Chapter 2
Ok so this is a little note. I kinda decided to write like 90% of the book in one sitting. Ik ik i probably should have worked on my homework but tbh, ehhh. So as of this moment I have 9 chapters written and that means I am at minute 55:26 of the movie out of 1:19:08. So it's pretty close to done. Now that does mean I could update most of the book right now. I don't really know what to do. Because if I do that then I would be able to publish and work on the next book faster. It's really up to you, what would you like? I'm not sure if people would like all the book at once or if they want chapters uploaded periodically. For the time being I'll keep uploading, maybe, every couple days to twice a week? If you want that to change please tell me and ofc I'll fix it.

"Therapy? Why the hell do I need therapy?" Y/n growled into her phone. She paced around her bedroom, too angry to squint when the bright light from her clear windows shone on her face.
A stern voice answered from the other end, "You attacked Damian. Whether you like it or not he's your teammate now and you need to be mature about it. Besides, it's only a couple of appointments over a few weeks, you'll survive. And I thought you liked Dr. Lamz? She's a sweet old lady and I thought we talked about this at your last physical therapy appointment?" He was referring to the small chip implanted at the base of her spine. While she was regifted with the ability to walk, it was required that she visit a doctor every couple of months or so.
Y/n ran her hand through her h/c hair, "Yeah, Oliver, but that was just talking. I don't need to see Dr. Lamz again because I don't need therapy. Even if I did, wouldn't it be a little too late? Considering how fu-"
"Okay," Oliver Queen cut her off. "I understand you may not like it, but Felicity and I are your parents and we decided." Y/n stayed quiet, not wanting to yell at her adoptive father. "Y/n, we love you and we know it wasn't the easiest thing moving over there. But your social skills have improved before your only friends were an elderly butler and a twenty-something-year-old man. Now you have other teens besides William to talk to."
"Yeah, but I actually like William. Everyone here sucks," Y/n flopped onto her soft (color) bed. The muted thump filling her body for the second she hit the covers. Thankfully her costume wasn't dirty so she didn't need to worry about her blankets. "Why do I need to wait six more months before I come back?"
Oliver sighed, "I know. But it'll be over soon. I need to get back to work. Are you going to kill Damian?"
"No promises." He laughed and Y/n smiled. She liked that she was able to make her family happy. And grateful she had a family to make happy. "Say 'hi' to Felicity and William for me. Love you." Her father said goodbye with a 'love you too'. Y/n hung up the receiver and groaned.
It had been a day since Dick dropped the newest edition to the Teen Titans off and the news of Y/n's "attack" spread around the League. Batman wasn't fazed and knew if she were to ever come in contact with her old...colleague, there were bound to be some sort of bruise left behind. When Bruce told Alfred what happened, the old man smiled and shook his head. After the years of her being moved, the British man could still feel her feistiness.
A knock on Y/n's door ripped through the air, along with an answer and the heavy metal door sliding open. "Hello, Y/n. I was wondering if you would like to chat," Koriand'r greeted. She was in her usual work attire, the purple is a little too much for Y/n's taste. "You're father contacted me about your mental health doctor. I just wanted to ensure you were feeling alright, given your outburst yesterday.
"Great, so he's telling everyone my business now?" Y/n rolled her eyes and sat up, resting her chin in her hands.
"Well, you did attack Damian. And as the leader of this team, it is my duty to check on the well being of its members," the alien stated. "And, if I'm being honest, I see myself in you Y/n. I do not feel we are very different."
The young hero sighed and stood up, wanting to be alone. "All due respect Star, be quiet." Starfire's green eyes widened. "All I did was slap him a little, considering our line of work, I'd say that's nothing. I was raised with Damian, I know what he can handle and if I wanted to hurt him I would have." She walked towards the open door but stopped to address one more comment Kori made. "And we're nothing alike, Star. Your sister ran you out of your home planet. I killed mine." Y/n left without turning back, not caring to notice what the look on her leader's golden face was.
Oh, you have gotta be shitting me.
Damian was occupying the training room. In costume, Robin was slicing the simulated men with ease. Their swords clashed together as Robin flipped over a group, stabbing when he got the chance. The defeated men dissipated into thin air as the green pixels disappeared. The swishing sounds were joined with the occasional grunt from Robin as he finished the rest. More appeared, reading the training ground for another round.
"He hasn't stopped for an hour and a half," Blue Beetle complained to Beast Boy.
Y/n looked to her side and saw Starfire walk up to the training platform. She must have followed her after down here. "Damian, it's time to let others have their turn," her gentle voice tried to convince the boy to stop. Robin responded with an 'I'm not finished' and continued to do what he was doing.
Y/n had enough and went to the control panel to stop the program from running. Before the men could attack Damian, they disappeared and the machine shut down. Damian glanced back at who turned it off. His eyes were locked with Y/n's as she chose not to say anything. Jaime, on the other hand, wanted to rub it in the brat's face.
"Gee, how'd that happen?" Damian suddenly flung a Batarang at the teen hero and as a reflex, or due to the scarab, the specialized weapon was shot down and left sizzling on the floor. "What the hell?"
"Hmph, I heard your tech was fast," Damian noted. "I wanted to see how fast," he smirked.
Jaime proceeded to confront Damian, only for Damian to respond as his usual smug self would. Starfire tried to intervene, as well as Raven, but it was no use. Damian didn't want to be there and it showed. Robin insulted Starfire (not unlike how Y/n had done not moments ago) which led to a brawl between Blue Beetle and Robin. Raven gasped as the two fought and Cardinal could practically feel what was coming.
That idiot doesn't know what Beetle can do.
And as Y/n predicted, Damian wedged his way under Jaime's skin, causing him to lose control and have the scarab attack at full power. A strong blast hit Damian directly in the face throwing him across the room.
"Damian!" Y/n gasped as she ran towards his thrown body. Blue Beetle got there first and he powered up once again. Cardinal stood behind him and readied her bow a few feet away from him. An amateur couldn't miss this shot. "Don't think I won't."
"Enough!" Starfire's voice echoed as she shot a beam to stop Jaime.
He powered down and looked at the mess that happened. Damian was on the ground with a half-burnt face that reminded Y/n of an infamous villain Dick had told her about.
"I tried to stop it," Jaime reasoned.
Y/n rushed over to Damian's side to see if he was still alive. "Well thank goodness for that huh?" her words soaked in sarcasm. Starfire sent her a glare signaling for her to stop acting that way.
"Dios Mio. Is he dead?"
Starfire claimed he was barely alive and BB unintentionally joked about the awkward call to Batman when Raven stepped forward and kneeled at Damian's head. She spoke words Y/n didn't know the meaning of and her and Damian's body glew a dark purple. Slowly the burn wound faded away, Damian's skin returning to normal and his jet black hair growing to its original length. Once she was finished Raven gasped and fell into Starfire's arms. Beast Boy transformed into a gorilla and carried the pale girl into her room.
Damian stirred on the floor and he rested on his knees, "W-what happened?" He clutched his head while trying to remember. The rest of the team stood up, Starfire explained how Raven healed him and why they had to tend to her. Jaime apologized on the way out, although to Y/n and Damian apologizes didn't seem to make anything better in this situation.
Y/n stayed behind and looked at Damian. She studied his face and wondered what he was thinking because in all the years she's known him, he'd never looked so...sympathetic before. Cardinal's throat closed and felt dry while her jaw tightened, she seemed to be getting into a lot of bad moods recently. "You good?" Damian nodded, not looking at her, still gazing at where the team had left. Y/n rolled her e/c eyes once more. "Here's your mask," she tossed the green mask onto the floor in front of Damian.
His emerald green eyes fluttered as they landed on his mask. He quickly set his eyes on Y/n who was already halfway to the other exit, and he too had his throat close and dry up.
