There are so many coffee shops in Jeju, Yoo Mina happens to work at Gongbech. Is this some kind of cruel joke that heaven is playing with Kim Mina? Why fate always tries to push her closer to Min Yoongi? She got emotionally injured during her past life, yet in her new life, she still cannot escape his circle. She expressed her wish to Yoona that she wants to find another place to work using the excuse that Gongbech was where Yoo Mina met that jerk and the shop reminds her of too much pain. Yoona yelled at her for such a ridiculous idea, because Gongbech pays the most and has the best employee benefits in Daegu. Yoona made herself face her pain by working there. Kim Mina could not argue with her since she is relying on Yoona to live this life so she reluctantly reports to her shift at Gongbech few days after her "sick leave".

Stepping into Gongbech makes Kim Mina started to think of Yoongi. They have been separated for few months now. She wonders how he is living, probably pretty well she imagines. Without an eyesore like her lurking around his personal space, he must be happy. She is upset at herself for keep thinking of him. She must forget about Min Yoongi and continues on with her new life. God has granted her a second chance to live, she does not want to "waste" this chance on a man anymore. "Forget him, forget him, forget him" - she tries to hypnotize herself. The whole time witnessing Mina's odd behavior, clueless Yoona thought Mina was trying to forget that jerk Lee Byung-ho.

Kim Mina got acclimated to her barista job very quickly since she spent a lot of time getting trained by professionals to make that perfect cup of joe for Min Yoongi. Besides, it is not her first time here at Gongbech. When Yoongi had to take her with him to Daegu for family events, his brother, Min Junki, took them here to hang out quite often. However, every time they came to the shop, Yoongi would disappeared to his secret studio on the top floor and left her awkwardly spending time with Junki and his fiance. They taught Mina the art of barista, because both of them were enthusiasts.

Lucky for Kim Mina, a few weeks went by quite smoothly and peacefully. She got to experience a lot of new things like night market, jijimbang, internet cafe, exhaustion from work, insults from rude customers, sincerity of friendliness, ect. All these new experiences and Yoona's companion distracts her from thinking of Min Yoongi.

Kim Mina thought she could carry on living like that until that fateful night. She was scheduled the closing shift that evening so she tries to finish all the side works in order to clock out early. When she was about to lock the door as the last customer left, she hears the voice that she could never forget.

"Excuse me, please don't lock it yet." - Min Yoongi hastily walks toward her.

He appears in Mina's sight and makes her whole world stand still. The shell that she has arduously built around her new self slowly cracking as he approached closer. Her heart beats so rapidly that she could not breath and her eyes start swelling up with tears. Mina quickly lowers her head to hide her face and steps aside to let him in.

"I know that you are closed but please make me a large Americano. I will make sure Jungki's hyung compensate for your time. My apology." - Min Yoongi speaks in his sexy husky voice as he walks toward the counter.

Mina nervously follows him and get behind the counter to make the coffee he requested. She tries so hard to compose herself because her trembling hands almost dropped the cup. She steals a glance at Yoongi when she hands him the coffee. His complexion looks paler than before, his eyes are sunken, and he has lost a lot of weight. The suppressed feeling begins resurfacing inside her heart. She dares not to look at him directly. She is afraid that she could not contain her emotion. There stands the only man she ever loves yet he is unreachable. They are separated only by the shop counter but it feels as if they are thousand miles apart.

"Thank you." - Yoongi weakly smiles at Mina as he grabs the coffee. She keeps her head low and dares not to meet his eyes. She's afraid that her soul would get lost in them again. Doesn't she realize that she has never escaped?
