A/N:

This chapter is going to be really short. Like REALLY short. So short it probably doesn't even classify as a chapter. I know what I said about making the chapters longer but I've got a really good idea fro this chapter and the ones coming after, which I promise to make longer.

Tobias POV

I turn around to thank Nina but she's already long gone. It's now only Matthew, Me and the long, white, sterile hallway. There's only one door at the end. I already know it's the door that leads to Tris. I want to run. To run faster than I've ever run before. To run through the door and wrap her in my arms. But I can't. My legs refuse to move. I forcefully take a step. A small step.

Doubts start to fill my mind. What if she doesn't know who I am? What if she's moved on? What if she's asleep? Permanently?

I take another step and continue, mindlessly. I am subconsciously aware of Matthew walking behind me but I pay no attention to him. After what seems like an hour of drowning in my thoughts, I arrive at the door. It seems to tower over me. Like the door to a giants house. My palms suddenly feel sweaty, clammy.

I place one hand on the door. Reluctantly, I give it a slight push. The sight behind the door leaves me speechless.
