Chapter Four

I sigh as I watch Strongarm fall to the dirt, and Sideswipe just standing there watching. Strongarm growls as she gets up.

"Sideswipe, you're supposed to catch me!" she exclaims. "That's the whole point of a trust exercise!" She messes with something on her helm. "Aw, now my comm unit is busted."

Sideswipe looks at her, unimpressed. "Oh, sorry", he says sarcastically. "Maybe when it was my turn, you shouldn't have let me fall. THREE. TIMES. IN. A. ROW!"

"That's because you weren't falling correctly", Strongarm growls. I sigh before stepping in.

"He does have a point, though, Strongarm. Instead of you just letting him fall, because he wasn't falling correctly, you should have taught him how to fall correctly, instead of just letting him fall."

Strongarm splutters while Sideswipe grins. However, that grin falters when I turn my gaze to him. "And Sideswipe, you shouldn't let hurt feelings stop you from helping a teammate."

This time Sideswipe is spluttering. I didn't say anything more due to Bumblebee walking up. Well... Grimlock walking up with Bumblebee in his arms. I had to hold back a laugh.

"Thank you, Astraea, but I think I can reprimand my own team", Bee says. I blink before smiling at him while Grimlock set Bumblebee down.

"I'm only trying to help, Bee! Even Optimus had help every once in a while!" I say cheerfully. Bee sighs before looking to the two Autobots I had just reprimanded.

"If we're going to work together to recapture all the escaped Decepticons, we have to learn to trust each other", he says. Strongarm looks at Sideswipe.

"I do trust Sideswipe", she says. "To mess up!"

Those words makes Sideswipe angry and they start infighting. I let out a groan before flying over to Bumblebee.

"I'm going to head over to the scrapyard", I mutter. "I don't think I can handle any more of those two."

Bumblebee nods and I fly off into the forest, towards the scrapyard. On my way there, I decide to go for a joy flight before heading back to the scrapyard. However, I apparently didn't bring my luck with me because I ended up flying into the helm of a tall silver Decepticon that looked like a wolf. I started falling down, but managed to stabilize myself with a few flaps of my wings. Unfortunately, that was what really caught the attention of the Decepticon as he brings his hand up to try and grab me. I was glad that I retained my dodging skills from my time with MECH because I dodged his hand easily.

"Don't touch me!" I growl loudly.

"Ah, you're a fierce one", he smoothly says. I blink before tilting my head slightly.

"Who are you?" I ask, flying a good distance from him, but enough to still be able to hear him. "I know you're a Decepticon, otherwise you wouldn't bear their symbol."

The 'con smiles. "Ah, you misunderstand. I am no Decepticon. I am-"

I cut him off immediately. "Lies! Your voice is too smooth to be saying that. And if you weren't a Decepticon, you would just flat out say you were an Autobot."

The wolf 'con frowns. "I see you have had contact with more of my kind."

"Plenty of contact... With both the good and evil side", I growl. The wolf moves forward slightly, to which I move backwards the slightest bit. The wolf growls slightly at the movement.

"You are easily able to see through tricks and deceptions, you have training to be able to dodge attacks, what else are you capable of?"

I smirk at him. "A lot of stuff. Trust me, there is a lot you don't know about me." He growls again.

"Perhaps it is necessary for me to kidnap you, so I can investigate what all lies behind your... fleshiness."

I laugh slightly. "Trust me, there's not just flesh to me."

"Ha! What else would a native life form of this planet have to it. Although you are the strangest one I've seen so far..."

I roll my eyes. "That's because I'm the only one of my kind."

"And what is your kind?" His voice returned to being slippery smooth so I knew he was trying to manipulate me.

"I'll tell you if you tell me your name. You never did tell me when I first asked."

"Ah. I apologize. I am Steeljaw", he says. I smile at him, though it was kinda forced.

"I would say it's a pleasure but..." I trail off, before grinning at him. "Anyway, you answered my question so I'll answer your. I am a techno-organic."

Steeljaw looked confused. "And what is that?"

I giggle softly. "That is me. I am the first of my kind."

Steeljaw growls. "That is not what I meant."

"Oh, I know", I grin. Steeljaw growls once more before leaping at me, to which I quickly fly up and into the tree, where he couldn't see me. I land on a branch capable of supporting my weight and move swiftly to another tree, further away from the 'con.

"Oh, I see... You were just trying to get me angry so you could hide..." Steeljaw murmurs, his voice soft and smooth. I heard him run off, before hearing a wolf howl in the distance. I let out a sigh of relief as I quickly fly back to the scrapyard.

"Thank Primus", I mutter as I quickly enter it to see Bumblebee and the others there, looking worried. When they see me, their worried expressions lifted. Bumblebee runs over to me.

"Astraea! There you are!" he exclaims. "When we came back, there was no sign of you, and Fix-it said he hadn't seen you since we all left this morning."

I sigh softly. "Sorry, Bee. Decided to go on a joy flight. Haven't had one of those in a while. And then..." I trail off, but Bumblebee presses me to continue.

"And then...?" he asks.

"And then I ran into this wolf looking con. Literally. I didn't give away any information, but it was interesting to learn about him. He tried to convince me he wasn't a con, but I was not easily fooled. I didn't want to lead him back to base, so I tried to get him angry, which worked, because it gave me a chance to hide", I say nervously, not quite sure why I was nervous.

"He doesn't know that you're a techno-organic, does he?" Bee asks worriedly. I blink.

"Um... he does, but he has no clue what a techno-organic is..." I mutter. Bee sighs.

"Alright, Astraea, I want you to stay in the scrapyard while we deal with this 'con. He might try to go after you more..."

I blink before glaring at him. "I'm not staying in the scrapyard."

Bee returns the glare. "Where else will you stay? Humans won't accept you due to your wings and antennae, not to mention you have swords that can easily cut a cybertronian, and we still have no clue why they can do that!"

I continue glaring at him. "Exactly why you need me out on the field! I'm small enough they won't notice me at first, and so we have the advantage of surprise!"

"No!" Bee yells. "I will not put any human, especially not the human Optimus loves, in danger!"

I start yelling too. "I'm not human, Bumblebee! At least, not anymore!"

Bee splutters before frowning. "You're not leaving the scrapyard, and that's final."

I glare at him before flying to the back of the scrapyard, where I found a corner I could sit in and cry.

'Oh, Optimus... I wish you were here... I know Bee wants what's best for me, but I want to help and he won't let me... It's so frustrating because I know I can help...'

'He is only trying to protect you, Astraea, just as I would have done.'

I let out a sob at the sound of Optimus' voice in my head.

'I know but... he could have found a better way of saying no...'

There was no answer and I ended up going back to the trailer Denny had for me to stay in. It wasn't much, but it was my own space. I ended up falling asleep as soon as I laid down on my bed.
