( 𝟎𝟐𝟓 ) finding another beta
'ice pick'

ALYSSA HAD ALWAYS hated gym - due to the fact that she had to hold back her abilities so she wouldn't risk being exposed as a werewolf. Also, the fact that Scott had to do the same thing since he had been bitten and turned, confused the girl at why he enjoyed it so much.
She just wanted the lesson to be over, especially since Scott had started to grill her with questions about what she and Derek had been up to since they last saw each other during the full moon.
"Are you and Derek planning on turning anyone else?" He asked, as they both climbed side by side up the rock wall, Scott a little further down than Alyssa.
Alyssa rolled her eyes, "If you were apart of the pack, you would know." She told him, looking down to see that he was being deadly serious - he needed to know, and she could tell that he wasn't going to let it go easily, "I can't tell you, you know that." She then told him, confused at why he thought she would betray her brother and tell him anything.
"You need to stop turning people." He said, coming to a stop below her, looking up.
He didn't want to admit it, as he was currently with Allison, but he was highly enjoying the view from below Alyssa..
"We can turn whoever we want as long as they're willing." Alyssa told him, also stopping and looking down at him.
Upon noticing what he was staring at, she shook her head with a smirk, and waved at him to gain his attention, "Why are you so slow?" She asked.
She had noticed that since they had started climbing the wall, he had been lagging behind, with Alyssa clearly beating him to the top.
"I'm not slow." Scott defended.
A second later, the two werewolves began to raise their eyebrows at each other, knowing exactly what they wanted to do, and within the next few seconds, the two of them began to race to the top of the wall, using all of the energy they could.
The rest of the class wasn't paying attention, besides Allison, who had been watching the two of them the whole time with furrowed brows - she didn't like how the two of them had been acting recently, and she didn't know what to do about it, considering that she and Scott weren't even meant to be dating.
Was she losing Scott?
Alyssa had gotten to the point where she couldn't hear Scott climb besides her anymore, and she smirked to herself once she reached the top of the rock wall, however, when she looked to the side of her, she saw Scott, already at the top, smirking to himself that he had beaten her in the race.
"You were saying?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at her. He had definitely shown her that he was not slow..
Alyssa huffed, and without thinking about what she was doing, she smiled sweetly at him, before kicking her leg out, causing Scott to slip off of his hold on the rock wall, sending him flying to the ground.
The other students gasped at the height that Scott had fallen, whereas Alyssa kept the smile on her face, gracefully floating down besides him. As she looked down at the boy on the floor, she crouched to his level and placed a hand on his chest, "You were saying?" She asked mockingly, before laughing to herself and walking away from him.
Scott couldn't hide the smile on his face at what Alyssa had just done, and he also couldn't keep his eyes off of her as she walked away to other students, ready for the next set of students to take their turn in climbing.
Allison still watched in suspicion, noticing that not only had Alyssa changed the way she looked at Scott, but Scott also, and it broke her heart.
She didn't think Scott loved her anymore.
Alyssa was walking to her next lesson, daydreaming in the hallways with a smile on her face because she had found another beta for Derek.. Erica; the girl who had suffered with seizures throughout her whole life.
After the moment in the gym in which she seized from attempting to climb the rock wall alone after class, Alyssa had instantly called Derek to let him know where she would be, and immediately, she had said yes to the bite, becoming the newest member of the Hale pack.
However, her smile had faded once she turned a corner in the hallway and witnessed Jackson practically threatening Lydia, who was crying.
Immediately, Alyssa stormed towards Jackson and shoved him away from Lydia, not liking the way he was talking to her, "Back off, Jackson." She snarled, sending him a warning look.
When he simply glared back at her, she snarled slightly, glowing her yellow eyes at him threateningly, "Walk away." She warned.
And with that, Jackson stormed off, practically heaving in anger - she didn't know why he would think that Lydia had prevented him from turning into a werewolf, as it was a stupid idea.. He simply wasn't fit for the bite, that was all. Although, it was strange that he hadn't died from rejecting the bite, as normally, that's what happens. Something was defiantly wrong with Jackson, and Alyssa needed to find out what that was, and fast.
"Thankyou." Lydia quietly thanked, pulling her bag back over her shoulder from where it had fallen down.
Alyssa nodded, noticing that she looked like she was about to break down, "Are you okay?" She asked, reaching her hand out to the popular girl.
She hadn't always had the best relationship with Lydia - the two barely getting along, having nothing in common, but Alyssa still liked the girl, and Lydia definitely didn't deserve what Jackson just did to her. Hell, she didn't deserve any of the things that had happened to her since last year - the poor girl had been through a lot.
Lydia nodded softly, before motioning that she had to leave, and instantly began walking away from Alyssa, heading towards the bathroom so she could cry alone.
She was about to follow, but when she received a text from Derek about helping Erica out, she sighed, and decided not to go after Lydia; she could see how she was doing another day, as right now, she had more important things to do..
——
Watching everyone's reactions at school at how Erica had completely changed for the better, was something that Alyssa loved to see. And the fact that Erica was now incredibly happy, was a relief, as before she received the bite, she was a complete loser and she hated school.
At least, now, she could enjoy school and enjoy the attention she got, in a better light than before.
But.. Seeing Scott's shocked face, had been the highlight of Alyssa's day, knowing that he couldn't stop what she and Derek were planning, was amazing..
The fact that he thought he could stop whatever the siblings were doing, was ridiculous - they were creating an army, just like the hunters, and they weren't going to give up..
When Erica took a boys apple and bit down on it in a flirty manner, Alyssa could hear Lydia complaining to the boys, and as Erica met up with the Hale girl once more, she met Scott's eyes.
Sending him a flirty wink in a playful manner, she followed behind Erica out of the school, having a smile on her face the whole time... She had truly gotten under Scott's skin.
"Are you sure about him?" Alyssa asked Derek, following after him through their abandoned hideout the next day.
When she heard that he wanted to give the bite to a boy named Boyd, who she knew of, it surprised her, as he didn't seem like the kind of guy that would want the bite.
He seemed like the kind of guy that would just stick to himself, and not bother what other people think of him - but if he said yes to Derek, then Alyssa thought completely wrong.
"He could be a good asset to the pack." Derek told her, barely paying attention to his sister as he walked away from her.
Derek didn't think that he should have to answer to Alyssa, after all, he was the alpha, and she was simply a beta.. She answered to him.
"But he isn't like Isaac and Erica, he doesn't need this." She tried to reason, "I thought we were only turning people who needed this, and they had a horrible life."
Alyssa was fine with giving the bite to people who wanted it for a reason, like Isaac's or Erica's - but Boyd didn't seem like he had a great reason for turning. She thought that Derek was doing this just because Boyd was big and muscly, meaning that he would be incredibly strong if he was to take the bite and turn.
He was beginning to use them, and she didn't know how to feel about it.
"I'll bite who I want, okay?" Derek snapped slightly, turning around to face his demanding sister - it wasn't often that the two thought, but lately, there had been tension between them, with having different views about who they should be turning and how they should be running things.
Overall, it was Derek's decision, not Alyssa's.
"But I thought we told Scott.." She began to argue, only for Derek to instantly interrupt her, not liking the fact that she had begun to take the boys side over her own brothers.
"Who cares what we told Scott." Derek scoffed, finding it unbelievable that she was even questioning him about this.
"If you agree with Scott so much, why don't you go to him?" He retorted, knowing that the two had been hanging out a lot more recently than they had before.
He had seen the way the two looked at each other, and he knew that look from when he was younger.
Right now, Scott believed that he loved Allison because the kid didn't like to be wrong, but Derek could see that it wasn't the case; and as much as he didn't want to admit it, he thought that Alyssa felt the same way.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Alyssa complained, crossing her arms over her chest.
She didn't like the look he was giving her, it made her feel small, and she hated it.
"You know what I mean." Derek replied, giving her a knowing look, before storming off, leaving his sister alone to dwell in her thoughts.
She didn't understand the hostility she was getting from her brother, and she sure as hell didn't appreciate it.
If he didn't start treating her better, she was going to do something about it, wether Derek liked it or not..
Erica had fully gotten the hang of being a werewolf, and Alyssa was proud of her - within the next few days of her being bitten, Erica had found a new fashion taste, a new attitude and a whole new personality.
She was completely happy now, and Alyssa couldn't be more happier for her.
Alyssa on the other hand - her mood had gone down in the past few weeks, being degraded by her brother and bossed around to no end had really taken a toll out of her, and she didn't know how to change that - she was exhausted.
"Two's not enough for Derek." Scott told Erica, as she was fixing her makeup in her locker mirror, "I know he needs at least three, so who's next?" He asked.
Scott knew that he wasn't getting anything out of Alyssa, so asking Erica was the next best thing.
Erica scoffed, shitting her locker and facing Scott, "Why does there have to be a next when we've already got you?" She asked.
As well as Alyssa, Erica had been given the task to keep Scott out of the loop, unless he joined the pack, and Erica believed that she could do a better job, as she wasn't afraid to get dirty, unlike the younger Hale, who had too much sympathy towards McCall.
"Who's next?" Scott asked, slightly louder this time, not wanting to deal with her.
It made him appreciate talking to Alyssa a lot more, as at least she understood where he was coming from. In fact, he hadn't seen Alyssa lately, and he had become worried that something might have happened to her..
"You know, I never knew what I looked like during a seizure until someone took a video of me once and put it online?" Erica began to explain.
"I don't care." Scott told her, just wanting to find out who Derek was going to bite next.
"It happened during class." Erica continued, ignoring Scott completely, "I started seizing in my desk and everyone was saying how they should put something in my mouth until some genius reads the card on my key ring which tells him not to 'cause it could break my teeth."
"Erica." Scott sighed.
"Do you know what happens next?" She asked, getting teary over her story that was one of the worst moments in her life, "I piss myself. And they start laughing.." She carried on, moving forwards, causing Scott to walk backwards, " You know, the only good thing about seizures was that I never remembered them. Until some brilliant jerkoff." She shouted, pushing Scott back into the locker behind them, "Had to go and put cameras in everybody's phones."
As soon as she began to stroke the side of his face, it was when Alyssa finally arrived to meet Erica. Upon seeing the interaction, she froze in her spot, with it being the last thing she expected to see.
However, when Scott noticed the Hale girl down the hall, Erica scoffed, "That's right, you only have eyes for her." She told him, knowing exactly what was going on between the two of them, "It's a shame for Allison.. Poor girl. Must be hard when your boyfriend is in love with someone else."
This was when Scott had enough, and he gripped Erica's hands hard, pulling them back down to their original place.
When he looked back over at Alyssa, she was gone..
