(Aviva's view)

The next morning I awoke to the sun shining through my curtains, I sat up with a yawn and padded downstairs to the kitchen to find my father cooking breakfast.

"Good morning, father." I greeted, as I walked into the kitchen and pulled up a stool next to the counter.

"Good morning,  my dear." he responded, as he ruffled my hair with his free hand.

"How did you sleep daddy?" I asked, and he smiled as he poured the pancake batter into the pan.

"I slept great, and how about you?" he responded, and I looked up at him.

"I slept fine, but I had another one of those dreams again." I said, and his eyebrows furrowed as he placed a hand on my forehead.

"You do feel a little warm, do you have a fever?" he asked, and I sneezed in response which made him sigh.

"My darling, I think you may have the flu." he said, as I ran to the bathroom and puked into the toilet.

"I-I don't think I do, I just feel a little sick to my stomach." I said, and father put a hand to my forehead again.

"Aviva, you're temperature is very high and you are puking." he said, as he scooped me up and carried me back upstairs to bed.

"Your job is to rest for the remainder of the day, until you recover. I've called a friend of mine and he's bringing his daughter over so you won't be lonely." Father said, as he kissed my burning forehead.

"Thanks dad," I murmured, and he smiled. "Any time love," he said, before getting up to answer the door.

"Ah Kaien, please come in." Father said, as he opened the door wider to allow the guests to come in.

"Aviva, would you come down here please dear?" father called, and I made my way downstairs then took his hand.

"Aww, who's this little cutie?" Kaien asked, as I peaked out from behind my father's leg.

"This is my daughter Aviva." Father said, as Kaien smiled before he held a hand out to me.

"Hello Aviva, my name is Kaien Cross but you can call me 'Uncle Kaien' if you like." he said, and I looked up at my father who nodded in encouragement.

"It's alright, my dear." he said, and I reached out and squeezed Kaien's hand causing him to smile.

"Who's that?" I rasped, indicating the girl my age beside him.

"This is my daughter Yuki." Kaien said, as he gestured for the girl to come over.

"Hi," I rasped, and she smiled as she grabbed my hand.

"I'm Aviva Yagari, nice to meet you." I rasped, and she grinned.

"I'm Yuki Cross, nice to meet you as well." I  gave her a small smile, before making my way back upstairs to my room and getting back into bed.

I could hear father and Kaien talking downstairs, then father laughing.

"Vira! What a pleasant surprise." I heard him greet, soon I could hear the sound of footsteps on the stairs and quickly closed my eyes as the door to my room opened.

"That's my daughter Aviva, I'd introduce you to her but she is unwell and asleep." I heard father say, as I felt him kiss my cheek before carefully and quietly closing the door so that I could sleep without any disturbance.
