Tris POV

I hear a noise. Someone dropped something. I open my eyes to find myself in a white room filled with machines and wires. I'm lying on a cold, metal table. I try sitting up but I’ve been strapped down.

"Help! Somebody help me!" I call out.

A lady runs in, a nurse by the looks of it. She runs around checking all the machines then comes to check on me. Her deep green eyes study my face and after a few seconds she says, "Your eyes are a pretty colour. A grey-blue colour. Very unusual."

I stare at her blankly.

"I'm your nurse, Kee. Are you hungry? You look hungry."

I suddenly felt a jabbing pain in my stomach. Hunger. "Um. Yes. Could I please have a sandwich?" I asked her, confused.

"Of course. I would be hungry if I were you. Two and a half years without food is a long time."

Before I could say anything in reply she turned around and left. Where have I been for two and a half years? Where am I now?

Kee returns with my sandwich and I eat it without delay. When the pain in my stomach is gone I ask her the question that has been eating away at my brain, "where am I?"

"The Bureau of Genetic Welfare." The name sounds familiar but I can't put my finger on it.

"How long have I been here?"

"You've been in a coma for two and a half years now. We've been doing studies on you. Everybody thinks you're dead but it was your twin sister that actually died. Tobias thought it was actually you and took her body back to Chicago with him. Well, I better go. See you later." Before another word could escape my mouth she turned around and left. A few seconds later her head popped back through the door.

"You called for help. What did you need help with?" I stared at her blankly for a few moments, completely frazzled by her question then remembered being strapped in.

"Oh. Unstrapping me from the table. Do you think you could do that?"

"I would love to, but I can't. Doctors’ orders. Sorry. Bye." And with that she finally left

I looked up at the ceiling and eventually drifted off to sleep.
