'pack mentality'

ALYSSA MADE HER way inside of just the school, which was the last place that she wanted to be. Last night, she and Derek were tracking the alpha, only to find Scott, fully shifted; in the exact same location.
This was at the school bus in the front of the school.
As she walked down the hallway, she noticed a strong scent of anger, which belonged to Scott. Derek still had her on Scott duty, meaning that she still had to look out for him at school and make sure he wasn't being stupid, which was pretty hard, considering who he was.
Alyssa found him in front of Jackson's locker, which was completely dented and coming off of the hinges, Scott must have hit it.
When Scott saw Alyssa, he rushed to her side and grabbed her shoulders to get her attention, making Alyssa raise her eyebrow at him.
"Have you seen Allison?" He asked, eagerly.
Alyssa rolled her eyes, "Hello to you, too." She said sarcastically.
He ignored her comment and rushed back down the hallway in search for Allison. She watched him rush away in confusion, before walking up to Stiles.
"Why is he acting weirder than usual?" She asked him.
Stiles didn't know wether Alyssa was still mad at him for getting her brother arrested, he still suspected the both of them, but didn't voice it.
"Scott had a dream that he wolfed out and attacked Allison in the bus, last night. Then when we arrived here, we saw that the bus was covered in blood and he panicked, he thinks that he actually did attack her." He explained.
Alyssa knew for a fact that he did not attack anyone in that bus, and Allison was definitely not there; considering that Alyssa and Derek were there with Scott.
The alpha caused the scene, not Scott.
However, Alyssa knew that she couldn't tell either Scott, or Stiles, as Derek needs Scott to go to him for help.
That way, they can use Scott to get to the alpha, in order to kill him.
"Do you know anything about it?" Stiles asked her.
She shook her head, she didn't know why Derek wouldn't let her tell them about the alpha, at least. They will find out soon enough on their own.
"Alyssa!" Allison called from across the hallway, causing Alyssa to turn around, Allison then motioned for her to follow her, as they had first period together.
She nodded at Allison before turning back to Stiles, "See you later." She said, before following her friend down the hallway.

Alyssa was seated across the room from Scott and Stiles as she was in Mr. Harris' class. He was probably the worst teacher she had, she hated him.
She was taking notes on what he was saying at the same time as listening in on Scott and Stiles' conversation, which was much more interesting.
"You know, maybe you caught a rabbit or something." Stiles told Scott.
Alyssa rolled her eyes at his lame attempt at humour; it was just insulting to werewolves.
"And did what?" Scott asked.
Stiles shrugged, "Ate it." He told Scott.
Alyssa made a disgusted face; why on earth would Scott wolf out and eat a rabbit? She didn't understand how these two boys could be so stupid and clueless.
"Raw?" Scott asked, intrigued.
This made Alyssa roll her eyes. Why would the alpha pick this boy to turn, out of all people?
"No, you stopped to bake it in your little werewolf oven." Stiles dead-panned. "I don't know. You're the one who can't remember anything."
Mr. Harris interrupted their conversation, causing Alyssa to sigh in relief, she didn't know how much longer she could listen to Stiles joke about werewolves.
"Mr. Stilinski, if that's your idea of a hushed whisper, you might want to pull the headphones out every once in a while." He said, turning to look at him from his position at the front of the class, "Now, I think that you and Mr. McCall would benefit with a little distance. Yes?"
"No." Stiles replied quickly, causing Alyssa to raise an eyebrow at him, Mr. Harris also gave Stiles a look, causing the both of them to immediately pick up their things and move.
Scott moved next to Alyssa while Stiles moved to some other girl in the class.
Scott wanted to know what happened last night, so he would try and get the information out of Alyssa, hoping that she would know.
"Let me know if the separation anxiety gets to be too much." Mr. Harris said, before turning back to the board in the front of the classroom.
"Do you know what happened last night?" He asked her in a low whisper, so Mr. Harris would catch him talking again.
Alyssa shook her head, not moving her gaze from her note pad, "If you want to know anything. Go to Derek, he'll help you." She whispered back.
"But..." Scott began to say, until he was cut off from the girl who was in front of them.
"Hey I think they found something." She said, pointing at the window that was in front of the bloody bus.
Scott and Alyssa were quick to gather around the window, where the injured man from the night before was getting put into the ambulance on a gurney.
That is until he suddenly sat up and began screaming.
The whole class, Scott and Alyssa included, jumped back in fear. Alyssa had accidentally knocked into Scott, making both of them blush.
Alyssa brushed it off quickly as Scott turned to Stiles, who muttered, "This is good, this is good. He got up, he's not dead. Dead guys can't do that."
"Stiles, I did that." Scott said in sadness.
Alyssa had to push back the guilt of letting Scott believe that he did this; this was up to Derek, she was simply there for backup, just like she always had been.

It was now lunch time and Alyssa was walking with Lydia and Allison to sit down at their usual table to eat lunch.
Another thing Alyssa hated about high school, is the food, she hated it.
Lydia suddenly grabbed Alyssa's arm and pulled her the other way, towards Stiles and Scott's table. Alyssa rolled her eyes, not only did she have to watch out for them, now she had to sit with them too, this day couldn't get any worse.
When they sat down at the table, Lydia and Alyssa caught the last part of their conversation, "Figure what out?" Lydia asked, as she sat down, Alyssa took a seat next to Stiles.
"Er... Homework." Stiles stuttered, Alyssa knew that they were talking about what happened last night in the bus.
Stiles looked at Alyssa with a confused look as to ask why they are sitting with him and Scott, only for her to shrug; she really didn't know.
Danny and some other boys had now taken their places at the table; Danny sat next to Alyssa, causing her to smile at him, sincerely.
As Jackson walked up to the table, he noticed that another guy was sitting in his seat, which was next to Lydia.
"Get up." He told the boys rudely.
The boy scoffed, "Why don't you ask Danny to get up?" He asked in disbelief.
"Because I don't stare at his girlfriends coin slot." Danny retorts with an amused expression, this caused Alyssa to smile at his reply. Danny then decided to change the subject, as the boy left the table. "So, I hear they're saying that it's some type of animal attack. Probably a cougar." He explained to the rest of the group.
"I heard it was a mountain lion." Jackson spoke up with a shrug.
Lydia shook her head, speaking up, "A cougar is a mountain lion." She said.
The group of teenagers, excluding Alyssa, gave Lydia a shocked and confused expression at her being smart and knowing something clever; Alyssa already knew that she was smart, so it wasn't a surprise to her.
When Lydia noticed the looks she was getting, she added on, "Isn't it?" And pelted with her hair, trying to shrug off what she had just said.
Jackson shrugged his shoulders once more, "Who cares?" He scoffed, "The guy's probably some homeless tweaked who's gonna die anyway." He commented.
Alyssa narrowed her eyes in the boys direction, not noticing before how insensitive he was; she had hoped it was just a cover, much like Lydia, but sadly, he is just a horrible person.
"Actually, I just found out who it is." Stiles said, catching everyone's attention, "Check it out." He told them, pulling out his phone for them all to see, it was the news report on who the guy in the ambulance was.
His name is Garrison Meyers, he was in critical condition at the hospital from the attack. Alyssa couldn't find out why the alpha would attack this man, she couldn't find any connections.
"I know this guy." Scott spoke up, gasping at Stiles' phone.
"You do?" Alyssa asked Scott, with a raised eyebrow.
"Yeah. I used to take the bus back when I lived with my Dad." He explained, before looking back down at the phone screen, "He was the driver."
"Can we talk about something that is slightly more fun, please?" Lydia asked with a frown falling upon her face, she then looked up at Allison with a new interest, "Like, oh, where are we going tomorrow night? You said you and Scott were hanging out tomorrow night, right?" She asked.
Alyssa looked at Allison with confusion, if she was hanging out with Scott, she would have told her. She also noticed Scott's confused face, meaning that he didn't know about these supposed plans either.
Allison stuttered, "Um, we were thinking of what we were gonna do." She said, glancing at Scott, who looked like a lost puppy.
"Well, I am not sitting at home again, watching lacrosse videos, so the four of us are hanging out. We are doing something fun." Lydia told the couple.
Alyssa was glad that she wasn't included in this scenario as she did not want to hang out with the four of them, or get set up with another annoying lacrosse player.
"Hanging out? Like, the four of us?" Scott asked in panic, he then turned to Allison, "Do you wanna hang out, like us and them?" He stuttered.
Allison shrugged, "Yeah, I guess." She said, "Sounds fun."
Jackson scoffed, "You know what else sounds fun?" He picked up his fork, "Stabbing myself in the face with this fork." He said.
This caused Alyssa to scoff; she couldn't agree more about hanging out with the four of them. Lydia shot her a look before turning back to Jackson, "How about bowling?" She asked in desperation, "You love to bowl." She reminded him.
"Yeah. With actual competition." He said, looking over at Allison and Scott.
Allison leaned over the table with a taunting smile on her face, "How do you know we're not actual competition?" She asked him, before turning back to look at Scott, "You can bowl, right?" She asked him, causing the rest of the table to wait for his answer.
"Sort of." Scott said quietly.
Alyssa knew that Scott was lying, he didn't know how to bowl.
"Is it sort of, or yes?" Jackson asked, leaning back in his chair with his arms folded over his chest.
"Yes." Scott replied almost instantly, he then looked over in Jackson's direction with a glare, "In fact, I'm great bowler."
"Good. So it's settled." Lydia announced with a smile that was filled with accomplishment, "And Alyssa, I can set you up with another lacrosse player." She told Alyssa.
Alyssa was quick to shake her head, "Not happening Lydia." She said, "Besides, I'm visiting someone tomorrow, anyway." She told her.
Lydia rolled her eyes but agreed none the less, as she knew that she could not win anything with Alyssa.
Alyssa was the only girl that Lydia couldn't boss around, even though Lydia didn't like it, she liked the other red-head girl, as she reminded her much like herself.
Alyssa was just glad that she had gotten out of the double date.
