( 𝟎𝟑𝟑 ) the fight with jackson
'restraint'
⋅⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅⋅
ALYSSA KNEW THAT she should go back home to Derek, but when she was secretly staying at Stiles' house, the boy didn't treat her like garbage, something her brother had been doing a lot since he had become the alpha. Even if she had to hide from his father every time he entered Stiles' bedroom, it was better sleeping on a rotten mattress on the floor like she had been with her brother and the rest of the pack.. Her and Stiles would even take turns on who would get the bed for the night - they had a pretty good routine going on, and Alyssa actually liked it.
But the full moon was coming up, and without Derek, Alyssa didn't know how she was going to get through it. After all, her brother had been there to help her every single time, and without him, she feared she would do something terrible. Not only that, but the Argent's were on her tail at all times; she couldn't risk anything.
How Derek was going to stop his pack from shifting and killing someone, she didn't even know, and it made her incredibly nervous.. No matter how upset she was with her brother right now, if he needed help keeping the Argent's away, she would jump at the opportunity, after all, they're family.
Since Scott and Stiles had been grounded after being found kidnapping Jackson, which the two had taken the blame for while Alyssa made a quick getaway, so no one knew she was there, and for some reason, Jackson hadn't mentioned her.. She didn't even know why, her brother had threatened him a bunch of times and even attempted to kill him, why would he protect Alyssa like that? It was strange..
School hadn't been any better, what, with Scott and Allison still needing to talk in order to find more about the Kanima and why Jackson couldn't remember anything when he was shifted - she knew they were broken up, and Scott wouldn't go back to the hunter.. Well, she thought. It was a known fact that Allison still had feelings for the boy, and Alyssa couldn't do anything to stop that, but it still made her anxious.
She would laugh at herself if she knew that she would be pawning over some boy six months back. The thought even sounded incredibly stupid to her now, but boy, has Scott McCall really changed her..
Alyssa's thoughts were interrupted, when Allison came to the bookshelf next to them with her tablet in hand, having found out the translation in the book about supernatural creatures from Lydia. Obviously, with the cameras her crazy grandpa had put up around the school, she couldn't talk to any of them besides Stiles, so they had to pretend they didn't even know Allison.. Not that it bothered Alyssa, anyway.
Scott reached into the shelf and took the tablet off of Allison, immediately beginning to scroll through it, as Allison spoke up, "It's everything Lydia can translate." She told the three of them, as Alyssa peeked over Scott's shoulder to read the tablet. "And trust me, she was very confused." She finished.
"The less she knows, the better." Alyssa told Allison, knowing that Lydia would just ask countless of questions about what they are doing, and they didn't need that right now.
"What did you tell her?" Scott asked.
"That we were part of an online gaming community that battled mythical creatures." Allison answered, having not known what else to say to Lydia.
Alyssa chuckled, knowing that Stiles was literally a part of something like that, and as much as he had tried to hide it from her, she knew.. "I am part of an online gaming community that battles mythical creatures." Stiles spoke up, offended that they would all be laughing at his hobby.
Scott instantly looked over at Alyssa, asking her silently if it was true, and she nodded at him with a cheeky grin on her face, causing the two to chuckle under their breaths. Allison watched this encounter, and didn't feel any better about herself, she hated the fact she had lost her boyfriend to a werewolf, of all people, but there was nothing she could do, Scott had told her how he felt, and the only thing she could do now, was move on, and pretend that Alyssa and Scott together didn't upset her in the slightest.
"Okay, does it say how to find out who's controlling him?" Scott asked his ex-girlfriend, now turning back to face her, all while Stiles looked at them all in offence for laughing at his hobby.
"Not really. But Stiles was right about the murderers" Allison told him.
This caused Stiles to have some kind of fit, shouting, "Yes!" A little too loud, causing some other students to look over in confusion. Alyssa rolled her eyes at his behaviour, sending him a small nudge to get him to shut the hell up, which he just shrugged at - no one ever listened to him.
"It calls the Kanima a weapon of vengeance." Allison continued, after Stiles' idiotic shout, "There's a story in there about this South American priest who uses the Kanima to execute murderers in his village." She explained.
"All right, see? So maybe it's not all that bad." Stiles tried to enlighten the situation, when they all knew that this situation couldn't get any worse.
"Until the bond grew strong enough that it killed whoever it wanted to." Allison told Stiles.
Alyssa sighed in frustration, knowing that this could well indeed happen in time - they didn't know who was controlling Jackson and why, but the last thing they needed was for Jackson to kill the whole damn town.
"That is not good." Alyssa said, looking around at their surroundings to double check that no one was listening to them. If they did, people would think they're crazy.
"Yup, that is bad. Very bad." Stiles mumbled along with Alyssa.
Alyssa knew that she had to tell Derek this new information, but what if he already knew it all and hadn't told her anything? She would be hurt if he kept something that big from her, but then again, she wasn't exactly jumping to the opportunity to tell him what Allison had found out. It was mostly because she was nervous he would kill Jackson without a second thought, and she didn't want that happening - yes, he was a horrible person and Alyssa hated his guts, but he didn't exactly deserve to die..
If you asked her to kill Jackson a few months ago, she wouldn't have blinked before doing so, living at Beacon Hills had really changed her for the better.
Alyssa didn't listen as Allison spoke up again, instead, she was reading what Lydia had translated, and it wasn't looking good for them. Jackson needed to overcome something in his past until he can truly transform into a werewolf and rid the Kanima side of him, and that boy probably had so much going on in his life, that he was probably never going to get the chance to do so. He could be stuck..
How they were even going to help him get past whatever was going on with him, Alyssa didn't know, this whole situation with the boy was getting worse as time went on, and she just hoped that they will be able to stop him..
"What if it has something to do with his parents?" Allison asked, trying to put the pieces together on Jackson's past.
Alyssa scoffed, "What? That boy has everything he could possibly need." She said.
"His real parents." Allison corrected, causing Alyssa to look at her with wide eyes, not scorching that to come out of her mouth, she had no idea that Jackson was adopted.
"Jackson's adopted?" She asked.
Allison nodded, as the two boys behind her tried to piece it together in their heads, "Yeah, does anybody actually know what happened to them?" Scott asked.
"Lydia might." Stiles said.
Alyssa was still in shock that Jackson was adopted - this could be the answer to everything, if they found out about his real parents, that may be the answer to everything.
She was still thinking when she heard the suggestion about Allison trying to talk to Jackson, with everyone agreeing that it could be a good plan, with Scott and Stiles having a restraining order put on them from him.
However, Alyssa didn't.. "I can go with her, make sure everything goes alright." She decided to speak up. Alyssa still didn't have that much of a problem with Allison; the girl always helped and wasn't like her other family at all, so it's not like Alyssa wanted to see her hurt, "After all, he could shift at any moment, none of us knows if it's safe to go near him." She added.
Scott nodded, "That's a good idea." He said, even though inside, he was already worrying about Alyssa getting hurt - he wouldn't be able to forgive himself, especially since he had to be in make-up exam. "I can come with you two and.." He began to explain, as he didn't care about missing his exam, only, Alyssa interrupted him.
"You need to go and retake your exam." Alyssa told him, knowing that his mom would kill him if he failed again, "I can handle Jackson if he tries anything, I'll wait outside, and come in when he does anything, okay?" She assured him.
She just wanted him to know that she had this, and that he needed to stay away and finish his exam, and pass. Not everyone gets this chance, and he needs to do it right.
"But what if something bad happens?" He couldn't help but ask, forgetting about Stiles and Allison as they waited for them to finish.
"I can handle myself, Scott." Alyssa smiled. She had never had someone care for her this much, and she actually liked it - not even Derek had acted this concerned whenever they lived together. It made her realise what a great guy Scott really was.
Scott reached over and took her hand in his, "If anything happens, you just call my name. I'll hear you." He told her, knowing that he would be listening into her heartbeat while he would be taking his exam.
Alyssa gave his hand a squeeze while Allison watched in pure jealousy. "Everything will be fine." She told him, keeping her smile on her face, convincing him that the talk with Jackson will be just that.. A talk.
Scott eventually nodded and turned to face Allison, "The same goes to you. Call if you need help." He told her.
Just because he had broken up with her, it didn't mean that he didn't care if she was safe or not - after all, they could still be friends, it didn't have to matter if they weren't together anymore..
Allison smiled at this, having thought that she had lost Scott for good, but the fact he still cared, warmed her heart. "I will." She told him.
Alyssa sighed, "Okay. Let's go." She told Allison, knowing that it was going to be awkward as hell being alone with her, but they had to do it sometime.. She just wished it wasn't today. Before following after Allison, she turned to Scott, "Focus on your exam, okay?" She asked, leaning up to plant a kiss on his cheek, before eventually following after Allison, leaving Scott red faced and watching her walk away.
Scott didn't want to rush things between him and Alyssa, especially since he had just broken up with Allison - but he just couldn't push the thoughts back of how badly he wanted to kiss her, and hold her tight.. But he couldn't, at least, not yet. He wanted to do this right, and if waiting for the right moment was how he was going to do it, then so be it, he was going to wait, because Alyssa Hale was worth it.
——
Alyssa found that the walk with Allison wasn't as awkward as she thought it would be, but that may have been the fact that they hadn't said two words to each other since their departure from Scott and Stiles. The two girls just didn't know what to say to each other, they both knew that Allison had something to say, but it just wasn't the best time to do so. The only thing that mattered as of this moment, was getting the information out of Jackson, and finding out how to stop him once and for all, to stop all of the killings.
It was only a few minutes till they got to the boys changing room, and Alyssa nodded her head at Allison, silently telling the girl that she had her back if anything went down. Alyssa would go in there herself, but she knew that Jackson wouldn't want to talk to her, and if he was to talk to anyone, the last person he would want to is her, and he actually liked Allison, so it is the best choice to send her in.
Allison was nervous, but she knew she had to go in there and talk to him, and the fact that Alyssa was waiting just outside for her, made her feel so much better. Alyssa could sense the nerves coming off of Allison, and placed her hand on the girls arm. "You've got this." She whispered, giving the girl the confidence that she needed to go ahead.
Allison took a deep breath, before eventually heading into the changing rooms, while Alyssa took guard, and made sure no one entered the room while she was talking to him.
She was listening in as Allison approached Jackson, before attempting to leave as he was naked - she didn't know why Jackson was acting so weird, as he hadn't even shifted, but she didn't like it one bit.
It was when she heard his hand slam against the wall, did she take action, and walk in, having seen the last thing she wanted to see.. Jackson naked, cornering Allison.
"What the hell are you doing?" Alyssa yelled, advancing on the boy, as he simply smirked up at her.
"If it isn't the boyfriend stealer." Jackson snarled, letting go of Allison and standing up straight, glaring at the werewolf in front of him. "How does it feel knowing that you stole Allison's boyfriend like the little whore you are?" He asked her, knowing the insult would hurt.
Unknown to the two of them, Scott was listening in from his exam room, having been using most of his strength to listen out for Alyssa and her heart rate, and when he heard Jackson insult the girl, it was the last straw. He bunked his exam, and was already on his way over.
Alyssa's eyes glowed yellow at his words, and she was trying hard not to advance on him in this very moment in time, but it seemed that he wasn't budging.
"Ah, am I upsetting you?" Jackson cooed, taking a step closer while Allison watched in panic, backing up as she was scared a fight would break out between the two of them. "Pretty ironic, isn't it? You ruining Allison's life, when it should be the other way around, you and your dead family." He laughed.
Alyssa had enough at this point, instead of trying to calm Jackson down, he had angered her to the point where she wanted to kill him. Without even thinking about what she was doing, she rushed forwards, sending a punch to the side of Jackson's face, but when it didn't faze him, she growled.
Jackson retaliated, and shoved her backwards, sending her flying into the wall behind them, cracking it slightly, and Alyssa fell to the floor in pain, grunting as the wind was knocked out of her. She hadn't known that Jackson would have that much strength when he wasn't shifted as a kanima, and she was now rethinking her decision in fighting him in case he ended up paralysing her..
Before the girl even got the chance to get back up, Jackson was on top of her, grabbing her throat as she clawed at his face, trying to get him off of her. In the background, she could hear Allison shouting for him to get off of her, but Alyssa could tell that he wasn't planning on letting go of her throat anytime soon - his eyes screamed murder, and right now, she was afraid that Jackson was going to kill her..
Alyssa's eyesight was beginning to blur and she had really begun to believe that this was her last moments on earth, until her saviour came to her rescue.
Scott rushed into the room with his eyes already glowing in anger at what Jackson had said to Alyssa, and when he had seen the boy, naked on top of her, strangling the life out of her, he only saw red, and needed to get Jackson off of her.
Within seconds, Jackson had been ripped off of Alyssa and pushed to the other side of the room, allowing Allison to run to the girls aid, pushing aside all of their differences as she had just seen the girl nearly die.
Scott advanced on Jackson at that very moment, and the two began fighting - breaking the sinks around the changing room and breaking any bench that was in their way, all while Allison attempted to lift Alyssa up and lean her against the wall so she could catch her breath.
It wasn't until the two boys broke through the door and ended up fighting in the hallway, did Erica pull them apart, as Alyssa and Allison finally joined them all in the hallway, shocked at what had just happened.
"What do you idiots think you're doing? Jackson! Calm down!" The teacher yelled, as Scott and Jackson were finally ripped apart from each other. "Mr. McCall, you wanna explain yourself?" He asked Scott. "Stilinski? Hale?" He asked any student he could, but when no one answered, he had enough, giving them all detention.
This day couldn't get any worse. Alyssa thought..
