chapter 4: Mingling
I had nothing better to do, so I decided to take a walk around the entire facility. I admit, everything seemed more awesome the more I see it.
I found myself going into a room, and when I peeked, I found out it was D.Va's room, since her room was wide, had some posters with Korean writings, and, the most obvious, her mech.
I got out before she could even see me, and I accidentally bumped onto someone. I stumbled a bit, and shaking my head to clear it.
"Are you alright?" A feminine Swiss accent voice was heard. When my vision is better, I saw a woman, dressing up like a futuristic angel.
"Yeah. I'm alright. Thick armour, though," I commented. I then noticed she was floating. Her legs weren't touching the floor!
"Are you floating with some sort of technology you've put into your armour?" I asked, being slightly curious.
"Why, yes. I am," she replied. I nodded at this. "What's your name?" I asked. "I am Mercy. . . Or Angela Ziegler," she introduced herself. "I'm Liao. Liao Xiura," I told her.
She gave me the same stare to me, before she looked away. I thought I heard her mutter, "no way it's THAT Liao. . ."
I left her before she could even look at me again. Mainly because, that's how I roll.
I then stopped on my tracks, seeing a dwarfish-looking person, fixing a mechanical arm of some sort.
"You need help there?" I asked, once I had approached him. He saw me, and shook his head. "I can do this on my own," he replied.
I nodded. "But can I watch you fix?" I asked. He seemed to hesitate, before replying, "sure. Young men like you should learn things once in a while."
"Alright then. What're you fixing here, specifically? I know it's a mechanical arm," I asked, once I grabbed a nearby stool and sat in front of him.
"It's a prosthetic arm. I am fixing this so just in case someone loses an arm, this thing can replace it," he replied.
"Oh. That's really interesting. So you're putting technology for a greater vision for humans?" I asked, my curiousity slightly peaking.
The man looked at me. "Yes," he simply replied. "I, too, would like to create technology for the purpose of protecting humanity," I replied.
The man looked at me, his eyes twinkling. "But I can't really build any good technology. I don't have the potential to create something that can help humanity," I stated, looking down.
"It's alright, young man," he told me, a hand on my shoulder. I looked up at him. "You haven't told me your name yet," I said.
"Ah, right. I am Tobjörn Lindholm," he introduced himself. "I'm Liao Xiura," I told him.
This causes Tobjörn to stare at me in confusion, before shaking his head. I then felt someone poking my shoulder.
I turned around, and saw that it was Tracer. "Winston's calling you," she told me. I nodded, and got off of my seat.
"Well, see ya latee, Tobjörn," I told him. "See you later, Xiura," he replied. Wait, did he just call me 'Xiura'? I'm Liao!!
That doesn't matter. I just continued walking, while Tracer keeps blinking here and there.
