Shut up."
