CH 5

I began moving like a normal person now, and I went to the drinks table, only a few feet away to the guy who was in love with me for years and whom I sucked off only but a few weeks ago.

I poured myself a shot first, deciding I would only have one, and then I poured myself fire whiskey; in which I'd have multiple, but an adequate total. As to not be completely off my face.

"Davina?" I turned and saw Enzo, lipstick smudged over his lips. The girl went off to dance and he walked over to me. "I didn't see you."

"Yeah, I just got here."

"You look, amazing."

"That girl did too," I joked.

"Ah, jealous are we? I'm flattered."

"No, I'm just a little confused. You've been acting miserable and have kind of been avoiding me, and now all of a sudden you want to suck face with a random girl."

"Just part of my process if you don't mind. And I'd prefer it if you don't comment on my sexual life."

"Fine."

"Good." I stalked off and enjoyed the party, making sure I danced closely with many guys. Blaise had even picked up on what I was doing and we started dancing.

"This can kill two birds with one stone," he said in my ear so I could hear over the music, as his hands were on my hips as I swayed.

"How?"

"Well, us dancing like this is a birthday special for me and you can make Enzo jealous."

"Then let's do some dancing," I smirked.

We got closer, and I wrapped my hands around his neck, and he placed his hands on my ass.

"He's looking. Do you trust me?" I nodded. He gently leaned my head back, exposing my neck and Blaise grazed his lips along my throat. He brought me back and I smiled wide as we began having fun.

"I think the mission has been accomplished," he said and darted his eyes over to whee Enzo was. Which was against a wall, downing his drink. I was torn between feeling bad and having fun and I decided to go with the latter.

"Thank you for tonight Princess, I really liked having you there." Blaise said. Draco was fast asleep so Blaise invited me to his humble abode, which was just his bed that we were lying on. I changed into joggers and tank top, and he was just in joggers.

"You're welcome, I had fun."

"Oh I know." I chuckled. "But do you know something?" He asked.

"Hmm, I don't think I do," I said, playing dumb.

"Do you know that I will always be there for you."

"It wasn't a prominent thought but I assumed, because I'll always be there for you."

"I know, because I'm just so great."

"Of course." Blaise was all smiles and it felt like a breath of fresh air and a bunch of laughs whenever we were together.

"Anyways. goodnight, love you munchkin," he said messing up my hair, like he always does.

"Night, Monsieur." He kissed my forehead and then he turned over to sleep and I did the same.

"No, no, no," I protested, but it didn't work. They all started to lift me off the bed.

It was almost April and I have been stressing about school and life for the passed week, which has proven to be exhausting. I chose this morning to sleep in and my very nice friends came and made me get up after their first class.

"You have to get up. Seize the day!" Blaise exaggerated as he held my legs.

"You've got to go to class too, attendance is important," Draco blabbed as he held my arms.

"Don't waste your time sleeping," Theo joked as he held my waist.

In a matter of moments I was standing on the cold floor beside Draco's bed which I was lying comfortably in just moments ago, before they all came bustling in.

"You three are a nuisance. It's bloody cold." I said, hugging myself.

"Get dressed and you won't be cold." I stuck my tongue and went to the bathroom to get in my school clothes. We all had DADA together so they had waited for me. I walked out and they clapped.

"She has entered."

"M'lady," Theo said and he got on one knee and extended his hand to guide me.

"Queen Claire," Draco said in a dramatised tone and he bowed before me.

"Mademoiselle," Blaise said, and he grabbed my hand and kissed it, "darling angel."

"Oh, all of you just bugger off." They laughed and straightened back up.

"So, who won?" Blaise asked.

"What do you mean?"

"Just now, when you entered, we planned what we'd say to see which one of us was best at being gentleman-like."

"Ah, you guys are such weirdos."

"Well you're friends with us so what does that say about you," Theo said and I smiled.

"Um, I think it's safe to say that Blaise won, seen as how he said darling. And he knows that being called angel is a weakness of mine."

"That is biased, you two have been sexually involved," Theo protested.

"Yeah, he has an advantage," Draco joined.

"Oh shush the both of you. You made me get up, now let's go."

We made it just in time for DADA, and the lesson was a bore. Because of exams, this class became more theoretical than practical which is what made it a bore

I was on my way to divination alone, because none of the guys took this class. I usually sat alone too and I did partner work with Luna, because she was really good at divination and she always says "you're aura fascinates my subconscious".

I walked in, and as usual I went to my seat which was behind Michael's. But something that wasn't usual was that he was sitting alone.

"Hello, Davina, you are emanating stress. Oh, I hope it's not because of exams. I don't like to reveal these kinds of things but you are going to do very well." I smiled, however, I was distracted by Michael. "Oh, I'm sorry, I've interrupted your thoughts."

"Sorry, Luna, no you haven't. Thank you for what you said."

"My pleasure."

I leant forward and tapped on Michael's shoulder and he turned around and smiled.

"Hey Dav."

"Hi. Where's your usual seat buddy?"

"Oh, Anthony, he's sick."

"That's unfortunate."

"Do you want to sit?"

"Oh, um," I turned to Luna gesturing that I was already sitting with something and he nodded facing the front. Then Luna leaned over to me and whispered.

"You should sit with him, it's the universe's wish."

"Okay, thank you Luna." I stood up and stepped down one to sit with Michael.

"What about Luna," he said deeply and his eyes looked down at my legs which were bare as I was wearing a skirt.

"She said it was okay."

"Good," he smirked, a muscle flickering in his jaw. I crossed my legs and swallowed, turning to face a trembling Trelawney who was beginning the lesson.

A quarter of an hour passed and as Trelawney finished speaking I had realised that I didn't pay attention to a word she said.

"Now, if you would just turn to your partners, yes, and begin!"  She blurted. I turned to Michael, who was already gazing in my eyes as if he was assessing my soul.

"What are we doing?" I asked In a low voice. Even though Trelawney was far away, she can hear things.

"You weren't listening? We're right in front."

"No, I was um, thinking." He smirked

"We are looking at phyllomancy. We learnt about it last lesson, so now we're actually doing it."

"Why did we have to turn to our partners?"

"Because we have to take each others leaves."

"What leaves?" I looked on the table and there I found several leaves.

"She floated them in the air and then they went to the person they connected to."

"How did I miss that?"

"What were you so distracted by?" I tried thinking of an answer but failed.

"Just, give me your leaves." He chuckled smugly and gave me his leaves and he stared at me while I interpreted them using our textbook.
