'heart monitor'

LAST NIGHT, DEREK had attacked Scott, not telling that it was actually him attacking; so that he could try and teach him how to defend himself. Alyssa honestly just couldn't be bothered, so she opted to stay home instead.
Derek told her that he failed, because Allison had rang him during the chase and gave Scott's hiding place away.
Scott has been told to stay away from her, but Alyssa knew that he wouldn't listen to Derek. So now, she had to hang out with Scott and Stiles, to ensure that he didn't speak to Allison.
"Wha... He wants you to tap into your animal side and get angry?" Stiles asked in disbelief as the three of the walked down the school hallway.
"Yeah." Scott confirmed, nodding his head.
"Is your brother sane?" Stiles asked Alyssa, to which she shrugged at, she honestly didn't know. He then put his attention back to Scott, "Alright, well, correct me if I'm wrong, but every time you do that, you try to kill someone, and that someone's usually me."
"I know." Scott said, looking at the floor sadly, "That's what he means when he says that he doesn't know if he can teach me. I have to be able to control it." He told Stiles and Alyssa.
"Well, how's he gonna teach you to do that?" Stiles asked Scott.
"I don't know. I don't think he does ether." Scott answered, Alyssa didn't know what to say in this predicament, none of them has had to teach a newly bit beta how to control themselves and adapt into their werewolf side.
She knew that Derek would do everything he can to help Scott, though.
"Okay." Stiles said, then went silent before speaking again, "When are you seeing him again?" He asked.
"He told me not to talk about it. Just act normal and get through the day." Scott said, Alyssa wondered how the hell he would do that. Act normal? That isn't in his dictionary anymore.
"When?" Stiles asked again, when he wasn't answered the first time.
"After work." Alyssa answered Stiles, as Scott was dazing off into the distance.
"After work." Stiles confirmed, shaking his head, "All right, well. That gives me and Alyssa till the end of the school day then." He told Scott.
Alyssa looked at him, confused, "Who said that I was helping?" She asked him, when he gave her pleading eyes, she sighed and shook her head, "Fine, then we have till the end of the day..."
"To do what?" Scott cut her off, wanting to know what the two were talking about.
"To teach you ourselves." Stiles told him, grinning.
Alyssa knew she would regret this.

As Alyssa walked into the cafeteria with Stiles and Scott, she found Allison and Lydia sitting at another table. She excused herself and walked over to them, deciding that she would meet up with them as Stiles come up with a plan to help Scott.
"Hey, what're we talking about?" Alyssa asked as she sat down at the table; she hadn't spoken to either of the girls in a while, so she needed to start spending more time with them, or she would lose them as friends.
"La Bête du Gévaudan." Allison told her, with a huge grin on her face.
Alyssa knew the story, it was one of the first werewolf monster, the Argents were the ones to stop it.
"The what of who?" Lydia questioned in confusion, obviously not listening. She looked towards Alyssa, "Your hair is extra orange today." She pointed out, pulling a strand to examine it.
Alyssa smiled at Lydia noticing, "I dyed it again." She answered, earning a nod from Lydia as she still admired the girl's hair.
"The beast of Gêvaudan." Allison confirmed in more detail, after the girls had their squabble over Alyssa's hair, "Listen." She told them, before reading out a page in her book, "A quadruped wolf-like monster, prowling the Auvergne and South Dordogne areas of France, during the year of 1764 to 1767. La Bête killed over a hundred people, becoming so infamous that King Louie the 15th had sent one of his best hunters to try and stop it."
Alyssa nodded in interest, while Lydia sighed, "Boring." She said, while picking at her nail polish.
"Even the church eventually declared the monster, a messenger of Satan." Allison continued.
"Still boring." Lydia said.
"Cryptozoologists believe that it may be a subspecies of hoofed predator, possibly a mesonychild." Allison read the book more, pronouncing every single French word correctly.
"Slipping into a coma bored." Lydia carried on, exhaling loudly, pretending as if she were falling asleep.
"While others believe it was a powerful sorcerer who could shape-sift into a man-eating monster." Allison carried on.
"Any of this has to do with your family?" Alyssa asked, so she sounded interested.
"This." Allison said, as she began to read from the book once more, "It is believed that La Bête was finally trapped and killed by a renown hunter who claimed his wife and four children were the first to fall prey to the creature. His name was Argent." She finished, with an even wider smile.
"Your ancestors killed a big wolf." Lydia stared in boredom, "So what?"
Allison shook her head, "Not just a big wolf. Take a look at this picture." She then turned the book around to show Lydia and Alyssa the picture, "What does it look like to you?"
Alyssa saw that Lydia was staring at the book with both recognition and fear on her face. The sketch of the wolf was exactly like the alpha that was roaming around Beacon Hills at this date. Alyssa was positive that Lydia had seen the alpha, hence why she was terrified at the picture.
"Lydia?" Alyssa asked, trying to get Lydia to snap out of her daze.
Allison waved a hand in front of her face, "Lydia?" She asked.
"It looks..." Lydia mumbled quietly, before snapping out of her trance and regaining her composure, "Like a big wolf... See you in history."
Allison furrowed her brows as Lydia hurried away, Alyssa simply shrugged at Allison and hurried away to Scott and Stiles, before Allison could speak any further on the wolf situation.
"The book is making it obvious." Alyssa told Scott as she sat down next to Stiles, and opposite him, he was holding the text book up to cover his face and hiding from Allison, "You come up with a plan yet?" She then asked Stiles.
"I think so." Stiles told her.
"So, yes or no?" She asked him again, with an eyebrow raised.
"Yes. I came up with a plan." Stiles replied, mockingly.
Alyssa opened her mouth to argue back at Stiles, but Scott had interrupted before she got the chance, "Does that mean you don't hate me now?" He asked Stiles.
Alyssa had forgotten that Scott had saved Allison from getting hit by a car, allowing Stiles' Dad get hit by one instead.
"No." Stiles said, bluntly, "But your crap has infiltrated my life, so now I have to do something about it. Plus, I'm definitely a better Yoda than Derek."
Alyssa furrowed her brows in confusion, "What's a Yoda?" She asked Stiles.
Stiles looked at her in complete shock and was about to talk about how he is shocked that she doesn't know what Yoda is, but Scott had interrupted him once again.
"Okay, yeah. Teach me." He said.
Stiles seemed happy at that, "Yeah. I'll be your Yoda." He told Scott.
"Yeah. You be my Yoda." Scott repeated, nodding along with Stiles while Alyssa looked at them both with furrowed brows.
"Your Yoda I will be." Stiles said, earning odd looks from both Scott and Alyssa, neither of them understanding what he said. He then caught on, "I said it backwards." He corrected.
"Yeah... I know." Scott muttered, staring off at Allison from the table across from them.
Alyssa and Stiles turned around to see him staring at Allison, realising that she was the reason Scott was getting distracted, "All right, you know what? I definitely still hate you. Uh-huh. Oh, yeah." Stiles told Scott.
"Me too." Alyssa told Scott, just as Allison had noticed Scott's presence.
"Scott?" Allison called, from her table, while gathering up her things, "Alyssa?"
"Good luck." Alyssa told Scott, before hurrying off to History with Lydia, avoiding the awkward conversation with Allison.

"Don't tell Derek that I'm helping you." Alyssa told Stiles and Scott, as she watched Stiles lull out various equipment from the athletics apartment, so he can use them on teaching Scott some control.
He pulled out a cell phone that looked like Coach's, "Is that..."
"Coach's phone, yeah. We've established that." Stiles huffed, while Scott was trying to figure out the heart monitor that Stiles had stolen.
Once he got the heart monitor working, Stiles had tied Scott's hands behind his back, with duct tape. Alyssa knew that this wasn't going to hold Scott, in order to keep a werewolf down, they needed chains, lots of them. She was going to let Stiles learn the hard way though.
"This isn't exactly how I wanted to spend my free period." Scott scoffed, as he walked out into the middle of the field.
"All right, you ready?" Stiles called to him as him and Alyssa stood with their lacrosse sticks and balls, ready to throw them at Scott.
"No." Scott admitted, just as Alyssa had taken her first shot at him, succeeding by hitting his chest. He got the wind knocked out of him.
"Woo!" Alyssa cheered, "I got him!" She said, excitedly; Stiles held up a hand to high-five her, which she happily hit, due to her hitting Scott, first time. She thought that maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all.
Stiles then took a shot and hit Scott in the shoulder, causing the two to high-five, yet again. "You're enjoying this too much." Scott complained.
"Remember, don't get angry!" Stiles reminded him, with a grin.
"I'm starting to think that this was a really bad idea." Scott admitted to the two of them, as they carried on hurling balls at Scott.
"Stay calm!" Alyssa shouted to him, as he kept swearing and muttering curse word after every bit, "Remember to think about your heart rate."
"Stay calm. Staring calm. Staying totally calm." Scott repeated to himself, noticing that the balls had stopped coming, "There's no balls flying at me..."
He was cut off by Stiles hit, which landed right on his stomach, "You know what? I think my aim is actually improving." Stiles spoke, as Scott groaned in pain.
"Mine too." Alyssa agreed, "Maybe I should join the team." She smirked.
This was the most fun that she has had in a while.
"Wonder why." Scott grumbled in anger.
"Don't get angry." Stiles told Scott, after hearing the heart monitor raise once again.
"I'm not getting angry." Scott objected, although his body language showed otherwise.
A few balls to the face later, Scott had enough, he fell to the floor in agony, while his heart rate sped up in a matter of seconds.
"Scott?" Alyssa called to him, knowing that he was losing control.
He pulled the restraints back from his hands and placed his hands onto the ground, while facing the floor. His claws had come out and were digging into the soil, as his eyes had glowed for a second.
This is when he had calmed down, and he slowly shifted back to his human form, breathing heavily as he did so.
Alyssa let out a breath of relief as well as Stiles, as they both approached the teenage werewolf, slowly and cautiously, to make sure that they didn't startle him.
"Scott?" Stiles questioned, as they had reached Scott, who was in a ball on the floor. He placed a hand on Scott's shoulder, gently.
"Scott, you started to change." He said.
"You changed back though. That was really good." Alyssa commented, making sure to praise him.
She wasn't sure that any new beta would be able to do that, she was right when she said that Scott was determined.
"From anger." Scott said, through clenched teeth, "But it was more than that. It was like, the angrier I got, the stronger I felt."
"So it is anger, then. Derek's right." Stiles commented.
Alyssa scoffed, "Derek's always right." She told him.
"I can't be around Allison." Scott told his two friends.
Alyssa knew that already, due to the fact that she is a hunter, or will be. But she didn't think he meant that.
"Because she makes you happy?" Stiles asked Scott.
Alyssa and Stiles looked at Scott confusingly, waiting for an explanation.
"Because she makes me weak." He confirmed.
