CH 10

"I just, he made me feel uncomfortable. I don't- I feel... he was overpowering me and I couldn't do anything. There were people everywhere but no one- no one was doing anything. He kept blocking me from passing and I couldn't breathe- I couldn't-" My chest tightened again and Michael made me look at him.

"Davina, take slow and steady breaths okay." I tried but it wasn't wasn't working and I was beginning to really freak out.

"I ca- I can't."

"Please, for me. Come on, do it with me," I replicated his breaths and slowly I began to breathe properly. I looked at him, then I looked to the ground, followed by me completely breaking down.

"I hate feeling like this, I'm so cold."

"What can I do? What do you want me to do Davina." He was a little frantic and I knew that he hated seeing me like this. This wouldn't help his nightmares.

I just needed him.

"Just hold me, protect me from everything." He stood up and pull the duvet down and then returned to me and took off my robes and school clothes. Then he got a pair of his joggers and dressed me in them, carefully wiping my tears as he did so. He put a jumper of his over my head and carried me to lie down.

He laid next to me and he hugged me into him tightly, cocooning me as I cried into his chest. I kept shivering, but as he kept hold of me I slowly felt warmer, safer, protected.

I woke up, and felt tired already. The room was dark as I opened my eyes, and I realised I was alone in the bed. I froze, assessing my surroundings and I heard his voice so I relaxed once again.

"She's sleeping," he whispered, I realised he was at the door.

"Is she okay?" It was Draco.

"No. Did you see what he did to her?" I was surprised at how calm he sounded.

"Blaise came to the table and we asked him where Davina was and so that's when we turned our heads. He was towering over her so we couldn't see anything. Why?"

"He called her filthy names, and he brought up a rumour about how she killed Mattheo. But I think the part that really got to her was that she couldn't escape or move, she was helpless; he also touched her face as well the prick. I was practically running and that's when I hooked him." Hearing it over again made me shiver. Helpless.

"He deserves a lot more."

"I agree, but she told me not to." At least he listens.

"She didn't tell me anything, I'll happily go and slice him in half." Come on Draco.

"Can I watch?" Michael had joked and they both chuckled, getting along. I smiled.

"Alright, well I'll leave you." there was no sound, Draco had paused. "Thank you."

"For what?"

"Loving her, protecting her."

"Always, I always will, she's my oxygen." I felt warm again.

"Don't get sappy, I get the gist," I smiled and Michael laughed, "night mate." After a few moments I heard the door close and he walked over to me.

"Your awake," he said softly. I opened my arms, gesturing for him to come back. "Sorry you woke up alone, Draco came to see if you were okay."

"It's alright, I heard your voice, I was only worried for a moment." He leant down to kiss my forehead and then he sat up against the headboard and I laid my head on his lap while he traced his fingers through my hair.

"Do you want to talk about it, or you're all talked out?"

"I'm all talked out. But you know how I felt, I didn't really use words and you understood how I felt."

"What do you mean?"

"I said I heard your voice, I heard what you were saying to Draco. You understood me."

"I saw you when it happened, you were panicking, frozen, it scared the shit out of me."

"Sorry, I didn't mean to."

"It's alright, don't apologise for how you feel, you have every right to feel however you bloody want to. But that prick should never feel happiness again." I giggled. "There's that amazing sound."

"Hey, Michael," I said, sitting up.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing, I just wanted to tell you something, and show you."

"Anything, what is it?"

"I wanted to tell you about the worst of what my father did to me." He froze, not expecting me to talk about that. I remember the time on the astronomy tower when I told Mat. I chose to tell him, but now, I wanted Michael to know, I wasn't ashamed.

I told him about the three curses that were casted on me at once and how when I was being healed, a few scars were so deep that I still had them. I told him about feeling helpless during that moment.

"That's why you panicked, it's trauma," he said.

"What?" I asked, too lost in memories to understand what he was saying.

"During what that guy did to you, you felt hopeless, like when your father did that stuff to you. It's trauma." I was back in reality and understood what he was saying.

"That's why I wanted you to know. I felt like I should tell you. Draco doesn't even know that story, it's the only thing he doesn't know about me."

"Then it's really serious. Do you mind if I ask to see it?" I nodded.

"It's on my inner thigh." I pulled down my pants and got out my wand revealing the scars. He hovered over me.

"It looks fresh still, like it's just happened."

"That's why I hide it."

"All this time and I never knew that was there."

"That's how I have it." He leaned further down and I felt his breath on my inner thigh, then I felt his lips, lightly press a kiss over the scar.

"Don't hide it."

"You don't think it's gross?"

"Nothing about you is gross. You're beautiful, I love all of you, princess." I put down my wand and I lifted my pants back up.

"Then I won't hide it," I smiled and he met my lips.

"You up for school tomorrow? Well today technically." I glanced at the clock that read 2:38, and I turned back to him.

"We've got Divination first, so I think I'll be fine."

"Alright." We laid there, him caressing me. "Are you alright? After what happened and after telling me." I was lying on him and I glanced up at him, smiling.

"Yeah."

"Just know, that as long as you allow me to be in your life, I will never make you feel helpless." I didn't answer, knowing I didn't need to. I just cuddled him tighter while he continued caressing me softly.

"I love you Michael." He exhaled and I looked up at him as he smiled warmly.

"I love you too angel."

The day was going smoothly. A few people watched warily because I was walking around with an entourage.

The boys: Draco, Blaise, Enzo and Theo insisted on being my chauffeur before and after my classes.

And if that wasn't overbearing then it was Michael who went to all my classes with me and convinced all the teachers to let him stay in the classroom with me despite him having his own classes running.

We were walking to lunch now, all of us, and Michael was carrying my book bag and walked a protective pace a step in front of me while the 4 guys were behind me. We went into the hall and a dozen people glanced our way, most of them looking at me to see if I was a celebrity of some sort due to there practically being 5 bodyguards surrounding me. I saw the Gryffindor, with his banged up face and then looked down as he had glanced my way. Michael had noticed and I grabbed his hand and brought him to me.

"Love, just leave it," I said and his face slowly went from killer to tense as I squeezed his hand. The Gryffindor had been looking at him and I saw the fear from the Slytherin table. He then got up and rushed out, and as he did so, the 5 guys watched him, looking ready to pounce at any moment. I just laughed, relieved that he had left.

"Hey, I survived the trip to the table," I joked as we all sat down and they all looked at me, baffled. "The guy didn't stab me, he was just being a teenager."

"No, he touched you," Michael firmly stated.

"Non-consensually," Draco added.

"He should be stabbed," Blaise insisted.

"Or murdered slowly," Enzo proposed.

"Yeah what they said," Theo mumbled and I laughed at him while the others just rolled their eyes.

"You are nowhere in the wrong," Draco said, looking at me seriously.

"Exactly, you shouldn't feel like you have to hide now, we're here." Michael said as he put a hand on my thigh beneath my skirt. I smiled gratefully to all of them while they stuffed their faces.

"Thank you boys. Really. I Love you all."

"Yeah, we love you too munchkin," Blaise smiled, and they all nodded in agreement, Michael kissing my forehead and whispering it in my ear.

"Why don't we do something tonight, have some fun. Maybe stop trying to plot the Gryffindor's murder?" Blaise suggested and we all tittered.

"Yeah, drink a few drinks, dance some dancing, and have ourselves a little party," he continued.

"A party?" I questioned.

"Not a party, but just us, you know, in our dorm or whatever."

"Yeah, that sounds fun," I said, and everyone was agreeing and organising who was bringing alcohol. I turned to Michael who hadn't said anything, knowing it would be tricky for him to come.

"You have fun with your friends, I'll see you tomorrow," he said, feeling my hands in his.

"Tomorrow? I will be at your dorm tonight."

"You don't have to."

"Oh, come on. You're telling me that you're fine with me dancing and drinking with several guys and then sleeping in one of their beds while you stay awake in your own, alone, singing happy birthday to yourself." He came close and whispered.

"First of all, I don't sing. Second, you will be sleeping in a bed by yourself and you will have a couple drinks and then continue with water, understand," he said hoarsely, then continued. "I want you to enjoy yourself, I trust you, and I know you'll be tired so you really don't have to come all the way back to my dorm."

"You will see me tonight."

"Sweetheart you really don't-"

"Michael, I'm serious. I don't care, I want to be with you."

"Yes boss," he joked and leaned in to kiss me softly.

"Don't call me boss."

"Whatever you say princess." I smiled and kissed him once more, feeling the warmth of his lips on my own, enjoying the taste of him.

"This is a place for eating food, not each other," Blaise complained.

"You're just jealous mate. When was the last time you got any?" Theo said and we all laughed.
